Hmm… not sure why this restaurant has so many great reviews. The service was decent but the food was just okay. Husband ordered medium rare NY steak and they gave it to him rare; we had to send it back. Cheddar sausage biscuits and mashed potatoes may have been the best things we ordered. Short rib had a good flavor but nothing spectacular. Brussels sprouts were a little too salty and sweet. Deep fried apple pie was pretty good. Overall it was okay. My expectations were really high because of all the great reviews. For a higher priced restaurant I expected more. I don’t think we will be going back.

Food overall was very good. We started with the duck wings, bacon wrapped quail, tomato pie and then moved to scallops, short rib and got Mac n cheese, Brussels sprouts. I think that much food was perfect for 3 of us. Ended with fried peach pie for dessert. I had the strawberry sangria and thought it was refreshing but also on the sweeter side. I tried a bit of the raspberry beret and wasn’t a fan of the heavy bitters. Generally everything was tasty although I did think duck wings and brussel sprouts were a bit too sweet. The fried peach pie was very good too although the caramel was overwhelming. I almost wish it was a little bitter to balance the overly sweet filling. I do think generally there was a missing wow quality to many of the dishes and food came out in a slower than expected pace. I think my favorite were the Mac n cheese and mashed potatoes - super creamy. Overall, a great place for drinks and food with friends. I came with family and thought it was a bit loud.

Interesting architecture, though loud. Very interesting menu with my FAV duck and quail! Started with delicious fried duck wings drizzled with honey. Fall off the bone goodness Then tried the bacon wrapped quail with dates. EXCELLENT. Crispy, juicy, just perfect. Main dish was Beef Cheek Pot Roast. Very out of character for me. Good though over salted served with bland mushed potatoes! VERY limited wine list and even more limited by the glass but seemed more of an older whiskey crowd. A little more thought into the wines would have been a nice accompaniment to this delicious food Get a table with reservations. I sat at the bar, not the most comfortable. They have a very nice patio too.

Came here while visiting Nashville. As a group of 4 we did sharing style so we could try a bunch of things. Big highlights were the zucchini fritters, short rib and the scallops - would come again to just have those. Mash potatoes were also super creamy and tasty. Overall really solid restaurant

This restaurant is a gem and always on the list when we have guests visiting Nashville! Located in Germantown, it is a quick ride from downtown Nashville. Ambience is understated and has a great vibe. Food is consistently delicious. Wait staff is always top notch and attentive. My favorites… cheddar sausage biscuits and tomato pie as appetizers to share. The chopped salad presentation is over the top and could be a whole meal by itself- so fresh! Best beer can chicken ever. Make sure you save room for dessert, great options! Mango crumble was unique and loaded with flavor.

We had an amazing time and loved the atmosphere. Busy even on a Wednesday. We had a 630 reservation and were seated right away. We started with the quail and the sausage biscuit, both were recommended and they didn't disappoint. My wife loved the monk fish and I ordered the venison loin which tasted wonderful but came out on a cool to the touch plate which made everything luke warm. If it wasn't for that I would have given 5 stars.

I really enjoyed this place. The atmosphere was great it was super busy had a good vibe and good energy but you could still talk and communicate without having to raise your voice much. The food had a lot of different flavors I ordered the filet. It was good but not mind going there was a little bit too much sauce on it for me. Someone else with order to scallops and said they were pretty good and then we ordered several different appetizers all of which were good. He also ordered two different salads which I was not a huge fan of. The service was good even considering how busy it was and the food came out timely. We went on a Wednesday night at 6:00 p.m.

Best meal I’ve had in awhile. The mashed potatoes are addictive. I started with the sausage cheddar biscuits which apparently aren’t just for breakfast anymore. They had a slight sweetness to them. Then I followed that with the short ribs that had a mild fig sweetness to it. I tried the Mac and cheese, which was good, but I really just wanted the mashed potatoes. This meal was fabulous and service was attentive without being annoying.

The atmosphere, drinks, and staff were all awesome! The food, not so much. The steak came out cold. The beef cheeks were good. The wood fried mushrooms were excellent.

I’m in love with this place. The ambience is impeccably vibe-y and dark/intimate. The service was also excellent and efficient. The NY strip and mashed was some of the best I’ve ever had. Just overall such an A+ experience, this will absolutely be a re-visit next time I’m in Nashville. I also love that this is away from the Broadway madness and in a quiet neighborhood. Super classy.

Incredible; visited for our anniversary and it did not disappoint - we had the summer peach salad and sausage cheddar biscuits to start. Biscuits are flaky and sweet and the salad was delicious. Sharp cheddar + fresh fruit made for a stunning combination. For entrees I highly recommend the beer can chicken, although the beef cheek pot roast was phenomenal as well. Chicken was cooked to perfection and the accompanying mashed potatoes were some of the best I've had. I also got a side a green beans which came with roasted garlic that went very well with my dish. Portions are large, but there is a $5 split fee, so you may as well get your own and take some leftovers home! They did not offer a free dessert for our anniversary, but with such an upscale place that's not necessarily expected.

Good food. Big portions. Great service. What else could you want. Got the meatloaf sandwich, beer chicken, and fried chicken. Edit: went again. Fried chicken was very good. The monkfish was also very good. Dessert was good too I would recommend the monkfish, beer chicken, or fried chicken overall. I don’t feel like the meatloaf was quite as good as the others, as I just wasn’t a huge fan of the sauce on it personally.

