Travelling from Gauteng to St Lucia KZN. On the road we were looking for a place to have breakfast. And came across The Yardt and what a lovely surprise this quaint place was. We had a delicious breakfast. Bought some homemade banting bread and some keepsakes. We would have lingered longer if we had the time.

We enjoyed our visit. We only had something to drink. Great variety of milkshakes. My wife enjoyed the turkish delight flavour. I enjoyed the homemade lemonade. Suzanne en Frank were lovely hosts. I will visit again to try their foon.

Enchanting garden and run by the sweetest of people. We really enjoyed our stay.

Such a beautiful place, the owner is super friendly. Guesthouse, restaurant, tea garden, place for kiddies to play, even a little curio gift shoppe.. stunning . Definitely be back.

I had to plan my sister's baby shower while in Joburg, I was worried of how difficult it would be having to coordinate this but Suzanne just took all the stress away. Planning and coordinating the baby shower went so well and when the day finally came Suzanne's hospitality was amazing. The guest and I truly had a great time, the venue was exactly what I was looking for and she created the perfect ambiance. I loved how we could have a private space and it felt like home. The food was amazing and exceeded my expectation and I just could not stop taking pictures of the beautiful venue. Not even forgetting the items she sells in her store, I need to come back for some plates there. Thank you Suzanne for making the day even more special, hope to be back soon 🙂 for a bridal shower maybe haha. The Yardt is an absolute gem!

From shopping to lunch or staying over this is a nice spot do do it from. Lovely play area to keep young kids busy while mom is having a tea with friends

Did not stay there, ordered a meal. Food was delicious, service great and very friendly. Feel free to browse their antique furniture it is well worth it.

Suzanne and Frank are wonderful hosts going out of their way to make you feel comfortable and welcome. Save, clean rooms and a wonderful breakfast.

We had a light brunch. Tasty with good coffee and spent time chatting with the owners. A very pleasant visit.

The host is very friendly and lovelly person. However on waking up it was quite evident that no breakfast was being served. The bed is old worn and very uncomfortable.

Thank you, Suzanne and your lovely staff, for making my father's 70th birthday such a beautiful and memorable experience. The food was extremely delicious. The main course of Mediterranean vegetables, crispy potatoes and rack of lamb was delicious. And the highlight was definitely the hummingbird cake. The table and decorations were really classy and elegant, and it made the experience even more inviting. Your staff was also really sweet and helpful, and I commend them on their hospitality. Suzanne, thank you for being so kind to allow me to use your power outlets, and wifi so that I was able to display my siblings onscreen; so that they too could share in the celebrations as well. I appreciate you being so willing to help me out and allowing me to go a bit overboard. But I know my father appreciated having all his kids there in some way.

Very nice atmosphere and great for small party or celebration. The host could come across strong and a little invading, but very sweet. Nice food too!
