Absolutely loved the museum, though the name is a bit stigmatising. A lot of the foods are just regional specialties. But they also have a lot of education on awful animal treatment practices. Definitely get the audio guide, it's well worth it! There are so many items to see, some to smell, and even some to taste at the end.

A weird and whacky museum which is a fun place to visit when exploring Berlin. There is a large selection of incredibly disturbing and gross food from around the world with horrifying images. If you are brave there are sniff test areas which will really make you question some decisions. The ticket is an actual sick bag in case you cannot stomach it.

A museum and experience of a special kind. It is very interesting to see what can be consumed in other countries and which you yourself find disgusting or repulsive. All exhibits are described in German and English. You also have the opportunity to take a smell sample from some of the exhibits and finally taste something in the tasting bar (included in the entry price šŸ‘). The friendly staff explained everything well and took the time to answer questions. The museum is relatively small, but I still really liked it. Now I have to digest the experience first.

Yes! The ticket costs 16 euros, but I highly recommend this museum. Inside, there are some real fresh foods, not models! They are not easy to come by in Europe, which is why their cost is high. Although it's not big, I spent an hour absorbing knowledge. The staff is friendly and they provide headphones for visitors to use (the tour is done using your own phone, available in multiple languages). Afterward, you can try some food at the bar counter, such as fried insects, durian fruit, kale juice, and goat cheese. It's a completely new challenge! I recommend it.

How badly I wanted to visit this Museum. It was so sad that they were not open on Christmas Day. I stopped by it though. And I saw photos online. I think itā€™s worth it.

If youā€™re looking for a more interactive and informative museum visit, this is not to be missed . Fascinating insight into diet of other cultures. Think I might go back to being a vegetarian now though - especially after the food tasting at the end. Helpful & friendly staff.

It was without a doubt the best museum I have seen in my life. So informative, yet funny. I read every word in all descriptions. You get a paper bag with your ticket in case you feel like vomiting. You can also try some insects at the end of the tour. Conclusion: people are cruel, poor animals! I definitely recommend over any museums with paintings and stuff. Ticket 16ā‚¬. Worth it!

Admittedly, I was skeptical at first, but I will never forget the impressions I got from the museum. A visit will be worth it in any case. The entrance fee seems quite high, but the visits are very well organized so that there are never too many visitors at the same time. There will also be a special kind of buffet following the exhibition. Here you can check how brave you are. One more suggestion: Is it possible to also open on Wednesdays and Thursdays? That would be e.g. B. helpful for school classes who are in Berlin from Mon-Fri. See you next time!

We came across the museum through a YouTube video and wanted to see it with our own eyes. Booked tickets in advance. Two people 32 euros, which in my opinion is too much for the size of the museum and the exhibition. Museum very small, but exhibition still interesting. Not suitable for people with weak stomachs. However, you get a barf bag as an entry ticket. You should also be prepared for videos of tortured animals being shown there. At the end of the tour, there is a tasting where you can taste insects, fruits, cheese, etc. I recommend the grasshopper. Conclusion: Definitely worth seeing and interesting, but the price is a bit too high.

Disgusting, fascinating and educational. The place is great though not too big. Getting to taste the bugs at the end is a bonus....and the tshirts they sell are a great fit.

Interesting museum that has been put together thoughtfully. 4 starts due to the person at the tasting bar. He offered several products to try, I declined the animal products since Iā€™m vegan. He then started arguing that plants feel pain and are conscious beings too and Iā€™m a hypocrite for being vegan. (Plants feeling pain has been disproven in hundreds of studies) Other than that: enjoyable.

Very interesting and the place is clean and well organised, however the price in my opinion doesnā€™t make any sense. The museum is very very small yet more expensive than the Neuen Museum for example, that has four floors and priceless pieces are exhibited here.

That was an impressing exhibition. We all have seen on Tick Tock how people try hakarl or durian, and now there is an opportunity to experience it by ourselves. The main idea of the exposition, as far as I can see, is to show that every culture has it's own strange traditions and it is ok sometimes. When I saw my favorite caviar considered disgusting, I understood the importance to respect another peoples traditions. I'm glad we visited the Disgusting food museum.

Awesome experience, really nice staff dedicated to explain and make us discover numerous things. It's both funny and interesting, and a dƩfinitive must see. Tasting some of the food displayed in the museum is really cool. Feel free to speak to the staff, they are really willing to share.

Well, I heard that there was a bar where you could eat insects, unfortunately it was closed due to corona, but then how could we take it with us and eat it at home. I only felt sick in the cheese department, but otherwise I got through everything well. Update. The bar is open and you can wash down the delicious morsels with various disgusting liquids. Yum! This time I didn't puke either.

