The
few
baristas
that
are
left
at
this
location
are
phenomenal,
and
I’m
really
proud
of
them
for
sticking
it
out.
I
used
to
work
here,
and
it
was
a
store
that
I
loved
and
was
happy
to
give
my
whole
heart
to.
Management
changed,
though,
and
the
empathetic,
energized,
joyful
environment
that
me
and
my
phenomenal
team
loved
working
in
was
gone
quickly.
Despite
my
years
at
the
store
(4,
non-consecutively)
my
input
was
never
valued
less.
We
were
treated
as
though
we
had
the
worst
intentions,
despite
the
fact
part
of
our
mission
is
“assuming
the
best
in
people.”
I
felt
unheard,
disrespected,
and
it
no
longer
felt
worth
it
to
stay.
I
gave
some
excuse
about
finding
a
better
job,
though,
I
regret
that
now.
The
new
manager
was
not
ready
for
his
role,
and
instead
of
admitting
that,
being
honest,
and
taking
accountability
for
many,
many
missteps,
he
has
chosen
to
double
down
on
his
poor
management
style.
The
environment
felt
hostile,
despite
the
cheery
demeanor
he
tried
to
hide
his
malice
under.
My
heart
breaks
for
those
of
us
who
gave
up
the
best
team
we’d
ever
had
due
to
the
declining
environment,
but
my
heart
breaks
even
more
for
those
who
have
stayed
and
had
to
watch
their
store;
a
place
we’ve
poured
our
hearts,
time,
and
soul
into
devolve
into
madness.
RIP
Starbucks
Oak
Park.
I
hope
better
management
will
bring
you
back
to
us
one
day.
