I will start with the manager's treatment, with the blue shirt,oh my God,he is so rude,,He forced us to sit at a table in an uncomfortable place, What is this? I have never seen anything like this in my life. and it seems that he is not Indian, he has an attitude. Regarding the food I’ve tried Indian food and I know it has a good taste, but in this restaurant was disappointed, I ordered several things, most famous dishes meat biryani, mattan curry , which was all small bones and the taste was not authentic

This was my wedding party last year in August 2020 (pandemic). The restaurant was very accommodating even though we had no reservations. The service was phenomenal, they had patience with us because we were unfamiliar with Indian cuisine. Everyone enjoyed the different flavors and foods! To this day me and my husband order food from here, and it's on point ever single time!! It's the consistency for me!! Our favorite food to order is the Mango Chicken and the Cashew Chicken. There's much more to try !!

Disappointing experience. Very disorganized, service is sub-par, and food is ok. Ambience is good and the utensils are new. They need to do a better job with the service and be attentive to and responsive to the needs of the customers. Chicken Curry was below average, Karahi chicken had an after taste, Paneer pakora was not fresh, chicken fried rice was very hot when the order was for mild, Tandoori Roti had lots of salt that I could taste. Mango Lassi was not good. We will not go there again till they have their act together. 🙄

Used to come here for lunch buffet with work friends. Like coming here for a sit down dinner. Papadum came out first to snack on along with accompanied sauces to dip. Ordered the tandoori eggplant, it was the best thing we got this day. My son loves the butter chicken.

The food tasted fresh and tasty. A lot of options available for buffet with medium hot spicy level. A young lady managing table for us was very nice with the customers. She did great job managing table for 9 of us. One of the best Indian restaurants I have been to in the US.

This was my first time having Indian food. I'm in love. Now I'll be honest. The service wasn't the best.....but the food made up for it. I've been back 3 times since to get the Lamb Curry to go. But the best thing about this place is it's a buffet so you can try many things! It made my experience easy and relaxing. As I was nervous I wouldn't know what to order. But the Lamb curry best thing I've had in my mouth in years!!!!!😋

They moved to a new location and it's way better than the last one! Very nice and open atmosphere and more spots to sit down. I thought the food selection was going to be bigger because of the location but it's about the same as before. The food is really good. The bread was fresh and warm and this is a great option for a buffet.

Beautiful atmosphere at the new location! The food is always amazing and the staff is super attentive. So happy to have them a little closer to home now. Would love to see pakora on the buffet more often because it's so good! The price is also super reasonable compared to other Indian buffets in Nashville, which is awesome.

Amazing food and service. Lamb Chops are insanely good (that's what's in the picture). I've tried several other dishes and never been disappointed. Best Indian cuisine I've ate at so far in TN.

Ordered via Postmates and everything arrived well packed and still hot. The butter chicken and curry goat were absolutely delicious. Portions were generous. I would skip the raita next time as it was very watery and flavorless. Still a five star review because everything else was fantastic!

My first time getting Indian. I paid 20 bucks for this. A little on the steep side but it was delicious. People keep saying that the portions are like “2 meals.” Maybe I am just fat but I devoured that with ease. Nonetheless, easy 5 stars for me cuz of how good the food was.

We love this place. The food is great! Service is usually pretty good. The only area to improve on is there is not any allergen or ingredient lists for the menu, or gluten free menu.

So we're from nyc and wanted something home-cooked tasty and delish . The food was some of the best indian food I have had in a few years besides my own talent for cooking. Flavorful tasty not over powering. Kudos to the chef. If you're looking to dine in grab an early dinner 4pm. This is not a buffet restaurant as per the website.Because after 6pm it gets really crowded . My recommendations are the achari chicken. The taj special biryani. A must for me was the baigan bartha and lamb vindaloo. Heat level for medium is not much . Even hot level. I asked for extra chillies . Definitely great food. The best Bombay tonic I ever had . But parking can be difficult.

Our favorite place for over a decade, always a treat. Flavors are excellent. Staff is wonderful-friendly, attentive, willing to help navigate the menu. Love the new site, it's beautiful.