Overall a phenomenal experience. Went with a group of people and tried all the appetizers. Couldn't go wrong with any of them. Entrees were phenomenal and the service was splendid. It is on the pricey side, so beware of that but worth it.

This place is just all around phenomenal. The cocktails are some of my favorite in Nashville, the food is simple yet elevated to excellence, the atmosphere is unparalleled and the service we received from Kevin was excellent- he’s terrific! So much finesse! Don’t miss out!

We came for a dinner for a bachelorette party. The party was about 12-14 women. We all ordered drinks which took a while to receive which is fine because it was a larger party. The waitress was taking our orders and I requested the sausage biscuits for an appetizer. I asked what all it came with and some things I wanted to take off. I asked the waitress about the chicken biscuits and there were some toppings that are not aligned with my palate. The waitress told me “then do not get it because you are taking too many toppings off which will change your experience, its not the same I would recommend not doing that or finding something else to eat”. I was very confused because why would you think that was okay to say. I said I will not order anything. Then she changed to say well I mean you can get it but it wont taste as good. The chicken biscuits with my modifications were very good. My friend ordered the fried chicken plate and she specifically asked is there any orange or citrus based sauces. The waitress said no and she said okay I am allergic so just want to let you know. The chicken came out with a glaze - which indeed made her tongue itch. We tried the chicken as well and it did have some type of orange seasoning in it. The atmosphere is nice but very dark almost too dark in the inside. The waitress took a very long time to refill waters. We requested ice for our glasses of water. Never received so we got some from the bar. I do not recommend

GREAT restaurant - really dramatic space with big open kitchen. Food was delicious especially the chicken liver mousse and the scallops. My friends all opted for their specialty, the beer can chicken - got big raves.

A delicious meal! All of the dishes were amazing and cooked to perfection. Highly recommend if you want a great meal away from downtown Nashville crowds.

Lovely atmosphere, parking was complicated during dinner hours - walk here if you can and make reservations as this place is a bit busy. The food was good but the steak could have been cooked better however they more than made up for everything with probably the best old fashioned I had during my week in Nashville - could have sat there and drank them all night.

One of my favorite local restaurants here in Nashville. They aways have fun new dishes on the menu that are worth trying out! Highly recommend!!

Topnotch experience. The menu is exceptional. Amanda's service and hospitality was above and beyond. Compliments to the chef as well. Definitely a go to for any occasion for the atmosphere is compatible for any mood you are in. The music and art topped it off.

Came to 5th & Taylor to celebrate a birthday, and was taken aback by how inviting and hospitable the staff here is. Most servers were smiling and having pleasant interactions with guests, and our server in particular excellently guided us through the dinner menu and communicated genuine care in making sure our experience was top-flight. While the house cocktail offerings are a little basic and lacking, the drink menu is first rate and features outstanding local/regional offerings. The duck-‘am (prosciutto-wrapped duck) is remarkable and cooked to perfection. Their steaks feature an ox tail gravy that is stunning and unique…definitely a must try. The house mashed potatoes are creamy, delicate and delicious, and their Brussels sprouts are a slam dunk and difficult to describe. The stars of the night, however, were the bacon-wrapped quail served in a sorghum/date sauce, and mango cobbler served with coconut ice cream. This restaurant might take a back seat to some of the hotter tables in Nashville, but from the moment you enter to the moment you leave, you will certainly be blown away by this dining experience.

Yep. 5 star all around. I highly recommend either salad, the pork lettuce wraps, the short ribs, the fried chicken, and Brussel sprouts! Absolutely beautiful atmosphere. The outdoor space is very lovely but it was 96° and I wasn't going. Street parking is available. I will definitely be back!

The ambiance with the dim lighting was pleasant. The service was exceptional and the food was as well. Everything from the tri tip sirloin with ox tail gravy to the whipped potatoes to the beer can chicken was moist and flavorful. Highly recommend this spot!

I'm really not a review person, but I had to write about this place. Not only was the food great, every person we met on the staff here was so pleasant and personable. We made a last minute reservation for a friend's birthday, and I'm so glad we were able to see this place! Our server was Kim who was just the nicest and was super attentive, even on a busy Saturday night. We also met the front of house manager Ash who was literally a hoot and a half; they are such a breath of fresh air and were a joy to joke with and talk to. We also met Zadd who we asked to fill in on a story we all were telling and was just a pleasant dude! Even if you don't go for the food, the atmosphere and the people are what truly make this experience amazing.

Great food bad service. It was only a part of 7 and we wait for ever to get our food. We spent 4 hours getting everything we ordered. The drinks were great.

Had a fantastic meal at 5th and Taylor - and I now get why everyone raves about it! My favorite dish of the night was the brussel sprouts, followed by the beef cheeks and the fried apple pie! The hangar steak, dumplings and biscuits were also delicious! Can’t go wrong here!

Food was different but not a fan of this restaurant. Highly recommend shrimp and dumpling in appetizer. Entree was average despite good ratings. Beer chicken highly overrated!

Ambience is very modern and sleek, service was attentive and kind, food was delicious with decent portion sizes. Overall, some of the best food I've had at Nashville. The apple pie dessert was also a favorite at our table.
