We have been patients here at Tennessee Maternal Fetal Medicine since 2011 and now we’re having our fourth child. All the doctors as well as the nurse practitioners, sonographers, and nurses have been courteous and professional. Dr Collins and Tracy are the ones who attend to us mostly and they are phenomenal. It’s unfortunate that other patients have not had our experience and I do wish that they could so they can truly appreciate great health care at this particularly vulnerable stage in our lives. Thanks Guys and Gals for what you do.

I had a 20 week anatomy scan performed at this facility. On 12/23/2021 I submitted my payment to this facility in full. Since then, I have received multiple statements in the mail saying I owe them $56. I contacted the billing department and at first they stated they did not have record of my payment. I gave the person I talked to the date of my payment, when it went through on my card, and had the email saying I paid available. However, these people seemed oblivious to the fact I had ever paid. They even proceeded to send me something in the mail saying they were sending me to a collections agency. The best part is with one of the statements they sent an apology saying they were having errors with their billing, and I may have been sent to collections with little or no notice. I have never not paid bills on time, and I clearly paid this. The collections agency continues to say I owe them $56. I contacted the manager from the facility, and she left me a voicemail stating this was taken care of. Then I proceed to get another statement in the mail after this stating I still owe them the $56. Now, I have paid the $56 just because I do not want this to ruin my credit. However, I wanted to post my experience so others can be knowledgeable about this. I will be sure I never have another ultrasound at this facility and will make sure others do not either. I never leave reviews, but felt like this had to be addressed.

I wish I could give 0 stars. Billing is always super weird, so I elect to wait for a statement to look at what they’re charging me. I see a different doctor every time I’m here. Most of the time they don’t have my correct blood sugar numbers in front of them. I go to the Murfreesboro location and it’s always a nightmare. Nurses aren’t courteous and always give attitude. Will not use them in future pregnancies and have considered changing providers even now at 25 weeks.

Avoid if at all possible! Customer service is horrible! Covid protocols are absolutely ridiculous. I have three children, my husband and I work full-time jobs and my appointment fell right after I had to pick my oldest child up from school. I walked in a couple minutes early for my appointment and was turned away because I had my child with me. I was asked to wait outside, I was the ONLY one in the waiting room. They said due to Covid, my child could not be with me. I am allowed to bring a spouse, but not my child? My child and I both were willing to wear a mask and my child is extremely well behaved. We were asked to reschedule our appointment. I took my child all the way home, went back for the rescheduling of my appointment and waited in the waiting room for over 30 minutes for my appointment. I was the only person there again, I finally had to interrupt the two women who were on a FaceTime call at the front desk (talking about their late nights out and very inappropriate things) to tell them that I could not wait any longer. I took over 2 hours off work to get an ultrasound that I didn’t even get. DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE.

TERRIBLE BILLING. Great group of doctors but not at all worth it for the billing. Bills are sent that are incorrect, the billing department has no understanding of the system, etc. I pay monthly on my bill and they consistently claim I do not. Do not use this practice!!! All reviews I have read are similar- don’t let yourself get caught up in this terrible system.

I love every single provider here!! I'm so thankful that I'm in such good hands! Lately, Tracy Wilder has been over my care & she IS ON IT! So smart, helpful & caring. Knows exactly what needs to be done! I cannot express how amazing this practice is & how important they make you feel! Some days it's really busy, but I never leave feeling that I was not properly cared for. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Cheers to you all that work so hard for high risk pregnant women like us!! God bless!

THE WORST. AVOID AT ALL COSTS. At 8 months pregnant we had to go here because of an insurance dispute with our usual practice. The tech rushed through the growth scan only taking one measurement of each body part (AC, FL, HL, ect). It's customary to take several measurements and average them out, but no, not here. All of the measurements were complete in less than 5 minutes. The ironic thing is, the tech proceeded to spend 45 MINUTES trying to get a good 4D image of his face. We later Googled her name and discovered she has a mobile 4D ultrasound service and was just using us to get more paid practice on the clock. Anyway, she had our baby measuring in the 1 percentile, which left us terrified. An ultrasound the next day had him in the 80th percentile!!! This person should be fired, and this practice should be shut down forever.

It was my first time at this place! And my experience was good! Maria Carapia’s medical assistant was a nice lady to take care of me and she explained me everything with too much patience! The provider was very nice too and always explained me with all the details about my case and answered all my questions! I truly recommend Tennessee Maternal Fetal Medicine! Thanks

Dr. Graves has handled my care post birth and I couldn't be more happy that she's in my corner! The telehealth visits are so convenient, and I love how she explains everything to me so I can understand my health overall and is so passionate about follow-up too.

In no where does it state in paperwork on date of appointment.hownmany guests you can have with you. My pregnant daughter, her baby daddy and I drove here today 5/25/23 for two hours to be told I couldn't even be in the building. I had to go back out to car on a 80•day and wait with nothing to do. Genetic testing so this was important day and they would not even let me be with my daughter. I am not happy. They need to specify how many quests! Yes I am both hurt and angry 😡 Parking lot is small and is really hard to find a safe parking spot without someone bumping their car door into your car.