Looking for good Indian food found this place. Would I recommend yes and no? I can start with the cons. Waiting to be seated seems a bit of a wait. They don’t have anyone at the front to sit you like other restaurants (or maybe they do, and this day I went, they didn’t). Luckily didn’t wait long, around 5-7 minutes. After being seated, it took a while to place an order, probably 20-25 minutes. After they took the order, this is where the food took forever, almost an hour. If that is not bad enough, other people were coming in, got seated, and were served their food before our food. We almost got up and told them we would leave because everybody was getting their food when they came after us (I don’t know if it was a race thing). Before we could do so, the food finally came out. Now the pros. The food is good over here. I got the chicken makhani - spice level hot with garlic naan. The level of hotness wasn’t too hot. I was expecting it to be hotter. The chicken tikka masala was pretty good too. The server was polite overall; I wished he had come by sooner to take our order. The restaurant is roomy, has high ceilings, and doesn’t feel claustrophobic. Well-lit inside. Overall, would I go back again? Maybe, but I might place a to-go order. Then again, perhaps I went on an off day. If I do go back, I will update this post.

We had a birthday party for 30 guests at Taj recently. The food, service, atmosphere everything was a 10 out of 5. They were so easy to work with in planning our party, and the execution was flawless. Even with serving that many people at one time, everything was hot a delicious — not too spicy since most of the guests were unfamiliar with Indian food. It was just perfect in every way.

The BEST Indian food in the City! Expense wise it's mid to high range but worth every penny. You can spend between $20-$100 depending on how big you want to go out on the meal whether your feeding just yourself or the whole family. Lunch is GREAT for the buffet! Although the option for buffet is not there for dinner, don't let that discourage you as for dinner they have an abundance of options for food! It can be a little overwhelming when first ordering of the menu but take your time, as anything you order is fresh, hot, and usually portioned in such a way that you have plenty to eat there and take home. For service, it is always a lovely experience whether you dine in or take out. Even reheating the food at home it's just as good quality as it was in house. I highly recommend this place and am now a repeat customer for multiple occasions. Bring your friends and bring your family if you want to experience a great Indian cuisine in an equally enriched atmosphere.

Fantastic Indian food. The Korma here is by far the best in town. I also wouldn't skip the vindaloo or samosas. is very dark and intimate , and if that isn't your vibe, pick it up and eat under the tent in the parking lot. Plaza in general is awesome, but this is one of the best in there.

I read all the reviews so thought I was in for a treat. Ordered for deliver. First they didn't send my samosas, but that is not something I would trash the ratings for. But the food, I totally will. So where to start, The Gobi Manchurian had no real flavor, tasted like it was in the freezer for ages then just reheated, so much so it was pretty soggy. Then the lamb Rogan Josh. I have never seen it eaten on like this but it really just tasted salty with not much else to it. Just so disappointed by it all. I would not go back here. Sorry guys.

Me and my husband haven’t had Indian food for a while and we wanted to try it again. We came in and the smells in the air were the first thing that hit us. Absolutely delicious smelling in the restaurant. As soon as they sat us down we were given an amazing appetizer then followed with an amazing meal. We are super excited to come back and try it again!

Been looking for a Indian restaurant close to home after trying it a few times in Louisville and loved it. The food is amazing here (definitely recommend the lamb korma, butter chicken, garlic naan, and meat samosas)! Service was excellent and I will be coming back!

One of the best parts about relocating is trying out all the local restaurants in the area until you find your favorites 🤩. But the best part really comes when you find that spot on the first try. We’ve had great homemade Indian food and our standards are HIGH, I have to say every dish we ordered here was delicious. I’m always weary of ordering lamb anywhere and yet the lamb korma here was one of my two favorites, the other was the bhindi masala. This place has definitely earned our trust and business. Masks 😷 ✅ Hand sanitizer ✅ Social distancing ✅ Done in ✅ Take out ✅

We use to come here years ago, for the Amazing Lunch Buffet, so we (co-workers) decided to go again for lunch. The Buffet was closed due to the Pandemic (no big deal). So we placed our order from the menu and waited, about 30 minutes for our orders. Finally we asked the waiter to just make our meals togo. I ordered the Curried Goat and it was Great! The food is great, but it is a little pricey for what you get and the wait time is just horrible. I give them a 4, because the food is the STAR.

This is my favorite Indian restaurant in the entire greater Nashville area! The vibe inside is nice and the food NEVER disappoints. Anytime I’ve gone here I’ve left with food for at least 2 days. I would recommend anything on the menu honestly but paneer masala is my all time favorite.
