Wow, this is a hidden treasure. The food is out of this world. Seafood, I'm a lover of seafood and they know how to cook it. Tender like pasta on the bite. I'm reluctant to post this in fear they will always be booked full and not be able to get a seat. Being front NY and eating at a lot of great places. This Italian restaurant in CT is tops! I'll be back. Just be aware that the parking is limited. Make sure you come early to be a spot parking and at the table. If you're coming as a group, please share a ride with others, so the rest of us can also enjoy a table. 😘🤌

Gisella's is by far the best restaurant in Danbury. We have been going there for years and we are always treated well. Today we had a special meal prepared by Chef Ricardo and a delicious dessert made by Wendy. They never disappoint. If you haven't had a chance to stop in for lunch or dinner I highly suggest you do soon. Great food, great atmosphere and great staff. We either eat in or get take out and we are always treated like family.

Giselle's has got to be one of the very best restaurants in Danbury. I probably shouldn't post this because I'd like to keep this secret place all to myself. I'm a Bronx girl and I feel like I'm at Arthur Avenue having a wonderful dinner in one of my favorite places. The prices at Giisella's are reasonable and the portions are generous. The staff is as accommodating as can be. Gisela the owner is a lovely woman with her husband who is the chef so you know that they make certain everything is top-notch quality.

Fantastic authentic Italian food , little gem in Danbury ...finally good tasting well seasoned cooked with love Italian food...generous portions and reasonable priced. Busy waitstaff may need a little help our waiter was taking care of all tables on the floor, none the less with a little patience good food good turnout. Almost didn’t want to give away this little gem in town.

The food at Gisella's is always consistently good. I was torn between the Shrimp Parm and Calamari. Asked Michelle, Who handled our table. Got the Calamari based on her recommendation and it was awesome. So was the Tiramisu.

The place looks fancy. The food is great. I got penne al a vodka. The prices are very fair based on the portion. The cheese cake is only 5 bucks. The staff seem to actually come over when you need them not constantly when you don't which is good. Usually servers show up a lot or not at all and in either case it's most likely not when you need it. These servers are in my opinion the best I've seen. They seem to always be there when it matters. On top of that the salad came out about 30 seconds after ordering and the main meals came out probably 4 to 5 minutes after that. I'm insanely impressed with the speed and timing with this place. I'm not surprised it's so busy. Also if you can't find parking there's a parking lot slightly more down the road. I will definitely be a returning customer.

Gisella's is excellent food, which we go out of our way for. We love taking family and friends there. It can be a bit loud because it's always busy due to its excellent staff and culinary excellence. However, that is not a distraction.

As a very discerning customer and person of Italian descent, their food is absolutely delicious and the prices are extremely reasonable! I especially love the Zuppa de Pesce. It is out of this world and the portion size is enough for two meals. In addition, they have a full menu dedicated to gluten free items which is wonderful as very few restaurants cater to people with digestive issues. It is so nice to have a restaurant of this quality here in Danbury.

This is the best Italian I’ve found in the Danbury area. The service from Wendy was excellent! The food is authentic and well presented. The atmosphere is casual with Italian opera playing in the background. This chef knows how to prepare Italian cuisine. This place goes to the top of my list for Danbury, CT.

Absolutely love Gisella's we love the chicken parm dishes and grinders, lasagna and more. They have lunch special size and dinner portions as well depending on your appetite. Staff is always friendly, place is clean and service/ timing always fast. Yummy 😋 A must try if you haven't already.

Honestly if you know you know. and these people know. Danbury is lucky to have them. Don't worry about the crowds, there's absolutely a good reason why it's always crowded here. be patient and just wait for the great food and service.

I have heard great things about this restaurant. I did not like the dish I ordered (Chicken Francese) but everyone else enjoyed their meals. I'm willing to try more dishes and get a better overall opinion. This was my first visit. The service was wonderful and the restaurant was packed. This place is very popular and gets very crowded. The parking is limited so try to travel as a group in one car if possible.

As someone who works in Customer service I felt the need to share my experience with this restaurant. Gisella’s just catered our work Holiday party. Upon my first initial contact with them, the staff was friendly and professional and even had the owner contact me herself. From there on out Gisella and I were in communication and making sure that all the entree choices made would make sense and be in accurate quantities to feed the staff. The customer service that I received was absolutely top notch. The delivery was made in a timely manner and the food was delicious. Our staff hasn’t stopped raving about the food! We chose to get together with my wife’s family and utilized Gisela’s. There was ten of us in the gathering. Right from the start, our server was fantastic and attentive to our needs, Michelle. As far as the atmosphere, very accommodating and comfortable. We all ordered different main courses along with a variety of appetizers. Everyone enjoyed their food. All the entrees came out at the same time and the food was delicious. What a jewel in this city. Great job. I highly recommend Gisela’s. I can’t wait to return to try another entree.

Great Italian food! The parking lot is a madhouse because the place is always packed, especially on a weekend. Things can get backed up because they are so busy but the staff have a great attitude about it.

Absolutely loved it!! High quality food at the right prices. Just discovered the weekday specials menu. What a deal. The place was busy but tended to by an efficient friendly waitstaff. Will return and recommend.

Food was decent. Staff was amazing. Had a salad that was drowning in dressing so no the best. Would consider coming back again but honestly for the price there is much better.
