Update
June
2023:
The
new
second
training
room
is
really
nice.
First
review:
As
a
weekly
commuter,
I
try
to
attend
a
strength
class
at
Berlin
Barbell
every
now
and
then
because
life
is
too
short
for
bad
gyms
😉;
So
I'm
not
a
regular
member,
but
rather
a
garage
gym
person.
I
find
the
concept
of
mobility
and
strength
classes
very
useful
because
it
is
the
basics
for
all
sorts
of
activities
and
other
sports.
I
suspect
that
many
members
are/were
new
to
training,
or
were
disillusioned
with
the
Globo
Gym
rental
agreement,
or
are
athletes
because
of
other
sports.
The
coaches
attach
great
importance
to
the
quality
of
movement
(instead
of
"shooting",
"ego
lifting"),
which
I
also
notice
in
the
members'
progress,
almost
in
fast
motion.
I
always
get
helpful
feedback
in
the
classes
and
that's
probably
where
it
comes
from.
The
classes
and
“community”
are
pretty
relaxed.
A
bit
of
small
talk
in
between.
Normal
people.
I
think
the
gym
building
itself
is
a
converted
auto
repair
shop
or
something
like
that;
So
rather
small
in
terms
of
floor
space
with
correspondingly
limited
functional
spaces,
e.g.
shower,
toilet,
etc.
You
should
understand
that.
I
can't
do
anything,
that's
right
(I
go
there
to
do
sports
and
don't
expect
a
wellness
oasis).
The
reception
area
has
been
newly
renovated
with
a
couch
(but
you
have
to
share
the
gym
dog
"Khalipa"
🐶),
counter
and
standing
chairs.
You
can
create
a
drinks
menu
for
drinks
and
snacks.
Tap
water
is
free.
There
are
lockers
with
keys
in
the
locker
room.
The
location
can
be
reached
very
quickly
via
U9
(Osloer),
U8
(Pankstr),
S-Bahn
(Gesundbrunnen)
and
from
the
tram
station
on
foot.
Fritz
is
also
a
real
equipment
nerd
and
likes
to
talk
about
it
a
lot
when
you
talk
to
him.
In
any
case,
everything
you
need
is
there
for
the
classes
😉
