Beautiful beach but no bars where you can go and sit (only of you are a hotel guest in one of the hotels near the beach) So there are better spots to go

Nice and long beach. One area is accessible to the public, the others areas are managed by 3 resorts/restaurants. You can walk along the beach.

Beautiful public beach however there are no lounge chairs to rent, restroom facilities or food available. You also have to walk down about two flights of cement stairs to get to the beach. Unless you have beach chairs I do not recommend. Unless you want to have a quick visit and take some beautiful pictures.

AMAZING!!! Do not miss going here when in Bermuda. We visited in October and there was barely anyone on the beach during the morning into the early afternoon - not to mention it's HUGE! One of the most stunning beaches in the world, must experience!

Wow! First of all, talk about pristinely clean. I have NEVER been to a beach that was virtually spotless like this one. But then again, we're talking about Bermuda here--the locals care about and care for their environment, as they SHOULD! from the grains of pink sand, to the gem-like turquoise waves that were lapping onto the shore, I was nothing short of mesmerized by this beauty of a beach. In summary: GO!

Perhaps the most popular beach in Bermuda, and the wide sandy beach delivers. There's a few bars and restaurants accessible from the beach for when you get tired of the water and sand. On windier days, you can watch kite-boarders off the beach doing amazing tricks. From the western edge of the beach, you can often get spectacular sunset views and in the morning capture the sun as it rises over the Atlantic Ocean.

Elbow Beach is just as awesome as Horseshoe Bay, minus the cool rock formations in the water. The sand is soft and it's a great beach for swimming. Due to its greater distance from the West End cruise ship area, there will likely be less tourists than Horseshoe Bay. For that reason, I give Elbow Beach 5 stars!

Stunning waters and the big waves make it a very fun beach! I don’t recommend this for children or individuals that can’t swim.

Had to look up this beach to see if it still existed, I found a photo of my Grandma on this beach while going through her things. The photo is from August 1956

Whenever we cruise to Bermuda we rent scooters and go to Elbow Beach. Beautiful sand, beautiful water, a decent porta potty, and reasonably priced rentals for the beach. Elbow Beach is not particularly easy to find, but that's probably a good thing.

I was told that a Hurricane made this beach a lot smaller than it was, but we had a blast!! So beautiful and had a few great kite surfing lessons!

There is nowehere to hide from the sun but this beach is just beautiful. Soft white sand and beautiful fish in the sea make it a perfect spot fir snorkeling and diving.

Beautiful!! I must say, the sand was not at all pink when I went, but the beach is a nice one. It’s weird that they close early, and they wouldn’t allow us to rent an umbrella “because of the wind”. They wanted people to rent an $150 tent instead— strange. It’s also hard to get a cab from there, we waited for about 20 minutes, while others hopped onto a shuttle to find a way out of there.

Clean and not too crowded. A few places for shade at the right time of day.

Nice beach - a bit of a walk from the bus. No shade anywhere - hence not 5 stars. Not very crowded. One small food truck.

Really great place, restaurant are expensive, but a nice beach with pink sands. The beach is downhill, really long to get there, and not so easy to come back on top of the hill. Also, the beach is separate in 2, the private part (for the hotel, with amenities) and the public part, that is for everyone.

Elbow Beach Surf Club, gosh, I was there on Spring break in I THINK 1977. It was absolutely AWESOME! Budweiser had beach parties that were a college girls/guys dream come true! Rum Twizzlers with rock candy stirrers, beer, and dancing on the float off of the beach! Skinny dipping at Horseshoe Cove under the cover of darkness shall be in my memory bank forever😎 Falling on my moped the first night and landing on my chin did NOT deter me from anything! Do NOT use your front brake in the rain! The “funniest” memory was driving my moped back to our apartment and smelling gasoline. Say what? Without me knowing, my helmet and hair were saturated with gasoline, while I merrily drove the GORGEOUS, flower covered coral walled road back to our apartment smoking a cigarette. I am LUCKY that I did not blow my myself and the moped to Hamilton Harbor! I said it was “funny” ONLY because I was 19 and did not realize THEN the importance of gasoline AND fire and all the rum twizzlers and beer involved. Anyway, I still LOVE Bermuda with it’s PINK SAND beaches, incredible, probably defunct discos🥲the memorable “Trimminghams”, business men in suit coats WITH Bermuda shorts and of course skinny dipping at Horseshoe Cove😎

It's a cool beach with good swimming area and views of the ocean. Just extra care has to be taken when swimming 🏊🏾‍♂️, there could be Swimmer's Ear infection if you take long in the waters and never dry your ear thereafter.

We stayed last year and had an amazing experience. We decided to return and found things had gone downhill. The quality of the linens was poor. They were rough and not fresh. The quality of the toiletries also decreased. A cheap brand with limited options. The room no longer has a coffee machine but instant coffee only. The fridge was once stocked with complimentary water and soda. This no longer applies. Cabs are more scarce this year as result of s dispute with management. The food at each restaurant was mediocre and lacked quality. some of this sounds trite, but when you are paying these rates, you expect high quality. The beach and the view make the experience .

Elbow beach is a beautiful picturesque holiday resort on the coastal slope of bermudas south shore.the sea views are fantastic and the lawns and gardens.full of hibiscus etc. Well maintained and very pleasant to look at.main hotel at top of slope now closed except for reception.veranda and some ground floor meeting rooms..shame as it is a beautiful old colonial building7 full of character.the whole complex is on a coastal slope and so is not good for less fit or able people there is live entertainment 3 nights a week and good bars and restaurants including 'mickeys"on the beach.not cheap at all but in line with cost of holidaying in bermuda

I booked in Jan 2020 for a July Vacation. The hotel billed my credit card $2,150 for a deposit. I cancelled in May, well in advance of the cancellation policy (30 days). I was told that my credit card would be refunded in 30 business days. I waited. No refund. I called in July to inquire and no one answered the phone with a message about closing. I left a message and no one responded. I called again in August to the same tune. I have just opened a dispute with my credit card company. DO NOT PLACE A DEPOSIT WITH THEM UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCE.

Elbow Beach is a favorite among locals and visitors. It’s a self service beach so bring your own towels, beverages and umbrellas. There’s a concession there during the summer months selling food. Elbow Beach Resort shares a portion of this beach and offers a day rate. To get there by bus, use the number 7 and ask the driver to let you off at Elbow Beach.

    Gorgeous beach.

This really is a terrific beach even if you aren't staying at the hotel. Long so it's good for walking. The public access is on a long street (if you take the bus) and there really isn't a public restroom. We ate lunch at Elbow Beach Hotel restaurant on the beach ( and washed our hands there fyi).

Very beautiful but be aware that due to the hurricane a lot of the sand has been removed and the beach is closed to the public so you won’t be able to access it - check before you go all the way there. We went last week and the only bar open was Cafe Lido which was dead but nice for a drink.

Not as crowded as horseshoe bay and with good snorkelling, as a steamship once sank here, and was later blown up since people cut themselves on it. You can still see the remnants of the ship today!

  • 5/5 Paul D. 4 years ago on Google
A very clean and picturesque beach. Although it can get busy, it never felt crowded. The water is clear and although there's a bit of surf (ideal for bodyboarding) it's enough that you can swim easily enough. As others noted, there's some bars around if you need food/drinks. Biggest issue is parking (finding it) and then lugging stuff up/down.
