Great location it is close to many shops and restaurants. Parking lot is big and shared with nearby stores. Everyone works on trying to better themselves and the atmosphere feels competitive. There is enough of equipment for all types of workouts. The staff is courteous, they clean equipment, although they can work on cleaning the men’s bathroom more often.

Edit: Will be cancelling my membership after today. Not only are they out of paper towels everytime I come in. Today I went to use the restroom and there was no toilet paper in ANY of the stalls. I used the restroom before I realized and had to call the front desk to bring me toilet paper. There were no female employees so they asked a member to do it. I sat on the toilet for so long and no one came. I had no way of cleaning myself after using the restroom. Truly horribly experience! Original:This location is always so packed you can't do anything! Either all the machines are taken or there are so many people standing around that you don't have room to use the free weights. The children they allow in here for free sit on their phones and hog everything.

Good location and user-friendly equipment. However. You guys NEED more squat racks!! This location is not adapted to the amount of people coming in, especially in the evening. We can’t work out in the early evenings because of the crowds of people. It’s very hard to get on any equipment that you want. Additionally, lots of equipment will break or go out of service and it takes the staff a while to address it. It makes it even harder since there’s not enough equipment for the amount of people anyways.

"If I could give this gym no stars, I would. Although the location is convenient, numerous pieces of equipment have been broken for weeks at a time, and the management doesn't seem to prioritize repairs. Even basic amenities like water fountains are not functioning properly. It's frustrating to pay for a membership but not have access to essential workout equipment. I hope they improve their maintenance and repair policies soon

This my first time here. The customer service at this location is really great. They took the time to give me and my wife a tour around the gym and answer our questions. I would definitely recommend getting the PF Black membership if you travel a lot or if you plan on bringing a friend to workout with you. The PF Black membership comes with more benefits and gym access, which I'm sure you will appreciate. I definitely recommend this gym for anyone who's interested in starting to go to the gym.

Crowd meter seems wrong, lower than it is. Gym is packed 9a-2p weekdays, either get up earlier or go after 8pm. Lots of treadmills and bikes but not enough of anything else. For the demand, it should’ve been a 2 story PF. I haven’t been able to do anything but the treadmill/bike and sometimes the 30 min area. Disappointing as I expected something like my old PF. It’s clean, people are nice, but it’s almost pointless to go if you can’t get on anything. I’m going to start coming at night.

The place is comfortable, kind staff, with excellent equipment for beginners and toners. Dry weights are limited. The only negative is the constant walking back and forth to get paper towels and disinfectant to clean the equipment after each use. I visited Lafayette Indiana Planet Fitness which gives each client a personal disinfectant spray bottle for cleaning machines which is to be returned on the refill shelf upon departure. I loved it. Wish every franchise would follow suit with the spray bothles.

One of the bigger Planet Fitness locations I've visited in thr past few months. I appreciate the amount of equipment and weights they have here. The trainers work hard here, always willing to help and provide one-on-one instructions. I will return, some day.

Was down in Yorktown visiting with my girlfriend family. This location is ok. Not like my home gym. This gym is to small for this location. So many people come here it's impossible to have a good workout. Plus all the equipment was broken which made it worst. Sucks I always like planet fitness but this location needs to either move or build a bigger location

The staff was very friendly and helpful with any and all questions. The equipment was always clean and even had instructions on how to use properly. Overall great environment will keep my membership.

Me being new to going to the gym it seems to be a nice facility. The equipment is easy to figure out how to use. The staff seems to be really nice.

Variety of equipment, clean spaces, and plenty of gym-goers around to ask for help should you need It. My husband and I have the basic membership, and is perfect for what we need. Place is horrible. Bathrooms are gross. As is the equipment. 30 minute circuit is a complete joke!! It's nothing but a pitstop for people to rest and lounge on machines while texting and always has garbage overflow. Staff do nothing and never come out from behind the front desk. God forbid you need assistance with something. You can refer to the app for everything, they'll tell you that. they're not relevant and neither are you. They don't want to help you. And the zero commitment is 💯 bull!

Great staff, amazing management, clean gym, and friendly atmosphere. When Machines break it takes about 3-4 weeks to fix. Which for a corporation of this size is way to long to be fighting over machines. Owner reached out which was nice, and finally someone from Corporate found a mechanic to come fix the machines. I love coming to this gym, all my gym buddies are here. Thanks for finally fixing the limited LEG equipment, appreciated. Will post again here if #machinegate happens again.

