My friends and i got ourselves a wagyu plate each with a bottle of wine to go with the food. This is the richest meat i’ve ever had, and it tastes phenomenal. You can cook the meat yourself thanks to the in-built grill on the table. The wine was great and complimented the beef perfectly. The waitress was very polite, and the place had a really high-end feel to it. Would highly recommend!

What an experience! The location and restaurant decor were great. We were seated earlier than when we booked. The waiter gave us a very detailed explanation of the menu and guided us along the whole setting. We ordered the Japanese wagyu and more waguys. They were all super good! We also enjoyed some nice sake tasting, and a few sides. We ordered one bowl of rice that we didn't end up finishing. Other than that we went on grilling. Overall it was such a great experience and worth it!

Anlässlich eines Geburtstags besuchte ich mit zwei Freunden das Ushido und entschied mich für das Menü für drei Personen. Es war eine Erfahrung, die durch außergewöhnliche Geschmacksnoten, hervorragenden Service und eine Atmosphäre, die zum Verweilen einlädt, geprägt war. Jedes Element des Menüs war durchdacht zusammengestellt, wodurch wir eine breite Palette an Aromen genießen konnten. Vom zart schmelzenden Wagyu, das jede Erwartung übertraf, bis hin zu den frischen, knackigen Gemüsebeilagen, wurde jedes Detail sorgfältig berücksichtigt. Das Wagyu war zweifellos der Höhepunkt des Abends, dessen Qualität und Geschmack unvergleichlich waren. Das Menü wurde ergänzt durch eine Auswahl an Sakes, die perfekt auf die Speisen abgestimmt waren, und durch das Wissen des Sake-Sommeliers bereichert wurde. Nicht nur die Speisen selbst, sondern auch die Möglichkeit, diese am eigenen Tisch zu grillen, fügte der Mahlzeit eine persönliche Note hinzu. Diese Interaktion machte das Esserlebnis nicht nur unterhaltsam, sondern auch unvergesslich. Der Service im Ushido war von Anfang bis Ende makellos. Das Personal war aufmerksam, ohne aufdringlich zu sein, und trug wesentlich zu einem gelungenen Abend bei. Sie waren stets zur Stelle, um Empfehlungen auszusprechen und sicherzustellen, dass unser Erlebnis perfekt war. Das Ushido – Japanese BBQ bietet mehr als nur eine Mahlzeit; es bietet ein Erlebnis, das alle Sinne anspricht. Die Kombination aus exzellentem Essen, außergewöhnlichem Service und einer einladenden Atmosphäre macht es zu einem Muss für jeden, der die japanische Küche in Berlin erleben möchte. Unser Besuch war ein unvergesslicher, der die Messlatte für kulinarische Erlebnisse hoch setzt. Ushido ist ein Juwel in Berlins Gastronomieszene, das einen Besuch wert ist, egal ob für besondere Anlässe oder einfach, um sich selbst zu verwöhnen.

Very nice meat cuts of black angus, Australian wagyu and Japanese wagyu. Prices are premium. I would recommend to order around 200-250g per person. Eat the best cut first (wagyu) and if still hungry, order black angus and rice. Nice side dishes as well. Your clothes would be smelly after the grill, keep this in mind).

They speak fluent English and German. If you're not sure what to do or what to get, they will walk you through each step. The atmosphere, food, and presentation are great.

Very cool (but expensive) experience to fry meat on your own. Waiters are English-speaking. Matcha ice cream is very tasty as well.

Amazing meat, specifically their wagyu is incredible. You get to cook your own meat just how you like it (they do teach you the recommended duration if you order the premium cuts). Service was great and friendly, and no problem for English speakers. Some meals are limited to a small amount of servings per day, so you should consider coming early. Also some meals need to be pre-ordered. This is a taste experience, so don't expect huge meals All around very recommended.

