We did the graffiti tour with Ayanda and had a great experience. We not only learned a lot about the graffiti, street art and the artists we also got a great history lesson about Joburg and the Maboneng Precinct. Thanks for an excellent tour!!!

Loved our experience with City Skate tours! My friend and I had 0 experience with skateboarding but they gave us all the protective gear and gave us a short lesson and we quickly got the hang of it! Mike was awesome, patient, and knowledgeable. It was such a cool way to explore JoBurg. 100 percent recommend these guys for whatever tour you are interested in! They were also flexible with working with us and easy to communicate with when we had to reschedule for some rainy weather.

We spent an entire month in South Africa and the tour was certainly one of the highlights of the entire trip. Not only we saw the city in a way that otherwise would not have been possible, but we also picked up a new found love for skate boarding. The entire experience was packed with firsts and a multitude of intense emotions - the reason why I travel. Cherry on top, Ayanda is amazing and we even met up on a couple of occasions outside the tour later on our trip. My advise - ignore any hesitations you might have and just do it.

Ayanda showed me the coolest streets in Joburg. Ayanda is a smart, warm and loving person who knows everything you need to know about Joburg. The first day we arrived to the city, me and my boyfriend booked a walk, not a skate tour. Seriously, this tour shaped the rest of our time here in Joburg; we met so many cool people and places. Our memories from Joburg wouldn’t be the same if we haven’t met Ayanda ❤️

Had such a cool experience with Ayanda and Tim checking skating through Joburg and checking out the incredible graffiti and street art. The tour was well thought out, and the guys are super knowledagble about the city and the graffiti community. Highly recommended!

We did the graffiti tour with my family coming from France. The tour was extremely informative and Ayanda was an amazing host, adapting the tour to the needs of a large family with small kids. It felt safe while seeing another side of the city and getting such a great insight in the graffiti culture. I learned so much on this tour, I cannot recommend it enough! Go and book immediately, you will not regret it.

Adored going on this tour! Super informative- Ayanda was knowledgeable and easy to engage with. Completely opened up my perspective of the City and specifically Maboneng. Was a great tour to do as a day trip and then follow the evening up with a cultural event in the area (we watched a theatre production and the context of the tour really adds to the experience)

We had a great time skate touring with Ayanda! He is very knowledgeable and fun. We explored the vibrant neighborhoods of Maboneng, Jewel City, and New Doornfontein, and learned about their unique history and evolution. Along the way, we were blown away by the incredible graffiti art that adorns the streets. Skate touring is a great way to see the city!

Ayanda took us on a fantastic tour, tailored around our interests, taking in much of Johannesburg’s central high-rise district. He’s great on local knowledge and detail. There’s a lot of social and economic and political history to cover as you go past the city’s courts and grand civic buildings, as well as clubs and clubs and drinking holes, and Ayanda was also v knowledgeable about architecture (which is v dramatic — lots of art deco blocks) and the current revival of the city centre. This revival is very evident: the CBD is much cleaner and feels much safer now than even a few years ago. This part of Joburg is infinitely more interesting than Sandton or Rosebank — seeing it with someone knowledgeable and local is a must if you’re visiting Joburg. Recommend.

I can’t recommend these tours enough. I’ve done many over the years and the guides are so knowledgeable about inner city Jozi and their passion is contagious. The skateboarding tours are fun and accessible for absolute beginners and clumsy people like me. If you’re a tourist or a JHB local, you will learn and love new things about our incredible city.

I found this place by chance when my roommate mentioned it and the lights in my head just went off because I was looking for an adventure to take my partner on and this was it. The absolute joy he experienced along with the fun we had and the things we got to see and learn about was mind blowing. Our tour guide, Ayanda was honestly a gift himself. We can not wait to go back and Skate some more around Johannesburg with him. Learning about inner Johannesburg is something everybody should do in order to experience Johannesburg in it's raw form. We had the pleasure of hanging out with Ayanda this past weekend on the Braamfontein Street Art & Graffiti Tour. Just seeing and experiencing street art in some shape or form at every turn was really incredible. This tour gives you insight on the art, the artists and the history of street art within Braam. Our stops at 99 Juta and the play ground market where the highlight of the tour for me. I'm so glad I got to experience the City in this way. Thanks again Ayanda x

What an amazing experience. The skate session was amazing, but what stood out the most to me was the rich history of the city that Ayanda and Mike enlightened us about as we skated across the city. Can I have Ayanda and Mike skate tour me in every city I visit? Definitely doing it again when I'm in the city again 🔥

Took my younger cousins on this as an interesting way to explore Johannesburg and I’d really recommend! Ayanda was very informative about the culture of the city. He was also a patient teacher and made sure we all felt comfortable on our boards before we set off.

I had fun with my friends. The tour guides know the city well. I wish I can do this every month. This is a nice tour for someone who wants to experience Johannesburg and learn a bit of history for some of the old buildings.
