    very bad service!!! we are 7 people with kids. we ordered a Mercedes vito (big category) and we get a ww transporter. but in the parking was a Mercedes Vito,we go back and ask to replace the car because in the Vito more place to our luggage and more comfortable, the window is black (for the kids). and The guy at the counter didn't want to help us... he just say that the Mercedes can't go out!!! he didn't want to check in the other sixt place... so we take the ww unfortunately. shame on you sixt!!!

    Please never use Sixth. The service and client support is ridiculously bad. We ve chooses Sixth over more economic rental for device, which unfortunately disappeared from this company. We have rented car in Paris airport - there was a 2 hours wait on the counter to get a car which made us miss our appointment. The service was slow and no one apologized for the wait. - after month of rental we were charged additional 500 euros with no explanation - after a week of calls, emails and visits to the sixth they understood that they did a mistake. For all time spent following extra charge - no sorry and no discount to apologize for time wasted solving their mistake

    Super friendly and very competent employee who recommended exactly the right vehicle to us. Sixt simply has the best models available :) Fast and uncomplicated service. It took less than 15 minutes from arriving at the station to rolling out of the parking garage. Any time!!!

    Very long waiting time for collection (credit for that). The following defects emerged during the trip: - Broken antenna -> 900 km no radio - worn out windshield wipers -> poor visibility in the rain = unsafe to drive - Message: Key card battery almost empty -> will you still reach your destination? - increasing noise due to defective wheel bearings -> will the destination still be reached? - After about a third of the journey, the spoiler rubber lip hangs down -> Danger to traffic? These facts indicate that the preparation of the vehicle in Berlin was carried out negligently.

    Very good service, hassle-free, friendly and helpful staff. As (almost) always with every rental company, you will never get the car you ordered, but some vehicle "within the same category" (and usually a cheaper brand, e.g. an Opel instead of a VW, Seat instead of Volvo and such). For just two days, I don't care very much. Tank wasn't 100% full, which was obvious from the beginning. Previous driver most probably filled tank some 50 km before returning it, which could have been spotted. Car was clean, no previous damage, return in parking garage was smooth, no attempts at selling extra insurance etc.. We'll deal with Sixt again.

    Sixt is the company that we can recommend across Europe and that I really enjoy doing! Great team and people who work there And as a result, I no longer have my own car! And the cars, no matter what price group, are always very good! In 4 years I only had a slightly less good car once, but okay Service fits Car fits Great 👏👏👏🙏👏 More is not possible!     I recently had a very disappointing experience with Sixt. After renting a vehicle, I faced a flat tire for which I was charged an exorbitant amount of 413.30 euros. In addition, cleaning costs of 65 euros were added without any justification or proof of the necessity of these costs being provided to me. I am deeply disappointed by the lack of transparency from the company and the failure to provide documentation for these additional costs. The company's communication leaves a lot to be desired and this significantly affected my experience as a customer. I recommend that the company review its billing policy and improve communication with customers to avoid similar situations in the future.

    Hidden costs for the insurance that you find out about only just before the booking, terrbile mistakes in the invoice, extra fees for a driver being a different person than the payer, no telephone service.

    I am leaving a 1 star review because it is the lowest I can possibly give. I have rented from SIXT often in the past and have never had any issues. My last rental I was met with rude and condescending employees who treated me poorly. After leaving my opinion about this treatment in the satisfaction survey SIXT emails you, I recieved a call from one of the employees in question. Over the phone, the employee proceeded to invalidate my experience and tell me that I was mistaken and he was not rude. He asked what my issue was, and then proceeded to constantly interrupted me as I tried to explain and insinuated that leaving a dissatisfied report online was a cowardly thing to do. At this point, I ended the call. I have no idea what the point of that call was, but it was definitely the most rude and counter productive customer relations I have ever experienced.

    + Very friendly employees + Service oriented + No waiting-time + Wide selection of different cars (upgrade inclusive) + Great Location (in the middle of Berlin) + Return of the car 24/7 I am a regular customer and this is mainly because of the great employees in this station. I would always recommend Sixt and in particular the Sixt at Berlin Ku-Damm/Zoo.

    Caution is advised when considering Sixt for car rentals. Despite being a loyal customer for several years, recent experiences have been consistently challenging. The reserved car class is never available, and the alternatives are either significantly more expensive or impractical. Furthermore, I've encountered persistent issues with false damage claims from Sixt on almost every rental this year, despite providing comprehensive video and photo evidence. Advice to all make sure you double check before and after the rental thoroughly and take pictures!! The return employees (not directly from Sixt) will add re-add damages that already existed before without letting you know and will tell you “all good”. Do not rent from here if you can avoid it.