We had a fantastic meal to celebrate a birthday. Their wagyu is A5 certified and it's worth every penny. We had some Black Angus cuts too and although they were not as sublime as the wagyu ones, they were super tasty too. The karaage deserves a special mention too. One could say it is just fried chicken but in Ushido they bring it to perfection, we could taste the ginger and soy sauce marinade which made a simple but delicious side dish. Finally, the staff was super helpful and even if we don't speak very good German they gave us recommendations and suggestions in English. English menus are available too. To wrap it up, I'd just say that if I could rate this 6 stars I would. Great service, nice atmosphere, brilliant staff and sublime food 👌

Maybe it’s just me but I couldn’t find the wagyu grading and its specific origin indicated anywhere so I wasn’t sure how good the price and performance would be. I went with the safe choice - sneak peek menu - so I could try a little bit of everything. Overall meat quality was okay. Some were great, some were okay. Side dishes are limited. Kimchi was waaaay too sweet. I would love some spiciness and sourness to cut the beefiness of the meat. I also got their ‘really spicy dip’ and it was not spicy. It tasted like gochujang mixed with soy sauce. Better save that 2 euros. What I would recommend is to order matcha ice cream with taiyaki. They turned on the grill again just for me to ‘grill’ the taiyaki. Though it’s gimmicky, the warm and slightly crispy pastry paired perfectly with cold matcha ice cream. All in all, if you haven’t tried yakiniku, Ushido is a good place to start but if you’re a meat connoisseur, you might be let down.

Went last week with a group of 6 for dinner and to celebrate a birthday. We had a wide variety of beef cuts which were all excellent, also the side are amazing especially the cabbage. The let down of the evening was that the service was slow at best and not attentive at all. As we were celebrating we brought a birthday cake that we wanted to eat for dessert, which was a huge problem for the waiters. Tons of weird behaviour like you didn’t notify us in advance, we also have cake (which isn’t true for every day of the week) and then we got charged 4€ per person to eat our own cake. Just ridiculous! In Total our group spent 780€ including our own cake. Service zero and customer experience also zero - you lost out on a tip and a repeating customer. Really a pity

All in all the perfect Japanese dining experience. The staff is incredibly friendly and you are definitely being treated like a king/queen. The ordering system is very easy and convenient and the food is just out of this world. And it comes with a price. But absolutely justified.

We went to Ushido to try the premium menu. It was a several courses meal with different type of beef cuts and from different area of origins. The food was really good. Service was also nice although sometimes the waiter coming back and forth to check and explain each and every piece of meat we're eating can be quite excessive. Overall good experience. For 2 people, we spent around 200 eur including drinks and sides.

Very unique experience and very friendly staff. When I arrived, I discovered that I had accidentally booked the wrong date or that the system didn't update my rescheduled reservation. Whatever it was, they were kind enough to schedule us in for that night despite the place being a hopping joint. The food was superb; an easy 10/5 for me. Each piece of meat was tender and had such a distinct taste.. it was wonderful. The price was very fair for that experience and quantity. The sauce they offered was also bombastic. Highly recommend!

it was my second time to visit Ushido, the food is as usual amazing and tasty, a bit pricey but the quality was certainly worthy to go! Service was the issue. At the second time was the service not quite good. The waitress explained things very fast, as if it didn't matter to her if all the customers actually understand or not. Also, very often was our conversations were interrupted by the waitress, moreover, as we just finished all the party menu and still talking about how amazing the food was, she came up again and wanted to clean the huge table, instead of politely asking, she simply "pointed" out the glasses which were a bit far from her and used impolite gestures to require her customers o move glasses for her. This is not something I would expect from a pricey place. Last, instead of asking if she is allowed to clean the table, an hour before the closing time, she cleaned the whole table without asking, was being very pushy as if we had to pay and leave immediately. Quite an unpleasant service was at the second time. But the food is absolutely amazing!!

Food was absolutely fantastic! Especially the prawn, favourite dish for the night. The services were also a great, most staffs were really polite and friendly, they explain and served well. but a few other staff I wish they can be a little bit more nicer. Overall, what you paid is what you get, food, service and ambient are great!

What an amazing place for a good lover. High quality meat par deluxe. Nothing for vegetarians.

Visited in July 2023. Discovered this place back in 2018 when I was living in Berlin and loved it. I always try to have dinner there whenever I am back in town.

It was a very nice experience. Perhaps the best teppanyaki bbq restaurant in Berlin. You cook it yourself. We selected set menu Sneak. I recommend the Wagyu! The sake I drank was also very good. I didn't like the mochi very much, but the sesame ice cream was delicious. Thanks friendly team!

The dinner here was an experience! The staff was friendly and explained us the restaurant concept. We had the variety plate and was a great way to try out the different types of meat available on the menu. Having the grill at the table was very entertaining. It’s a more upscale dinner option, but I’d recommend trying it!