Unusual idea for a museum. The tickets were spit bags... But it was very interesting and we would have liked to try other things at the bar. A lot of it is a question of perspective and personal influence. But some things are and remain completely incomprehensible. Small museum, relatively expensive entrance fee, but definitely worth the experience. Whoever wrote the lyrics clearly had fun doing it. ;)

This was the most fun museum I visited while in Berlin. It's interactive and fun, and you get a very memorable experience. Other things to mention is that the service is good, clean bathrooms and it's good for all ages.

This is a great place to invest your money! It may seem a bit empty at the beginning, but you learn a lot from all the information about all the dishes. There are also smell tests and you can also take taste tests at the end! The staff was super friendly too! What you have to be careful about is that you can only pay by card.

It was with great curiosity that we passed through the door of this small museum. It is a large room where you discover improbable foods throughout the journey but also foods which for me, being French, are not at all disgusting! Itā€™s a place where mothers take their children because itā€™s fun: you smell and taste certain things. As an adult, he asks questions about animal welfare, food and other topics. We feel that the creators took care in the design of the museum. We had a pleasant time.

Interesting novelty museum that touches on the topic of disgust as a human emotion, and how it differs across different cultures in the form of food. Admission tickets are given in the form of barf bags, which is a little gimmicky but cute! Given that the space is quite small (if you read and take photos of every single display, youā€™d probably spend a maximum of 1.5-2h there in total), the ticket price of ā‚¬16 is a little on the higher side - but definitely worth it if the overall theme interests you, and itā€™s your first time visiting. There are some small interactive elements scattered throughout the exhibits, like smelling stations of some of the worldā€™s smelliest cheeses. The highlight is probably the tasting bar at the very end, you can try up to 6 types of roasted critters if you dare (according to a brave friend, some are surprisingly delicious)! All the staff are very nice and friendly as well, itā€™s an open and judgment free zone.

It was a little overpriced but I enjoyed the exhibits and the sampling. I like that they show foods from all over the world. I think for the price the audio tour should be included. If you want an unusual museum then this is the place for you! Be sure to try the samples. Some were surprisingly good. And you get to gross your friends out when you show what you ate!!

Fazit: Ein Muss fĆ¼r jeden MuseumsLiebhaber.

(Translated by Google) It was exciting, very interesting and some things just gave goose bumps on closer inspection. The curiosity was greater than the disgust. There were many things that made me think and made me feel sad. It is definitely worth a visit and highly recommended for those who like it a little more daring. Great team, interesting information and all-round consistent. Thank you for visiting the museum in a different way.šŸ‘ ... Sehr nette Betreuung, sehr freundliches Personal.

My friend and I booked a ticket to this museum on a whim while she was visiting, and we had so much fun! It's one large room with various exhibits - at first glance we figured it would be quick, but we didn't expect it to be so thorough and interesting. We had a great time learning about different cultures' food practices, and I'm glad the museum didn't shy away from making it clear which were fine and which were problematic/inhumane. We loved the little tasting bar at the end and all of the snacks/little critters were pretty good (even though it took me longer than my friend to work up to eating the beetle thing). The employees were also really friendly! I'm thinking of going again with different friends to see their reactions :)

Very nice experience. I donā€™t think the food inside is the MOST disgusting, it was funny tho. There were videos showing the food and you could also try to smell some of it. I had fun trying the food at the end of the museum.

I rarely write reviews, but this was such an original and unique place, i had to give them 5 stars. It takes you on a trip around the world and the most unique and bizarre foods people could have come up with. The option to smell some, and in the end to taste some really adds to the experience. Highly recommended.

Great museum - very informative and interactive. At the entrance one is given a paper bag in case one feels sick. At the end you can also try some worms or bugs :) Personnel was very friendly and fun

What a great and interesting little museum, we found it entirely by accident and happily so! Wasn't brave enough to try out any of the bugs at the tasting counter and some of the smells from the jars will haunt my nostrils evermore šŸ˜… but it was well worthwhile the visit, highly recommend for brave and adventurous types!

I discovered the museum via Tiktok and was there with my girlfriend at the weekend. Definitely one of our dating highlights. If you take the time to read through everything, the many cultural backgrounds are extremely interesting and it goes far beyond the pure sensational level. We also had a funny conversation at the snack bar with an employee who was able to explain some exciting background information to us. If you have a weak stomach, you might want to approach the museum with caution, but I can only recommend it for everyone else!
