Good: sound was clear and at a decent volume, balancing immersion and ear comfort. Bad: no climate control, no fresh air. The audience was fanning ourselves from the humid heat, everybody was sweating. Also: The seats are not designed for any movie longer than 90 minutes, unless you are a sadomasochist.

Love this theater but if you want to watch Oppenheimer the next days, go there in your bathing suits. It is extremely hot. No air con!! Not kidding. People came out melting. Why don’t you have an air con there. Or why don’t you turn it on?

One of the best cinema experiences I ever had in my life! Watched Tenet (OV) in 70mm and it was fantastic. The screen was big, the image was super sharp and nice. Based on previous reviews here I had worries about the sound, but I can assure you that this was certainly not the case. The sound was extremely good. Previously I have seen Tenet at the Cubix Cinema Alexanderplatz. It was an okay experience, but it’s not even close to what you get here at Delphi. If you love cinema as much as I do and you want to see Tenet: do it here!!

The theatre is beautiful and historic from the outside, but has some flaws for a really grand and prestigious movie experience: The cinema itself is very long and narrow and the screen size isn't quite big enough for anything past row 15. I watch the 70mm version of Oppenheimer in a sold out theater, but AC or air supply isn't build for a sold out 3 hour movie. Halfway through the movie it felt like in the U-Bahn on a hot summer night. I had a really hard time enjoying the movie. Also the rows aren’t - typically for historic theaters - stacked steep enough behind each other so 8 out of 10 times you end up with the head of the person in front of you blocking the bottom of the screen. I was looking forward to a grandiose movie spectacle of a summer blockbuster in 70mm but the theater itself didn’t live up to the occasion. The projection and sound is without flaws though and the concessions stand is reasonably priced.

Geht einfach mal hin🎬

They say "original language" on their (English) website even when it is dubbed into German! We came all the way out to this theatre from Prankow in the rain by bike just to see Oppenheimer in 70mm having CAREFULLY checked for original language. About 10 other people are in the same situation of having to return tickets – or indeed wanting to, Germans with taste* are sitting with me wanting to see the actors in their original voice. Besides the travel time, you have to wait until they fill all their popcorn & drinks sales before you can exchange your tickets, making it impossible for someone else to get your seat as well. The staff were outstanding, I'm sure the theatre is cool, but the review stays low until Yorck Kino apologises and promises to correct their (EN) website. *I'm tempted to say "and language skills", but anyone who can read can learn to read subtitles. Sometimes I wish I lived in Denmark or Portugal, not Germany!

The cinema itself looks grandiose and fancy! You get that feeling of going back in time a little. We sat in row 19 but I would say even though it was quite far from the screen, I could still see everything well. Still, I subtract two point for two very important things: popcorn and ventilation. There is no popcorn :( I understand the place is fancy but it just doesn't feel the same seeing a movie with an overpriced bag of nuts instead of a bag of good old popcorn. Second, the ventilation! The venue was quite packed on a chilly evening and there was no air to breathe during the movie. Imagine 700 people in a room with no/poor ventilation. It was really difficult to breathe and extremely hot. This made it hard to enjoy the movie fully. I cannot imagine how it gets when it's actually warm outside.

I love the Delphi. It just has a great vibe. Huge cinema, but not like these awful Cineplex/Cinemax etc.

Das ist ein super schönes altes Kino in Berlin an der Kantstraße, sehr gut zu erreichen. Die Kino Mitarbeiter waren sehr höflich. Der Kinosaal ist sehr groß und die Sitze sind super bequem.

It's an interesting experience. The place feels like an opera or a theater, definitely a.different vibe from the normal cinema. Also no popcorn. Many people were sipping on sparkling wine or something similar.

It's a really big cinema but it's actually quite difficult to watch anything in front of you if you get a place in the back cause the chais are placed in the room without any elevation between the rows. It's also easy to confuse the place with the delphi really close to the station and notice after buying food and drinks that are not allowed to bring inside the Delphi-Filmpalast.

I went last Friday to watch Oppenheimer. It's literally a normal old Theater without anything special. It was clean and not smelly. Sits are good. Note that both seats and lines have numbers, and people check it, I would avoid sitting in someone else's seat. Don't trust who says the opposite. It is small so even if you are in line 22, like me, you have a good view, apart from people's heads (seats are just a little uphill). The volume was ok, from 1 to 10 I'd say 6. I'm giving 3 starts because it was expensive compared to other Kinos. I paid 34€ for 2 tickets. There are no popcorns, but you can manage to bring your own food and drinks. No one is there staring at you during the movie

One of the worst kinos in Berlin. The floor is leveled at almost the same height in the entire room so if you're in the back you better be a very tall person. I came here attracted by the 70mm (Oppenheimer) and had the bad luck to be in the back of the room so I had to endure 3 hours of film with the heads of half of the room in the middle of the screen! NEVER AGAIN

The cinema doesnt sell popcorn... And it doesnt even allow you to buy from the other Delphi and bring in popcorn. So if you enjoy popcorn while in the cinema, this one is not for you.

Seats are comfy, with a slight recline. Too many people for corona times even with 3G

Lovely cinema theatre that shows movies in the original version. The York group to which it belongs is great and has some character and feels more individual than other big chains.

This is a classic old movie theatre, which always offers great customer service, snd perfect shows. I am personally not a fan of German TV movies, they show these products way too often, makes visiting rare. Unfortunately other films are screened in dubbed audio, something I do not like. Also the tendency to play sound at exyremely low volumes is not not, how enjoying today's movies works. But that seems to be a reaction to the type of spectators that regularily buy tickets. If you go for the right show, you are rewarded with some of the best presentations you can get in Berlin, in a perfect movie house. And this is the only theatre in town, that can screen 70 mm film based movies, due to a still intact projection setup, with all requirements in sound and vision. And, they show film on a matted screen. The other venue in the Zoo area, that claim to be 70mm cspable, are actually not. Bad single projector system, and worst of all a digital reflective silver screen, that leads to hot spotted image with falsified bluish, darkened edges.

The sound system was poorly calibrated so it was super hard to understand the voices of the movie (TENET). The format of the drinks sold are not very compatible with the cup holders (minor detail, yet super uncomfortable during the movie) and no popcorn is sold with the reason given, not enough staff to clean the rooms after the movies. On the positive side there is the overall ambiance, which is great and also the friendliness of the staff.
