Lovely views here even if you don't actually go up the zillions of steps to the top of the lighthouse. If you do go up, take the bare minimum with you. Carrying snorkel gear up all the stairs was not the best idea! Hold the railing up and down. When we got to the top, we didn't want to go out on the very narrow platform. I'll share the view from the door for those who can't or don't want to go up. If you go out, enjoy the 360° views. But maybe tuck your hat somewhere safe first because it's breezy up there! As others have said, there's a nice little gift shop here where you also pay $2.50 entrance fee (if you want to visit the lighthouse itself).

Fantastic view of the entire island. The entrance fee is only $2.50/person. Lots of steps, but worth the work for the view. Very close to the bus stop (#7 route)

One of our tourist stops in Bermuda. Loved the light house and the little gift shop. I loved the paintings there of the pastel houses.

Very small but cute place. Light house with a little gift shop. Reasonable prices. The bathroom was available. Only a few $US to enter and walk up the light house. Nice views, even if you don't go up.

Gibbs Lighthouse –was built in 1846 out of cast iron and it was the second one in the world created. You can go inside the gift shop, buy a ticket, climb up 185 steps and enjoy one hell of a view. There’s even a door that opens so you can walk around the lighthouse outside. Cost: $2.50 per person, children under 5 are free

We took the bus and the driver dropped us off at the closest stop. It was a short 10-minute walk to go to the base of the lighthouse. The scenic view at the base was already worth the visit. The steps up to the top were not difficult. Take advantage of each landing spot and read a little history on your way up. The panoramic view at the top is incredible. We all can post pictures for you to see. But you really have to visit the lighthouse and experience it yourself. And at $2.50, this attraction is an absolute bargain.

This lighthouse is a rare cast iron one. The views are amazing. There is a lot of information about the lighthouse and construction of it. You can even go to the very top and do a 360 walk around on good weather days. The lighthouse keeper is very friendly and knowledgeable. The souvenir store has very reasonable prices and a great selection to choose from.

Great vantage point of the entire island. Great photo op spot if you're looking for views. There is a $2.50 entrance fee and is generally bustling, busy enough but not annoyingly so. Worth a look!

Went close to 4 PM on a clear day in the off season. 185 steps to the top with multiple levels where the history of the lighthouse is discussed. Amazing views at the top but beware the winds can be strong. Felt like my phone was going to fly out of my hands. The gift shop is right next door and its run by the lighthouse keeper themselves

Awesome place to see! Only a couple dollars to go up top and see all of Bermuda from this breathtaking view! Super cool to go up top and see everything. There are quite a bit of stairs but totally worth it!

I had a great time. Climbed the steps and it was not bad at all. There were 8 flights but fear not there are resting landings in between. The view from on top was breathtaking. It was worth the visit

What a great stop! Only 1 of 2 cast iron lighthouses in the world. Admission is only $2.50 (as ove 10/2022). Climb 186 feet to a spectacilar view of this lighthouse built in 1846. There is a small gift shop and a restaurant.

This was one of our stop on our 5 hr mini bus tour of Bermuda island. It was a shame that our tour guide only stopped here for 10mins hence couldn’t climb the light house. The entrance is only $2.50. I think its must to climb it if you want 360 view photos if the island. There are toilets on this site which is a bonus if you need one.

Such a great area for your first time to Bermuda. It really shows you how pretty it is, and there is a little gift shop to remember your time here. This was one of my favorite areas to visit since it was pretty quiet.

  • 5/5 James C. 1 year ago on Google
Best view of the southwestern part of the island, without question. There are a lot of stairs, but with breaks to read about the history of the lighthouse on the way up, you can take your time. There's not much here except the lighthouse and gift shop, so once you've visited those you'll want to plan to keep moving on. I've been going to Bermuda for three decades, and almost always make a stop here -- I've never regretted it.

Well worth the visit whether on foot from a nearby bus stop or by taxi . It has the most stunning views of the Great sound and of south shore Some steep steps up to the view points and toilets . Places to sit for photos . Gift shop and you can walk up to the top of the lighthouse if you feel like it . Only $2:50 per person . Probably a 30 - 40 mins stop.

Be sure to visit this landmark, take in the panoramic island views and get a little more of Bermuda's history. It's inexpensive. The stairs are broken up with frequent landings and windows. The lamp in the lighthouse and views at the top are very cool, and so is the breeze. It's also a short walk to Henry XIII restaurant, which overlooks the coastline and where I hear the Bermuda Chowder is excellent.

  • 5/5 Maurice M. 11 months ago on Google
This is a great lighthouse with spectacular views of the island. You can pay a small fee to walk to the top, 180+ stairs. You are even allowed to walk out onto the small observation deck atop the lighthouse that encircles it.

The perfume oils are some of the best quality oils worldwide. I receive so many compliments when I wear them. I have been buying these since 2012 and am still very happy.

Today, my vacation adventure took me to Gibb's Hill Lighthouse. Climbing the winding staircase, I couldn't contain my excitement as I caught glimpses of the breathtaking panoramic views through the peak hole square windows.  The sights that awaited me at the top were nothing short of spectacular.  The lighthouse stands tall, offering commanding views of turquoise waters that sparkle in the sunlight.  The views also showcased the picturesque white-roofed houses dotting the landscape, adding a touch of charm to the scene. Gibb's Hill Lighthouse is more than just a vantage point—it's a beacon of history.  Opening its doors in 1846, it witnessed the passage of time and the evolution of Bermuda. This experience was undoubtedly one for the books, immersing myself in the magnificence of Bermuda.  When you visit, @Bermuda, this is a must-see attraction. The cost is only $2.50 for 185 steps for gorgeous views.

After a brisk 5-7min walk uphill, we've arrived at the base of the lighthouse. It's 185 steps and 6 landings in total! With a fantastic 360 degree vantage point of Bermuda. Btw, per person ticket costs $2.50.

A little light house. If you drive by, you might as well stop to take a photo of it. You have amazing views on the otherside of the road!

  • 5/5 Joe Shonah H. 4 years ago on Google
185 steps with a great view! The staircase is wide with plenty of larger areas to rest. So don't let the 185 steps scare you from the great views from the top of Bermuda.

Beautiful views from the top. It is accessible by bus and is also close to an entrance to the railroad trail. 2$ for ticket to the top.

A must see attraction on the island ! The Lighthouse is an amazing structure located on the top of Gibbs Hill. For a small fee, you can climb the 183 steps and step outside to some amazing views of Bermuda. There is also the Dining Room, a wonderful restaurant, located in the building as well.

A small park with an attached gift shop. Prices are affordable. The steps to the top of the lighthouse are very steep and winding and aren't for everyone. Like every where else on the island, the views are spectacular.

My favourite view in the world is from on top of the lighthouse. Even if you can’t climb up the stairs to the top (whether weather, it’s shut or you can’t climb) the view from the bottom is beautiful too. I truly could sit here for hours.

  • 1/5 Jacqui R. 4 years ago on Google
It was shut! Tuesday morning 11am arrived walked up the hill in beautiful sunshine and it was shut. No signs or notices saying why or when it opened (website says it’s open from 9.30am). Very disappointed ☹️ On the plus side the views even from the top of the hill are spectacular

This was an awesome visit. Not a visit for the faint at heart as once you get to the top it's a very scary view but breath taking. You get to see the beauty of Bermuda. The gift shop has lovely souvenirs that's reasonably priced unlike other places on the island.