    I've been to Sixt several times - professionally and privately - but I think this will be my new favorite location in Berlin. Firstly because of the choice of vehicles and, most importantly, the great parking garage. It's not super narrow like the one at Alexanderplatz, but it's very, very relaxed to go up and down. Really suitable for the most novice driver. Excellent! Now about the car: I booked an M550i. Unfortunately this wasn't available, but I was kindly offered an X3M. However, this was very new and had not yet been run in, which is why I was only allowed to drive up to a maximum of 5000rpm and a maximum of 170kmh. I thought I could handle it, but it was just torture for me with this vehicle and I went back to Sixt on the evening of the first day of rental and asked if an exchange was possible. Luckily, purely by chance, an M550i came back unplanned and was offered to me in exchange: a dream 😍 Both cars were in perfect condition and are hellish machines (X3M Comp. with in-line six-cylinder and 510hp and M550i with V8 and 530hp). Many, many thanks again to the nice employees at the Sixt station for the exchange and these great vehicles! The only point of criticism: I parked the M550i in the parking garage at night and put the key in the parking garage's key box. I haven't received any information via email for 5 days that the vehicle has been taken back. This made me very nervous at the time, as I had otherwise known Sixt to do it differently, so I called Sixt and they were able to confirm that the vehicle had been taken back :)

    My recent experience with Sixt car rental has been nothing short of a nightmare. I admit to scratching a plastic cover, but the response from Sixt was nothing less than predatory. Instead of addressing the minor damage sensibly, Sixt decided to replace a tire, front windshield, and even went so far as to remove and replace an entire door. These unnecessary repairs, coupled with a ludicrous charge for recleaning the entire car with polishing, indicate a blatant attempt to exploit the situation. What's worse is the complete lack of responsiveness and accountability. Despite my clear denial of responsibility for these exorbitant charges, Sixt not only ignored my concerns but had the audacity to send the matter to collections without attempting a reasonable resolution. This type of unscrupulous behavior is unacceptable, and it reflects poorly on Sixt's integrity and customer service standards. Potential renters beware – Sixt's business practices are nothing short of a scam, and their dismissive attitude towards legitimate customer concerns is a disgrace. I strongly urge the company to reevaluate its billing practices and prioritize customer satisfaction, or risk losing customers who refuse to be victims of such dishonesty.

    I had very unpleasant experience with this rental service, starting from the point that sixt did not have a car that I booked and paid in advance. We got another downgraded car regardless the prepaid payment and it really affected our planned trip as we were lacking space. We supposed to get premium suv (Eg. Audi Q3) and got just Audi A4 instead. What is the point of booking and paying for the chosen car class/category in advance if they are not prepare to deliver the reservations, but still it was the smallest issue. I paid for deposit and insurance in agreed price in the office while signing the contract (the car was prepaid online) however an hour later they charged me accidentally another € 148,83 on top without any permission or explanation. A person who rented us a car called me and said that I have nothing to worry and it will be refunded in 24 hours - it’s been 3 weeks now and regardless multiple emails and calls to Customer Service no one is able to help us or even explain it, we are keep being sent away. The lady on the phone told us there is no information in the system about this charge and all people who could be in charge to help are somehow currently never available. I can see in the comments that sixt is referring customers to the email - I have sent an email on 1.07 and no one ver got back to me. That’s just a fraud and I’m really shocked that is happening in Germany, rented sixt cars many times in other countries and never had such a bad experience like with this office. I waited with this review and wanted to give them a chance to fix that as everyone can make mistakes but Sixt is not interested in fixing anything.

    Excellent staff on site, easy to find and the car park for the vehicle is close by and easy to get out of. Would recommend. Only downside was picking up the car with less than a 1/4 tank of fuel.in it, yet rental requires you to return it fully fuelled.

    It was my first car-rental and it was a pleasant experience! The staff handled all requests professionally and spoke very good English. Upon driving out from the parking hall the ramp did not open up with the card we got, and as we were in a hurry we just quickly paid a steep 40 EUR exit fee at the parking machine. However, after the rental this was reimbursed to us. I warmly recommend this service.

    Great service, great car. After a downgrade in Stuttgart, I was offered a generous upgrade in Berlin as an apology. So I had the rare pleasure of being able to drive an Audi A8L. All wishes were well catered for. I don't know what could be improved. Thanks! And gladly again!

