The views are magnificent, I understand how the name came about. As far as the eye can see the view does not end. A nice little walking trail trough a rain forest to even more view, a have to see.

Well looked after walking trails and facilities. Secure parking. A nominal entrance fee is charged, cards are accepted. There are a number of view sites offering endless views of the lowveld. There is a walking trail through a beautiful forest ending at a view site. There are curios for sale in the parking area.

On our visit we found a line of people almost reaching into the main road. The personnel were dragging their feet and not making any attempt to fasten the work pace. The ablution facilities were not cleaned properly and had a bad smell to it. The wash basins were dirty and there was no hand soap in the dispenser. The ablution facilities and the surrounding area also need serious upgrading and maintenance. Some of the wood planks on the built up pathways are rotten and need to be replaced. The view from the different view points however are still unbeatable and breathtaking. It is high time that they step up their game by cleaning and maintaining the ablutions and doing maintenance to the outside of the buildings and surrounding areas around the parking area. This is also my opinion on the Pinnacle that looks like a filthy run down picnic site. What a shame. No value for money.

Amazing views! It's such a sight to be able to see so far into the distance as well as notice other towns. They say as it gets darker, one can even see Maputo in Mozambique, not to mention the Kruger National Park as well. This is a must see for any tourist in SA. It is a popular destination but it is such for a reason, the park security and staff are so friendly as well. Theres also a beautiful hike that is not too demanding that takes you to another beautiful outlook. Enjoy!

Atemberaubende Aussicht.

You need to walk through the 'rain forest' to get the best view. Very busy, and obviously still a big tourist attraction, and they didn't charge an entry fee when we were there decades ago. But always worth a stop on route, hopefully on a clear day.

Great place to visit but not spiritual as i thought. Be ready to incline those steps to go up to get a better view of God's window. Is a breath taking adventure to see. No regrets, really loved it.

Nature’s beauty… still one of my best favourite places to visit- this time i took a walk up the rainforest and the view up there is AMAZING!!! Small entry fee of about R20pp but the view is way worth more than that… Highly recommended stop! Also quite a few other attractions and activities to do in the area!

Beautiful scenery from the various viewpoints on the walk. You should definitely go all the way via the rainforest trail. The hike is easy and it'll take you 15-20 minutes at a good pace to get up to the very top.

What an amazing experience. Staff and even the visitors are all happy. Just make sure you wear comfortable takkies and if you not fit like me take an energy drink for the long walk to The Window. It's a must see place 👌👌👌👌👌👌

The best view comes from the hardest climb. And boy the climb to the top was so tiring! There was a point I wasn't sure if I was ever going to get to the top😂 I feel like physically you need to be in your best shape at the steps to get to the top made the experience less enjoyable. Time and again I had to sit down and catch my breath before trying to get to the top. The views on the top was nice though.

Good walk if you go through the forest to the top. The views are stunning and will help you to appreciate His handiwork. The facilities were clean albeit needing a little updating. Viewing areas could do with some maintenance.

A very nice drive, steadily climbing until you reach the (paid) parking. Plenty of places to view the incredible valley. Being so wide / vast, the view is almost underwhelming - but there s not too many places in the world where you can look down this far without any obstruction. Worth the visit at least once!

This place will make you realize the. wonders of God's creation. A beautiful view I've ever experienced but You need to walk through the rainforest to get the best view. The view from the different view points are still unbeatable and breathtaking. God did something amazing. Nature's Beauty.

Fantastic views, very popular. Not much to do but stop at various spots to observe the same view. During peak time, its to busy to actually take it all in.

I think this is low-key hiking to see the beauty that God created. It was amazing seeing all those views and also stretching. The following day I was so tired but I enjoyed every bit of it

As I approached the famous viewpoint, my anticipation grew, and as I stood on the edge, I was left speechless by the breathtaking panoramic views that stretched endlessly before me. Whether you are a nature enthusiast, a photography lover, or simply seeking a serene escape from the hustle and bustle of daily life, God's Window is an absolute must-visit destination. It is a testament to the natural wonders that this world has to offer, and it will leave you with a renewed appreciation for the beauty of our planet.

There is a short walk up a steep flight of stairs......but one you get to the top the view is breathtaking. Absolutely amazing........and if you alone up there it's so silent you can hear your ears ring.

It is what it is. I don't care for the stalls outside the entrance. The 4 stars is for the view and the fact that I could take my Jack Russel with me. He had a blast.

Bring along your stamina for walking in the rain forest, at the top you get to have beautiful view of the area. Try to avoid it on misty days as you won't see anything. It's a but of an incline with steps, you need to take your time.

It is a great view, but was very busy. You need to have cash on hand during loadshedding when card pay point don't work

Haven't paid a visit for quite some years. Family enjoyed the trip as well as the experience of visiting this tourist attraction. Got a good hike in followed by great views & atmosphere.

  • 4/5 Nico S. 2 months ago on Google New
It was immediately clear from the waiting time to get into the car park, and the fact that there was hardly any parking, that this is one of the most popular stops on the Panorama Route. The payment system they have in place is laughable, with only one person tending to all visitors, and a card machine that is ridiculously slow due to inadequate signal. Once inside, the short walk to the viewing point offers a number of beautiful views of the valley below. The view from the top is quite spectacular, and therefore was worth the hassle to get in. I would suggest however going late afternoon, or very early morning to avoid the throng of visitors and annoying wait to get in.