A must for meat lovers. Pricey but spectacular since you’re getting top quality meat. Service is top notch and it’s great how they explain to you every cut. Being a meat restaurant, I would’ve expected a better wine list. Bar is quite small and the place does lack a bit of atmosphere but the food makes up for it.

Absolutely delicious! Extremely high quality Wagyu beef from Japan and Australia. The atmosphere is super nice as well, a must if you are a meet lover.

Vielen wird wahrscheinlich die Menüpreise ins Auge stechen. Aber es lohnt sich definitiv. Die Bedienung erklärt einen ausführlich und auch Rücksicht nehmend bei zuvor angezeigten Allergien (Knoblauch, Zwiebeln ggf. in Marinade enthalten), wie der Grill funktioniert und welche Fleischsorten/ -partien genau wie lang ungefähr auf dem Grill verweilen sollten. Das Fleisch selbst ist gefühlt im Munde wie ein Stück Butter zerflossen. Und von der Textur her so zart gewesen. Das ganze mit köstlichen schluck Sake rundet m.E. das ganze ab. Wir werden auf jedenfall wieder kommen.

Waren schon mehrfach hier. Ist immer wieder ein Erlebnis. Wer noch nie da war sollte ein Menü wählen. Reservierung ist quasi Pflicht, da es eigentlich immer voll belegt ist. Wir hatten diesmal das Chefs Choice Menü das fast nur aus Wagyu Fleisch besteht. Ein unglaublicher Gaumenschmaus. Der Service ist ebenfalls ausgezeichnet. Jeder Gang wird erklärt und auch Sake und Tee etc. wird einem erklärt bei Bedarf. Hinweis: Das Restaurant ist etwas das man sich "gönnt" und nicht für den schmalen Geldbeutel.

Einfach sehr gutes qualitatives Essen. Das Fleisch zergeht auf der Zunge. Das Personal ist freundlich. Die Toiletten sind sauber. Einen Tisch sollte man rechtzeitig vorher reservieren. Immer wieder gern.

Loved the interior of the restaurant. I went with my family included my 2 year old kid and they even offered him its own plate and little cute cup to drink water. Also offered a little chair for its comfort. Ultra attentive and nice service, 100%. The food and experience was extremely good. We will definitely repeat again and recommend this place. Amazing place! Food and especially meat - top quality. Highly recommend to take set and try and compare different cuts and meat tastes. Purple cocktail (don’t remember name) is very delicious! And special thanks to staff - extremely friendly people, sharing and patiently teaching all details how to cook perfect bbq, and when you are leaving, they’re warmly thanking and waving at the door like you are a good friend. Amazing experience. We tasted different breeds and cuts of real Wagyu beef, all delicious and with a clear identity. Side dishes and vegetables were super. Have a preference for oyster cut Wagyu beef marinated in soy sauce, a new classic. Again the sides in fusion style were great, but I cannot forget the potatoes salad, very needed. Nice 50° Riesling to pair. Staff super friendly and even went as far as recommending to pay though an app to get a discount. Will come back.

Yakinitu dinner experience was beyond amazing. I highly recommend trying Wagyu beef, although Black Angus was great too. We didn't go for a set menu, but followed staff advice on her favourite cuts and got rewarded. Efficiency was amazing too: our drinks arrived seconds after we finished ordering. All of this comes with the price: dinner for two will cost 100-200 euros, but IMO it is worth it. To get in, make sure to book table in advance.

it was a fun experience to go with friends. the meat has a high value, but it is worth every Euro spent. great restaurant, the waitress helped us in english and explained the full menu without leaving any doubts.

Very friendly staff and nice interior. Had our first experience with wagyu which was amazing. The staff is really friendly and will explain the menu very nicely. Sake tasting was really cool and you can cook the food to your own liking.

Japanese wagyu was just perfect. The other meats were incredible tender and the dipping sauces were on point as well. We tried the non-alcoholic drinks and I loved it as well. And last, but for sure not least, the service was perfect. From instructions on how to use the grill to the moment they said good bye! It's pricy, but it's 100% worth!

Absolutely Devine. The food is excellent and the experience as well. There are no smoke smell because the grill is gas and doesn’t emit that dreadful smoke smell. The staff is super helpful if this is your first time and are a delight. It’s a bit on the expensive side but it’s worth it. Would recommend.