I absolutely adore this location. It is always clean. The equipment is extremely clean. I love how excited and bubbly the staff are. They have great advice on exercises. They also maintain a great vibe and environment. Its been great.

Young lady that ran the front counter at 5:30 AM 10/14/2023 was a superstar. She was great at multitasking, helping each and every customer providing superb customer service, and cleaning floors and equipment at the same time, a one person superstar! Haven’t been there in over a year and my first visit back. I was blown away on how much better the customer service is. I hope management and executives up above appreciate this person. She Is a one person superstar that’s on the front line and the image of their Business.

I appreciated that when I sprained my ankle on an eliptical (my own fault), there was a worker named Abby, who went above and beyond to help me out, by wrapping my foot, helping me get my stuff, offering to help me get to my ride, and even using her own money to pay for a cold drink to press against my ankle. She has made a lasting impression with her kindness and when I recover, I cant wait to go back.

I am writing this five stars based on the cost to value. Nothing fancy. No pool, no sauna. At 10 bucks a month. Hard to beat. There is an additional fee once a year in February That brings the annual cost to $200 still hard to beat for a public gym. No long-term obligation either. I only tend to go about once or twice a week to do certain exercises that my setup at home just does not work well for. I have the ability to go early early in the morning so there isn’t much of a crowd. Their app gives an estimate of how busy it currently is. Equipment is reasonably well-maintained. Definitely no frills. It’s open 24 x 7 except for major holidays. not very crowded when I arrive about 4 AM, but it is picking up a bit by 530 or six when I leave. I have been a member for well over a decade. I literally joined prior to their actual opening. They just had the carpet down and a few pieces of equipment were being installed. I recently looked at some other local gyms, and I just could not justify nearly 10 times the cost because I am able to go early in the morning to avoid the crowds

7:00 a.m. is a great time to get in a workout! I was able to get in 30 minutes on the treadmill before and after lifting weights.

Clean facility, excellent variety of equipment and a well designed layout. I like the small storage lockers in the lobby for those small items. However, the showers could use a separate dressing area instead of exiting the shower in direct view of the locker room.

I love everything about this location . The staff are great , the other gym goers are cool . The layout is comfortable. Definitely going to make this my home gym .

This place is phenomenal. Every single person on staff is friendly and helpful. Stephanie is phenomenal. Its clean, peaceful and there are never any issues.

I went to this establishment on a trip. For US$20.00 I got unlimited access for a 24 hr period (open 24/7). The gym has a vast collection a cardio and weights. It was clean and the staff was helpful and friendly.

This is a great 24-hour Planet Fitness. It's always a pleasure to travel to Newport News because I know that the gym is open when I have the time to exercise. The gym is clean. The staff is nice.

Planet Fitness is a great place to come workout and enjoy the experience with no pressure. The staff are super friendly and it’s very clean. I love to go tanning then do my workout routine. Definitely the gym you want to join!

I love they have plenty of machines no matter the crowd and it is always clean.

Friendly staff, always helpful. I would ask that the bathrooms, Black Card Spa areas and some of the equipment is cleaned a bit more often in a day. Even though members are asked to clean equipment they need a little more attention. The single and double ropes for the cables need to be replaced.

My muscles get worn-out as a painter on his feet all day. So working for 1st Class Painters LLC is how I ended up appreciating planet fitness. Although it is hard to concentrate like i do at work because no one is there. Because at planet fitness there are so many women it probably is better for you to stay home if you do not have the discipline. They are number one for having everything you need to stay alive and in shape with healthcas the agenda on a daily basis. They even have a smoothie shop right next door at every location i have seen .

Really nice place to do workouts and get out. The staff is super friendly. Pf have alot of various equipment to give my body a full workout.

Planet Fitness really is a great bang for your buck, so no complaints from me in terms of the price. The staff is overall professional and friendly, but there are a few that are not professional at all. Luckily they are not the majority. My biggest complaint is the 30-minute circuit training room, which is supposed to ONLY be used for that purpose. People go in there and hijack the machines and have no intentions to rotate when the light turns red. It's very frustrating when trying to complete a circuit but can't. I complained to the manager last week and he sent a staff member to monitor the room. Once he saw that people were not using it properly by not rotating, guess what he did...NOTHING! What's the point of all the signs and/or rules of the gym or anywhere for that matter, if they aren't going to be enforced. It's very frustrating. I limit my days per week at this location because the staff is so laxed. Members can essentially do whatever they want.