There are a few great doctors and ultrasound techs at this practice, but I will say that overall it is apparent that the patient experience is not a priority here. Typically when we go for our monthly ultrasound, we have to wait 60+ minutes to see a doctor after the ultrasound is completed. One time we waited for 1 hour and 45 minutes after the ultrasound just to see a doctor for 5 minutes. Every time we have an appointment we have to block out 3 hours of time because they are always very behind schedule. The office itself has a very dirty feel to it. The floors in the waiting rooms are incredibly dirty and the place just feels gross overall. I have never been to a doctor's office that is as unclean in appearance as this office. Given that they are serving a high risk population you would think that cleanliness would be more of a priority. Additionally, we have had one specific ultrasound tech who is very inappropriate and unprofessional. Asking us intrusive personal questions, making inappropriate comments, all while struggling to get the images she needed to get. We have seen a different doctor each time we are there. We would prefer some level of continuity of care, but it's clear that is not a priority. I will say that if we had any serious issues with the pregnancy, we would be switching to a different MFM. I would not trust this practice to manage any serious complications and we are lucky that so far we have had none. This practice does not instill confidence in me and their lack of commitment towards patient experience and cleanliness is concerning. I am giving two stars because there are a couple of doctors and one ultrasound tech that we have had a positive experience with, otherwise I would be giving one star.

I can’t say enough about the nurses and providers at TMFM. I appreciate that they always ask about updates. They are kind, compassionate, and patient with all question with informative answers. I’ve also gotten great ultrasound pictures to keep during this pregnancy. Little things like this are so nice when your pregnancy isn’t going as planned or smoothly. I have always felt that I am in good hands here.

Unprofessional is an understatement. The intake nurses smelt like weed on more than one occasion. In addition, when we had a 4 week early delivery due to an undiagnosed condition that both this office and our OB's office missed, we were told we needed an additional referral to have a follow up appointment because it was a "new condition"! Now they just said they can't get us in until December. What a joke.

Medically, we are satisfied with their performance overall. It did seem as though they did not work with the OB as closely as other clinics we’ve been to, but they were attentive and responded to our questions well and quickly. Their billing system is horrible. They often ask for payment before a bill has been sent to us, and they try to print out a confusing spreadsheet without letterhead or formatting as justification to pay on there. We learned to ignore that and wait two or three months for the actual bill to come in. When you try to pay online, the payment site is often down, so you’re limited to in-person payment, phone payment, or mail-in. It seems very unorganized and well behind most other clinics, especially in the Nashville area.

We had to drive an hour to do the ultrasound with my wife and daughter and they didn’t mention that the kids are not allowed in the building, so now we have to wait in the street. Never seen a place where you do an ultrasound and kids not allowed!! Staff didn’t greet us or acknowledged us, obliged to wear a mask inside. We hope we never have to come back to this place.

Please stay away from TNMFM. This practice (I hesitate to even call them that given how poorly they are managed) is the worst I’ve encountered in Nashville. I’m a local Physician Assistant and I have been shocked by the lack of competency at TNMFM. I began receiving prerecorded phone calls and messages which appeared to be a scam or a form of spam stating that I had an unpaid balance and asking me to pay. Since I haven’t been to their practice and the name on the messages was incorrect (my maiden name which I have not been for almost 10 years), I ignored the messages as some of the typical daily scam/spam calls I receive. I also never received a bill in the mail or an explanation of benefits from my insurance company showing where I had been treated by any physician from this practice. (Again, as a PA, I understand how insurance and billing works). After many months of these spam calls, I called their office and their finance dept informed me that I had an outstanding balance because I had been seen (unknowingly) in the hospital by one of their doctors. They stated that I had been sent several statements without payment. When I informed them that I had not received a bill, they read me the address they had on file. I was stunned considering I hadn’t lived at the address for over 6 years. They also had my name and additional contact information incorrect as well as my insurance information. Therefore they had not been able to bill my insurance and told me I now had to pay out of pocket because it was too late to file with insurance. The billing associate told me that the doctors typically get all of the information from the hospital chart when they see a patient so she wasn’t sure how ALL of the information they had on file was incorrect. She was apologetic and understood why I had been unable to pay the bill (since I’d never received one or any other notification) and said she would speak to a manager and call me back. She never called back so a week later I called again and she informed me she had misplaced my information. SO. MUCH. INCOMPETENCE. She said again that she would have a manager call me. And of course no one ever did. I have called back a minimum of once/month for the last 6 months trying to speak with someone and not once has anyone answered or returned my call. Today, I began receiving phone calls again stating I had an outstanding balance of $495. I still have never received a single bill or communication from them other than these prerecorded spam calls. I have never seen such a poorly run operation and can only warn you to STAY AWAY from these thieves. They have no place in medicine where we are called to put patients first.

AVOID AT ALL COST. Do not waste your money or time at this place. They cancelled my appt in Brentwood and I drove 45 minutes downtown. They didn’t give us an address or any information that we couldn’t bring more then one person. Super disgusting and rude office. Ended up walking out and not seen because of the way they treated us.

I had a great experience with TN MFM! I went to them throughout my pregnancy because of my asthma. Everyone was very kind, helpful and professional. I was initially nervous because of some of the reviews, but my midwife said they refer most of their patients there, so I decided to trust their recommendation, and I'm glad I did! It does look like a lot of the negative reviews are regarding their third-party billing service, but I never had any issues with billing...so far!

Today, my wife drove almost two hours for an appointment here, and was initially refused service because she brought our breastfeeding baby. We don't like that, but that's the provider's discretion and it's our fault for not seeing the "no children" rule. Here's the kicker: when our midwife (supported by a doctor, where this will be our 3rd home birth) called the practice to try and discuss this, we were told, "Oh, she walked in and said she couldn't pay, so we declined service." Wait, what? That is absolutely false. My pregnant wife then drove the two hours home, feeling humiliated and discriminated. Shame on you.

I've seen providers at the Mt. Juliet location for two different pregnancies for gestational diabetes. Fully understanding that this is a satellite office, I've had a great experience. Scheduling has been easy and most of the time I don't have to wait very long for my appointment. There have been a few occasions in which I have to wait a little longer to see a provider but in the telehealth world we live in, that is completely understandable.