    Arrived at 11:45, reservation was for 12:30. Had luggage and our 3 year old with us. Was told car would not be available for an hour BUT if we paid for super premium insurance (150 EUR additional cost to rental) we could have our car right away. Alternatively we could pay to upgrade to a large vehicle which was available. Solely attempts to upsell no customer service of "we'll see if we can have it ready a little faster but you'll still have to wait". Went and waited in a nearby cafe instead On return was told that wife (nominated driver) needed a card in her name for the deposit (had already pre-paid). Manager informed us that he could make an exception and use my card instead if I gave him ID - otherwise no car would be available and the booking forfeit. After giving him ID and completing the booking process I was then told that he'd added me as an extra driver and there was an 80 EUR charge. I simply paid and decided to exit the conversation before I got any more irritated. Was told car was on 4F of nearby garage. No explanation of damage to vehicle or usage - just "go and get it". Seems from the online report there's extensive scratches / dents. Picked up car which seemed in good condition. However only one charging cable - regular charging cable was missing. Contacted customer service via email they responded quickly and said I could pick up a cable at nearest SIXT office. Went in to the same location, was told that the cable wasnt available and they only supply the cable which BYD supply and they could maybe get one in 2 weeks. Re-emailed customer service as to what to do next. They never responded. When I returned the car the gentleman was accetable but brusque. There's 5 or 6 rental agencies in the same strip - I'd recommend you use one of them instead ** Update - when I contacted customer service (per their note to this review) they initially asked me why I was contacting them. After replying that this was their request based on my Google review they gave me a 55 EUR charge reduction (unsure as to how it was calculated - therefore upgraded the review to 2 stars **

    Rented cars here 3 times and was disappointed 3 times: 1. Reserved a Hybrid, but received a conventional Car 2. Got a car with an empty AdBlue tank, that I had to refil myself after 200km Autobahn driving, while the diesel tank was still half full. 3. Received a car with messed-up ventilation fan, causing a lot of noise in the Car while driving. An alternative car was not available, so my booking was cancelled and I took the train from Berlin to Munich instead. All above could be accaptable, if somehow compensated by Sixt as service provider. Unfortunately no compensation was offered.

    Gave me a vito with 2big dents in it. This was after standing in line for 30 minutes. When i came back from the parking lot with pictures, the person in the counter asked me to wait again in the line for nearly another 30 minutes. Rude and bad customer service

    Debiting €160 for lack of 25 liters of gasoline is too much... I can even agree that €25 or something like that should be charged, plus the debit for the fuel in question. In other words, instead of €42.50 + €25 = €67.50... €160 was debited!!! A theft!!! In other words, €110 of fee was charged???

    Worst experience with renting a car that I have ever had. Save yourself the aggravation and stress and book somewhere else. I recommend enterprise just right down the street. Again do not rent from this organization. Booked a car through Expedia. Showed up 1 hr and 30min late to pick up the car as I was running a tad late. They had canceled my reservation and then booked me in a smaller car for more money. Terrible costumer service!

    The car was great and new, a vw polo, but the employees not so helpful. They didn't expect us since our reservation got lost, we had to wait for another car. They even suggested to pay more for another car. Didn't happen. After we were done with the paperwork, they just showed us the way to the parking area where we couldn't find it and got lost between the floors...

    I felt like a trap had been set to me with this gas car. The employee told me wrong Info about it which made my journey uncomfortable. They gave me an upgrade with gas CNG car which he claimed it goes to 600 km with full tank and most of the stations has this type of gas, but was actually 400 km and most of the stations doesn't have this type of gas. Also when tried to use there call center to replace the car , suddenly no available car from Berlin, leipzig , Stuttgart and baden Baden. Crazy.

    Wanted to rent a car at the Budapesterstr. 45 branch of Sixt, eventually realized the car doesn't cover even half of the distance I'll need. Didn't even move the car from the parking lot, came right back to the offices, cancelled my reservation and was promised to receive a FULL 100% refund - by the long-haired boss of that branch. He even promised me that I'll receive an email on the spot with all the details and agreement of the cancellation. Never received the email. Even came back there to tell him I never received it - and he said, "oh don't worry, I'm still working on it...you'll get it any moment"...never got the email. Nor was I refunded the full amount. On the contrary - they promised that by the following week, around Monday or Tuesday I'll get the FULL refund...however instead I was charged 100€. Called customer service, they claimed they cannot resolve this so I should email another customer service (which is rubbish...it's always the same place). It's been a week...still no response by email and via phone they are not providing service at the moment. Just another cunning and crooked company making money in unjust ways. Don't use Sixt!!!

