This place was awesome! Great food for a cheep price. The food tastes like home and isn't overly greasy. The grits were buttery and needed no extra salt. The country fried steak with gravy melted in your mouth. All this combined with a small old diner vibe makes this place worth going to again and again.

So I ordered a ham, grilled onions and cheese omelet with home fries and toast, and that is was SLAMMIN!!! The ham was real country ham, the onions were grilled to perfection and the cheese topped it off...The home fries were seasoned great and cooked just right!! I can't wait til the next trip!!!β™‘β™‘

We have eaten here several times. It is now our go to place to eat breakfast and lunch. Food is delicious!! You get alot of food- portion size is big. Staff is always nice!! Locally owned. Real home town feeling. Urge you all to go. Thank you.

The food is good. There was a bit of a wait when we went might have been understaffed but still worth the wait. The staff was nice

Perfect little Mom and Pop place, very personable. We were seated promptly, ordered and food came out hot. Great little place if you are just driving around.

A nice little diner to enjoy some great home cooked food. Very reasonably priced as well. The plate in the photo was a mere $10.22!

I came here for the home fries, and got exactly what I was looking for! Super friendly staff and the food came out fast. If your looking for leather seats and a red carpet, this isn't your place. If your looking for a local diner, with a solid breakfast this is a great spot.

Finally got a chance to stop in the diner and was not disappointed. Friendly fast service, the manager even came by our table just to see how we were doing. I absolutely loved the home fries! They also offer a 15%military discount. Will patronize again.

Food was excellent..my husband and I kind of stopped here on a whim and so glad we did. We both ordered the breakfast bowls and they were so good. Give this place a try, it was wonderful

Great little diner, fantastic pancakes. We prefer breakfast to lunch here. Out of the way so more like a local in the know spot. Did I mention the pancakes are excellent?

The people and service was excellent. The food was delicious, we had breakfast and lunch orders, and no one had a complaint. The prices are very reasonable, and you get a lot for the price.

Good cheap food. Small town, hole in the wall type atmosphere, seat yourself attitude. Not a bad place and would go again.

Food was outstanding and came out quick! Diner itself was quaint and very country feeling. The other patrons were all older and adorable. You could tell most were the "regulars." My only complaint for giving it 3 stars is that it was so damn HOT in the resturaunt. From the time we stepped in, to the time we left, it was in the low 80's the entire time. It was just a bit too...uncomfortable.

My team goes here occasionally for breakfast. The food has always been good and the staff great .. but as of late they’re out of stock for good items on the menu and what food was available seemed like yesterdays throwaway. Edit* sorry to hear about the recent health issues and struggle that has put on the diner! I’m certain we will be back to support πŸ˜€

Came into this place after hearing great reviews from friends and I have to say that I am quite disappointed with not only the food but the service. While we were eating our very bland food the waitress and manager were talking about their sister or the other owner and just talking bad about people while standing right next to our table.

Small little spot for breakfast. Not really for big groups. The pancakes are cooked on a really old, well seasoned griddle which makes the pancakes fluffy up well and have crispy edges. Great for small to average sized meal. Nice spot to visit to try out. Small business with a few staff on hand. Be respectful and they will be in return.

Food cold and made wrong when I asked them to remake to the way I ordered they got mad and made me feel like I did something wrong. All tables were dirty and the guests helped clean them, another couple waited 15 minutes for clean utensils to eat with. Will never eat here again!!!

Plenty of food for the price. Friendly service and hot coffee. Not the prettiest place out ther but I'd rather the food be good than be pretty and taste terrible.

First time in Hampton and was told about this little jem. Thank you for the best known secret in town! Good food, great service.

Ordered 2 breakfast meals, they came to us cold. The scrambled eggs were bad, my kids refused to eat them. My potatoes and grits were either microwaved or old, it's pretty bad at King's Diner. We ordered 3 drinks and were never offered straws. The customer service and atmosphere there was not inviting at all. We won't be going back. I tipped $8 dollars for $30 meal because I believe in supporting waitresses and local spots.

Should have known when i seen the boat behind the restaurant that said "dirty white boys" exactly what it was. The napkins the waitress sat down were dirty we got coffee no creamer at all for the coffee i got biscuits and gravy with home fries i found hair in both plates. The wall unit AC has been leaking causing major water damage to the wall. If thats what you can see i can only imagine what the kitchen looks like. When my wife told the waitress she acted like it happens all the time and gave us a free meal on a index card. I wouldn't go back here if i was getting paid to eat. Wait untill lunch time and eat next door trust me

Food was excellent (highly recommend the breakfast bowl! I loved the chicken). However food took forever, especially given how slow it was at the time.
