I came in asking for vaccination against HPV,... People often mention doctor, Hammer, vaccination, experience, time, friendly, care,

I have to write a negative review based on the following experience: This place is great for English-speakers who want to get vaccinated, (or perhaps Caucasian patients) but the nurse who injected vaccination for me today made some offensive comments. I came in asking for vaccination against HPV, the nurse from looked at me and said "I don't know why so many Asians come for HPV vaccination, don't you have that in your country?" I was shocked upon hearing this question. The fact is, I grew up in Netherlands and i am an European citizen. Regardless of my citizenship, this comment made by her was extremely rude and unacceptable.

This place can be a little hard to find on the campus but it is worth it if you need a vaccination without making appointments. Waiting time can be quite variable -- in our case, we were lucky and got everything (consultation and vaccination) in 30 minutes. It was a self service system: you don't need to talk to the receptionist, just take a consultation ticket from the machine and then take a clip board to fill in the form with your travel details and any previous vaccinations you have had. If you have a yellow vaccination book (or any related documents) you should bring it with you. Then wait for your number to be called. Our doctor was very friendly and also spoke English (if not completely fluent, at least far more fluent than my German). Then we had three injections, then we paid (with EC card). Keep all the receipts if you want to be reimbursed by your health insurance, for us TK paid everything. If you have a complicated vaccination it might take longer or might not be in stock, so do come early to ask.

The friendliest doctor I ever had the pleasure to visit in Berlin. The service staff is as anywhere else around the city. We came here at 8am and waited approximately 15 minutes for our consultation and vaccines. You need to pay afterwards in cash or with EC card, they don't take credit cards. The money is then reimbursed by most German insurances.

The best experience with doctors in Germany I've had yet. The doctor was friendly, asked questions and actually listened to my responses, gave me clear advice on my trip, and gave me the several shots I needed. In and out of the building in under 20 minutes (I got there at about 11 am).

Needed a rabies vaccine and they saw me right away without an appointment. The doctor was incredible! She wrote a letter for my insurance and for future doctor appointments in other countries to make sure I’ll receive the correct vaccine elsewhere as well. Thank you so much for your help today! Am very grateful.

**A Remarkable Healing Experience with Dr. med. Janina Hammer at Institute of Tropical Medicine and International Health, Berlin** I recently had the privilege of being under the care of Dr. med. Janina Hammer at the Institute of Tropical Medicine and International Health in Berlin, and I cannot express my gratitude enough for the exceptional level of care I received. My journey began with a diagnosis of CHIKV after a recent trip to an Asian country. My general practitioner wisely referred me to the expertise of Dr. Hammer at the Tropical Medicine Institute. From the moment I met her, it was evident that Dr. Hammer is not just a doctor but a true master of her craft. What sets Dr. Hammer apart is her unwavering commitment to leaving nothing to assumption. She meticulously went through all my blood reports, explaining each detail with remarkable clarity. Her depth of knowledge was evident as she crafted a personalized treatment plan for me, making sure I understood every aspect of my recovery journey. One aspect that truly impressed me was her patience in addressing all my questions, no matter how naive they may have seemed. Dr. Hammer took the time to ensure I felt informed and involved in my own healing process, fostering a sense of trust and collaboration that is rare to find. Furthermore, she went above and beyond by sharing the references and research she was basing my treatment on. This transparent approach not only instilled confidence in the treatment plan but also showcased her dedication to staying abreast of the latest advancements in tropical medicine. Dr. Hammer's demeanor was equally impressive. Her politeness and friendliness created a comforting atmosphere that made my medical journey one of the best experiences of my life. In a situation that could have been daunting, her warmth and approachability made a significant difference. In conclusion, I wholeheartedly recommend Dr. med. Janina Hammer and the Institute of Tropical Medicine and International Health. The level of expertise, personalized care, and genuine compassion I experienced are unparalleled. If you're seeking medical care with a doctor who goes above and beyond, Dr. Hammer is the epitome of excellence in her field. The Institute of Tropical Medicine is a reliable place that I highly recommend to anyone in need of top-notch medical attention. Thank you, Dr. Hammer, for your exceptional care and for making a challenging time in my life one filled with positivity and healing.

Great experience. Got there at 18:00 on a Friday and expected to wait a long time or be rejected. But in 15min, I had seen a very nice doctor, the nurse did the 2 vaccines, and I paid. Super efficient and lovely people (all could speak english).

I went in for a Tetanus shot after getting a cut on my hand.. without appointment..my experience was great.the doctor saw me immediately, spoke in English and I was out in 5 minutes. You have to pay by card. I paid directly to the doctor. Highly recommended..! And you don't need a referral from your Hausarzt..I went in directly to this place.

I wasnt sure on how to take the malaria medication I got from them (and couldn't find anything on google) and they wouldn't answer me a single, simple yes-or-no question over the phone. I told the lady that I would have to drive 1 hour by public transport during the peak times of a pandemic, but she didn't care at all. Super rude, risking someone's life because "you have to see a card before providing information"

I went there in 2020 to get vaccinated before a trip to Africa. The staff it’s really nice. The doctor explained everything in details and took her time to do it. Go early since the waiting line started from before the place get opened. It’s a bit difficult to find the place since charite is super big
