Absolutely shocking food/ service and overall feeling of being a inconvenience to the people working there. Forget about any of the shocking over heated under filled pies and panini on offer, go across the road to the mug and bean to enjoy something better than what on offer here. The plastic containers and forks aren’t quite environmentally considerate. Never to return over rated and over priced.

Beautiful, clean and friendly service restaurant. Staff are very well mannered with the food and prices being exceptional. Stunning views while you eat, very clean bathrooms and kids friendly.

Best Stop for your road trip. They do have accommodation as well, nice restaurant, farm stall, Fuel station, Seattle Coffee, Trout Pies, other trout food products. You can even feed the fishes. Fun for kids.

We have stopped here many times on the way to the Lowveld, or the way home. We both had the specialty from the region: trout pancake and trout pie. Both dishes were delicious! The salad choice that came with it, unfortunately did not have a dressing, which is why we gave Milly’s 4 stars this time. The craft beer was also very special and priced well.

Great place to stop for a quiet but delicious meal. The staff is a mixed bag, some really quite friendly, others a little indifferent. Can get pretty full on busy weekends, but the trout pie and the berry cheesecake are worth the wait! Pro tip: ask for the specials.

Visiting Milly's is always a must when we in the area or passing through and they do not disappoint. Food was amazing as always and the star dish remains the trout pie.

I loved the roosterkoek with salmon and cream cheese. Really tasty. The coffee milkshake was excellent. Restuarant was very busy, but we did not have to wait long for our table. The frontline waiter was an excellent host while we waited. Our waitress was great too. The padstall has a huge variety of gifts and delicious jams etc to buy. So much to choose, range for all ages and preferences.

A really good food-stop on the N4 - a nice change from the usual fast food outlets. Plenty of trout-based options on the menu with some classic and vegetarian options too. Really nice views over the trout lake. Service was prompt, food presented nicely and tasty! Would highly recommend.

I had the trout pie which was absolutely delicious and the Berry cheesecake that I literally have not stopped thinking about, it was absolutely marvellous! We got our food very quickly and our waiter was OK but seemed a bit busy and distracted. I love the farm stall on the side as it has got all sorts of confections and the workers there were lovely. All in all, I would highly recommend!

Such a lovely place to stop while traveling. Very clean. Has a nice restaurant and amazing views of the lake. Really nice place to stop over and also has accommodation if needed. Will definitely make this my regular stop when traveling this route.

At very best average food. Discretion on the menu is trout fillet, end up being a few cooked trout ribbons. Cost more than it should. Service friendly and efficient.

Can't complain. A must stop on the way to the Kruger. The trout pie is a must. So relaxing to look out onto the dam and see the fish jumping and nature at it's best. Wide variety of food to choose from and lovely coffee to have with big mugs!

Food was so so, the trout pie wasn't that great but the vegan food was apparently good. Coffee was bad so I'd refer the nearby coffee shop instead. Service was also so so with a wrong order but corrected quickly. The vibe of the place is very nice with a trout dam surrounding the restaurant and you can apparently buy food for them.

Love the new upgrades with all the safety features for cars arriving and leaving the garage. And our Favourite Seattle coffee is there to keep us going. 🧋

The food was fresh and delicious. We tried a local dish Bobotie for the first time. It was yam! The waitress was super friendly and polite. Highly recommend.

Nice restaurant with many food options, including the famous trout pie. Some outside seats, with great view over the lake.

Loved the view over the lake, their food was nothing to write home about though

Quaint little restaurant with a great view of the trout dam through the giant glass windows. The food was tasty and prices were extremely reasonable. A great halfway stop if you're on your way to another destination. There is also a nice little store next door where you can buy fresh trout, farm foods, assorted necessities and souvenirs.

Milly's is a well-known spot on the N4 close to Machado Toll Plaza that is worth a stop. It has everything you need from a fuel station, various fast food outlets, a restaurant and a Trout Store which has a wide variety of items available for purchase (I can highly recommend you try their rusks). Whether you want to relax a bit at the restaurant or just make a quick pit-stop to stretch your legs and visit the trout store, this is a must-visit.

Good quality food that tasted fresh and freshly prepared. The portion size on the trout was smaller than expected, which was disappointing considering it's their claim-to-fame. The view over the lake makes for a tranquil dining experience

A scenic view in a restaurant with friendly staff but average tasting food. We tried the trout fillets and they’re amazing, the chicken is halal ( they showed us the packaging) but not so tasty. You can feed the fish in the lake while you wait for your order.

A beautiful place with scenic views of the dam. Honestly enjoyed their food and tranquil atmosphere. I've been coming here for quite some time and the service is always outstanding. The food is freshly prepared and delicious. Definitely recommend this place 👌.
