The best guide I ever had! Since moment one he transmitted us his love for his country, Ethiopia, which made our days there even more magical. And from this love, Mehammed tried (and achieved) to give us an amazing experience. The tour was really well organized, everything worked out perfectly, he thought us a lot about the country, and took us to experience Ethiopian culture in the best way possible. We went to some of the many chapels built almost on top of the rock mountains of the Tigray region: absolutely mesmerizing. I will definitely come back to Ethiopia cause theres lots more to see and experience, and I’ll definitely contact Jebena Tours when I do.

Beautiful experience, despite the calls for caution we found a wonderful and peaceful country, populated by inclusive and smiling people. The country offers astonishing natural beauty but also a fascinating past that can be found in the many historical sites. Highly recommend planning any Ethiopia travel with Mehammed! I sent a WhatsApp only a couple days before my long layover in Addis Ababa and Mehammed expertly arranged the perfect day tour of the city with Yihun as my guide. Yihun was super friendly and knowledgeable and made sure I learned a lot, ate and drank a lot, and saw as much as I could in my short time in Addis. I can't wait for the next time I'm in Ethiopia to hopefully travel even more with Jebena!

Mehammed was a great tour guide. He took us to the market, MERCATO. We spent the whole morning with him. He explained everything about the country to us. He was very friendly and cheerful. He took us to the best places. We had peace and quiet when walking with him. It was all very pleasant. I highly recommend it.

We did two tours with Jebena Tour, one day in the city of Addis and the other in the countryside (Debre Libanos Orthodox Church). Although it was quick, we were able to get a feel for Ethiopia. We can only praise the agency. The initial contact was easy and practical, and the two-day tour was wonderful. They are professional, very knowledgeable about the country's history/culture, speak good English, take you out for great meals and coffee and are very polite. I recommend Jebena Tour to anyone who wants to get to know a bit about this incredible country.

My wife and I travelled to Ethiopia on January 2025. We booked one week tour with Mohammed passing by Erta Ale volcano, Dallol in Denakyl depression, Mekele, some rock churches in Tigray as Abune Yemata, and finishing in Axun. This was the most incredible day of our lifes. Despite of the long distances, Mohammed great sense of humor and organization makes everything easy. Everyday we had amazing experiences and fantastic scenarios. It is impressive the amount of knowlegde this man has about every subject regarding his country, from History, Politics to birds. And he is so open-hearted, so funny, that quickly we could feel we have been friends for a long time. Still, he was always very thoughtful about our confort, security, hidration haha Ah, and we also did the Mercato tour with him in Addis, and I can not imagine a better person to guide you through this. Even as experienced travellers, there are things that you just are not able to do it on your own, or you will just scratch the surface. Travelling with him, I can say, even changed a bit the way I travel: I could see how much deeper you can dive into a country essence accompanied by a excellent guide. Ele tem graduação em turismo e dá pra perceber isso pelo tanto de informações legais e importantes que ele falava pra gente durante os trajetos. - Todas as atividades e lugares foram muito bem organizadas pelo Mohammed. Tivemos tempo suficiente para aproveitar cada ponto turístico e para descansar. Tudo parecia ser planejado na medida certa. - Os motoristas Dani (em Danakil) e Goitom (em Tigray) foram fantásticos e dirigiam muito bem, principalmente em estradas mais difíceis. - Esta agência de turismo autorizada pelo governo, então mais segurança. - Tivemos tempo suficiente para tirar fotos e os guias sempre perguntava se queríamos que eles tirassem fotos com o nosso celular (fotos muito boas, inclusive). Segurança: - Eu quase desisti do passeio porque tinha lido algumas noticias exageradas sobre a região de Afar e Tigray, então conversei com Mohammed para saber melhor sobre as noticias locais e ele nos acalmou. Ainda bem que decidimos seguir com o plano, porque eu me senti segura o tempo inteiro. As estradas são bem fiscalizadas e o roteiro turístico é bem pacífico. Resumindo: Leia noticias de jornais locais, se informe com o guia sobre a segurança atual e confie em quem prioriza a sua segurança, por exemplo a equipe Jebena. Acomodação: - As melhores noites pra mim foram em Danakil, quando eu dormi vendo o céu todo estrelado. Incrível! - Os colchonetes eram super confortáveis e as cobertas e lençóis estavam limpos. - Observação: lembre de levar um travesseiro ou algo confortável para repousar a cabeça. Comida: - Durante as viagens em Danakil, tínhamos um cozinheiro na equipe. A comida era muito boa e saudável, com sopa, arroz, macarrão e legumes no almoço e janta, e com ovos e pães no café da manhã. - Sempre que voltávamos das atividades a comida estava pronta e quentinha. - Para beber tínhamos café, chá, cerveja gelada e refrigerante. - A água oferecida foi suficiente para toda a viagem. Conclusão: - Eu não tenho palavras para descrever o quão incrível foi essa viagem! E eu sei que tudo foi maravilhoso porque tivemos uma equipe excelente (motoristas, cozinheiros, guias locais) e o melhor guia da Etiópia! Indico muito o Mohammed e equipe Jebena.

We planned with Jebena our whole trip around Ethiopia, from north to south- I must say we didn’t have to worry about anything, everything went really smooth with flights, hotels, experiences, guides, and we constantly had the feeling we were surrounded by people who were really caring for us. Not only that, but everyone was always ready to answer questions, and was local to the area. I can only recommend contacting Jebena for a trip to Ethiopia, it was the best decision we made! We left Ethiopia with amazing memories, and a friend!

Eu e meu marido normalmente viajamos por conta própria, mas na Etiópia isso é inviável, principalmente em algumas regiões. Recebemos indicação do Mohammed por amigos, e não poderíamos ter ficado mais satisfeitos. Ao mesmo tempo que tudo foi muito organizado e sob controle, ele nos deu liberdade e nos ajudou a ter uma experiência autêntica - provando comidas locais quando mostramos esse desejo, fazendo quantas paradas pra café quiséssemos, permitindo a troca com as pessoas e nos mostrando as particularidades de cada região. Ele trabalha com turismo há mais de 10 anos, e parece que conhece em cada região os melhores motoristas, melhores guias locais e melhores lugares pra comer (seja comida local raiz, pra experimentar de tudo, seja comidinha mais confort pra quando tiver cansado de injeera haha). Infelizmente, não tivemos tempo para conhecer toda a Etiópia, mas isso só nos dá motivos para voltar e explorar o resto desse país incrível com o Mohammed. Só temos a agradecer a ele que além de excelente guia, se tornou um amigo pra vida.

Took 2 Addis City tours with Mohammed, one for myself and one with family who came to visit while I was living there. Mohammed has so much knowledge of the city, its landmarks and attractions as well as the history of Ethiopia. Made the tour very interesting and engaging. I think the Second time around was even better, as there is so much to see and learn. Company rules stopped me from touring further afield. This will still happen in the future and I will be definitely using Jebena as my tour company of choice.