    Once again I have problems with SIXT. First: the car I've reserved was not available, neither any other car of the same category. They offered a big sedan that was different of the type of SUV I wanted. I had to cancel my reservation and do another of a simpler SUV. This is the second time, one in France, and now in Germany. Second: When I returned the car to a drop-off self-service station, SIXT registered my return 7h later and charged 1 rental day more.

    I booked here a car in advance to travel from Berlin to Paris, stuff was friendly and even i rent car for the first time to go to another country they make concession for me. I got BMW X3 and car was in great condition. I really enjoyed my travel on german autobahn. Also car have many useful features like speed signs shown in advance so i can drive according to the speed limits - very useful for a tourist driver, like me. I returned a car in Paris and it was a quick process. Would totally rent car from Sixt again.

    biggest scam ever. Also worst customer experience I’ve ever had. Got charged 3 times payment for just one car. Even after contacting the manager, the hotline and the woman at the counter. Nobody was able to help. Even after 3 days still no payment back. Never ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever again.

    Very bad service! We were supposed to rent a car with free miles, because the car was not available at the time they asked us if we want to upgrade it and we accepted that. We payed extra for the upgrading. They car was supposed to be free mile since we just upgraded and never changed other details. After we left the car they refused to pay us the deposit which was around 300 euro, saying that we drove more miles..! Very deceiving! They also wanted to charge us more for traffic violation that they can not proof! Very very bad service! I would never recommend then! 0 out of 100! No more sixt…

    Unfortunatelly we lost valuable time from our trip because the employee who handled our reservation was very unwilling (also unfriendly) to help us. The driver license was slightly broken at its corner, a minor damage that is acceptable by the police and other car rental companies (speaking from experience) but to him was not, so we had to delay almost two hours in order to go back and forth finding another driver. Totally unprofessional. Furthermore the reservation we did (by phone, with another employee) was for an automatic car, which was not the case when we arrived there. We also did not received any clarifications about the insurance packages until the time we asked for ourselves. Overall we felt like the employee (also manager in his case) was not trying to provide us with a good and safe service. It was a very unpleasant experience.

    One of the worst experiences in renting a car. The employee who served us by the name of E. Dogrugueven, while we had initially negotiated by phone for an automatic car with full insurance, tried to give us another car with the smallest coverage without informing us of the change. In the end We chose another car and demanded full insurance. They also didn't accept our basic driver's license because of a small damage on the lower left side which is accepted by everyone, even by the police but also by the same company in another city. I do not recommend this company in Berlin. P.S. The employee was rude and had no intention of serving us.

    I regret my decision to rent with Sixt. We had mechanical issues with our vehicle a few hours before the end of our 1-day rental period. We called the office, who were unsympathetic and told us to call the emergency hotline. We dialled the emergency hotline, they hung up on us. After 45 mins we finally get to speak with someone, they send a technician who takes more than 1 hour to arrive (in the middle of Berlin). He fixes the vehicle and we return it just after our 24hr rental period has expired. When we handed over the keys, the staff member did not apologise for our inconvenience. He said nothing, so we left. A few days later he charged my credit card for a full extra day of rental.

    Great customer service. The larger the vehicle category, the more demanding I become. They took a lot of time, listened and talked through all the options as to how I could ultimately get my dream car. Abo+ is great and the team at Ku'damm is awesome. Thank you and keep it up 👍

    Great customer service with superb problem-solving skills! I reserved a car online, but unfortunately at the station none of my class was available due to an error in the online reservation system. The team did everything they could to give me a car of a much higher class at a price that was acceptable for me. Thanks for the efforts!

    Fast and uncomplicated vehicle handover in the middle of the night. The vehicle was in top condition. Returning it to another city was just as quick and uncomplicated. I am very satisfied and would like to come back.

    Despite the tense fleet situation, every effort was made to comply with requests. I felt pleasantly treated by the friendly staff behind the counter. The experience with the return service provider in the parking garage is and remains negative. The people there seem unfriendly, often make you wait for a long time even though there's nothing going on, and check in the kilometers incorrectly, so that annoying invoice corrections have to be made afterwards.

    Arrogant and "anti-Gemütlich" executive. With a premium brand like sixt, I'd expect at least basic courtesy if talking to customers. Instead of talking reasonably, the executive was lecturing me on how free market works and walked away with "I won't discuss any further". The reason I went to them was that I have two licences, one for 2years,2months and one for 13years+, but I was just told "won't work" and telling me how free market works and "sixt sets the rules, take it or leave it". Even if you can't make an offer, I would expect basic sales behaviours. I'd even take a "usually doesn't work, but I can try". But "doesn't work" and "take a more expensive car, that's fine, but not the one of your choice".