  • 5/5 Petrus van der w. 10 months ago on Google
If I could stand and stare at that vista for my entire visit to the area, I suspect I would. The view is unparalleled, and I am sure that on a clear day you probably could see forever. The climb up to God's Window can be a bit taxing but it is worth the effort. Parking is safe and paths and stairways are well maintained. It is also nice to note that South African citizens are encouraged to visit by way of a small discount for SA citizens.

Worth the million stairs and hike, the views are breathtaking, and the serenity that comes with the accomplishment feeling you get when you're on the top,we were lucky the weather was great,it may be better to avoid the weekend it tends to get too touristy

  • 5/5 Philisile N. 1 year ago on Google
Not the best weather, but if you have a picture of how the window looks like. Then you definitely will see it through the mist. We met a few new friends 😅😂🤣

The views are spectacular, and the greenery is amazing. One window is a bit cluttered with the bushy plant but still amazing.

Often times when you need a closer conversation with your Creator you need to make the effort to get closer to Him. An amazing site to visit for a proper scenery of Gods view outside his window.

  • 3/5 John H. 2 years ago on Google
God's Window always inspires. The viewing platforms & access facilities are good. However 2 issues marred this visit: 1) The deplorable behaviour adopted by members of the public of tying Covid masks onto the safety railings on 2 of the viewing platforms. They're left there by site officials. Should be prohibited. It's disgusting & unsightly. 2) No facility on sight to purchase refreshments. The caravans outside the facility overcharge visitors for refreshments. R20 for water costing R5. That's blatant abuse of visitors local & International.

Always been an amazing experience coming here, can’t leave Mpumalanga without coming here. It may feel like a long walk uphill for some so make sure you are in the most comfortable clothing and most importantly shoes. A lot of stairs and climbing of rocks especially if you want to get the best view.

  • 4/5 Napo M. 2 years ago on Google
♥️♥️ beautiful experience lovely walk very ideal for hiking lovers. My recommendations is have taps or water stations as we walk up to rain forest because wow it's a long walk uphill

  • 3/5 Shireen M. 2 years ago on Google
No one's fault but the weather. Overcast. No views at all. Lovely gentle walk up. Toilets were in good condition. Out dated but functional. Lovely team members too. Will have to go back. Hopefully the window is cleaned and we can see something then 😉

  • 3/5 Christine Z. 1 year ago on Google
The nature experience is excellent as always. Very busy with tourists and school groups alike. Noise level from some tourists were unacceptable. Facilities not up to scratch especially with the fact that you pay an entrance fee per person to access the area.

  • 3/5 Jayden B. 11 months ago on Google
I was a bit underwhelmed with the actual "gods window" section as it was just a small lookout point onto a view that wasn't the most magnificent that I've seen this side... the view definately got better the higher up you walked but the walk is not the faint hearted. It was quite amusing though to watch people struggle up the stairs and regularly take breaks with sweat pouring down their faces. There are a lot of steps so be prepared to walk and feel the burn and wear the correct shoes. You have options to go through the rainforest which I thoroughly enjoyed as it was cool and green and enchanting. You may need to move out the way if people are coming back in the opposite direction but all in all the view at the top is well worth the walk.

  • 4/5 Linda S. 1 year ago on Google
Amazing views especially on clear days. The entrance fees are affordable. It is a walk up but definitely worth it for such a captivating view. You can see mozambique on clear days. There was unfortunately alot of littering when we visited. Covid masks tied to the fence which is disappointing & discussing.

I would recommend this place, best place to be in touch with mother nature and relax your mind. I would recommend going in the morning as it is a bit strainer going up hill you need to be ready for the climb. Be careful on your way there as the place is very misty, making it very difficult to see the roads. To see the best of the place go during summer or spring time

  • 5/5 Marsha R. 1 year ago on Google
This is a lovely view, though perhaps not as spectacular as the name had led me to believe. There are excellent trails helping to disperse the crowds of visitors, but don’t expect to have a quiet, solitary encounter with nature unless you arrive very early!

  • 5/5 Leora H. 9 months ago on Google
One of South Africa's best kept secrets. Beautiful walk leading through the Blyde Rover Canyon Nature Reserve through to breathtaking viewpoints. Take your time walking. Bins provided along the way though there was some litter in the bushes here and there. Lots of curios and local gifting available at the bottom by the parking area. Toilets are there too, however I didn't go in so can't comment on the cleanliness etc. Entrance fee is R25 for SA citizen adults and free for kids under 6. Kids over 6 are R16 each. This place will help you find whatever it is you have been seeking.

  • 5/5 Dr. M. 10 months ago on Google
God's Window, numerous fantastic walks from the parking area a very steep stepped footpath along the edge of the escarpment leads to the actual view points. For the best lookout points and exotic forest plants, steer away from the crowds and hike up into the clouds and the misty Rain Forest. It is very humid and an extremely steep. Time to test how fit tou are. Cool I love it🇿🇦

  • 5/5 Natasha S. 1 year ago on Google
Beautiful short hike with mountain view pit stops along the way. The entire walk is 10 minutes in total and is not too strenuous. When you reach the top it is absolutely breath-taking and apparently at night you can see the Mozambique city lights. Along the way there are benches to sit and take a breather and you're allow to leave locks or anything on the fences as a memorial. Most beautiful and serene hike. It definitely is God's window.

Beautiful, peaceful. Even surrounded by clouds didn't ruin it. We could not see a view because the clouds were very low but amazing nonetheless. Will definitely be returning hopefully without the clouds x

Scenic views but brace yourself for the climb. It's worth every breath especially getting to the canyons. The downwards walk is very easy.buf the take away are the views mist hovering over the mountains and clearing for a split second for a picturesque moment
