So,
I
was
on
ward
1B
for
a
planned
cruciate
ligament
surgery
and
would
like
to
leave
a
detailed
review
here.
Surgery
preparation
interview:
I
had
an
appointment
at
9
a.m.
I
was
allowed
to
wait
until
10:30
a.m.
to
have
my
blood
drawn,
then
another
half
hour
for
the
anesthesia
doctor
who
talked
to
me
for
5
minutes
and
did
nothing
except
repeat
the
questions
on
the
medical
history
form.
After
another
30
minutes
of
waiting,
I
had
the
same
thing
again
with
the
doctor.
But
good
is
probably
the
rule
but
the
waiting
time
wasn't
that
special.
Surgery
day:
I
was
due
to
arrive
at
the
ward
at
8:30
and
I
hadn't
eaten
for
6
hours.
I
was
shown
my
room
there
and
I
thought
it
would
start
at
any
moment.
I
waited
until
11:30
until
a
nurse
told
me
I
was
scheduled
for
2:45
p.m.
At
3:20
p.m.
the
time
had
come.
17
hours
of
not
eating
anything
and
waiting
excitedly
in
the
room
for
almost
7
hours
is
better.
Eat:
I
only
had
dinner
and
breakfast
but
you
can't
complain
about
that,
a
large
selection
of
bread
as
well
as
jam,
cheese
and
other
things
were
really
solid,
plus
the
fruit
and
vegetables
were
still
really
good.
Most
people
weren't
that
enthusiastic
about
lunch
but
I
can't
rate
that
-
there
are
always
3
options
you
can
choose
from
the
day
before
Room:
I
was
in
a
4-bed
room,
which
was
never
fully
occupied.
The
room
actually
had
everything
you
needed,
the
bathroom
was
also
solid
and
everything
was
of
course
clean.
My
roommates
were
also
very
pleasant
and
easy
to
talk
to.
Staff:
Pretty
much
everyone
I
spoke
to
there
was
really
nice
and
warm
and
always
willing
to
answer
questions
very
well.
Unfortunately,
the
shortage
of
nursing
staff
is
also
quite
clear
here.
Waiting
for
3
hours
on
ice
to
cool
down
a
knee
that
has
just
had
surgery
is
simply
not
okay.
The
day
after
the
operation,
I
was
bleeding
through
the
bandage
on
the
operated
leg,
the
nurse
said
the
doctor
would
come
take
a
look
(spoiler:
he
didn't
come
during
the
entire
hospital
stay)
and
I
also
waited
over
24
hours
for
the
promised
bandage
change.
Of
course
it's
not
the
staff's
fault;
they
already
have
a
lot
to
do
and
do
a
really
great
job,
but
it's
still
important
to
mention.
Visit:
It
really
took
5
seconds
and
that's
not
an
exaggeration,
there
was
no
option
to
ask
questions
and
that
was
the
only
time
I
saw
a
doctor
that
wasn't
good.
Dismissal:
Normally
you
are
allowed
to
walk
as
soon
as
you
can
climb
stairs
and
walk.
I
was
able
to
do
that
on
Friday
morning,
but
I
was
still
supposed
to
stay
until
Sunday.
After
some
discussion,
I
was
allowed
to
leave
on
Saturday.
Empty
beds
just
don't
bring
in
any
money,
but
that
really
shouldn't
be
the
priority
here.
I
would
give
it
between
3
and
4
stars
and
therefore
find
the
average
rating
of
3.6
stars
very
justified
and
would
agree
with
it.
Since
it's
still
a
hospital
and
not
an
all-inclusive
vacation,
I
think
you
can
give
it
4
stars
Update:
I
was
told
in
the
consultation
that
3
cuts
on
the
knee
would
be
needed
for
the
operation,
when
I
took
off
the
bandage
today
I
saw
that
there
were
4?!
This
was
never
communicated
to
me
