This might be harsh, but wanted to make sure others don’t experience what my sister and I did. We had a “spa day” massage and facial. Our massages were pleasant although I said in the beginning that I wanted attention on my neck and shoulders. That did not happen. Again it was pleasant and relaxing. This was my first facial. The person that did my facial was Nancy. I told her I wear contacts so please be careful around my eyes. Nancy started with putting products on my face and scrubbing it in flirts with her hands and then a motorized brush. She then began to aggressively rub my face with some kind of machine that was loudly bleeping. At the same time she was having a phone conversation right over my face speaking in some other language. It was extremely rude. As she was rubbing the tool over my face she continually rubbed it aggressively around my eyes, pressing hard and digging into my eyes. She was getting the products in my eyes and it burned. The experience was uncomfortable and unprofessional. There was no facial massage. After it was over she sat me up. I was unable to see, I think the products were still in my eyes. She then tried to push her products which I was absolutely not interested in. My eyes still hurt hours later and are still tearing. I think she may have torn my contact. I feel like I was given an aggressive foot pedicure on my face. The experience was disappointing and I really hope no permanent damage was done to my eye. I would never go back there again. My sister had a very similar experience. Unfortunately, I would not recommend this place to anyone seeking spa services.

I wanted to give this place a good rating. We came in as a bachelorette group of 5, and when we each wanted to customize the services we were getting after only a basic package had initially been booked, the owner was accommodating and fit us in as needed. Facial was great. Pedicure was great. My experience completely went downhill when it came to the hair. Initially only a wash and blow out was booked. The hair dresser, Joey, convinced me to trim ends. Told him to keep the same shape and style as I currently have. Long layers. Angled on the sides. He COMPLETELY disregarded and went scissor happy. I've never had a more choppy, uneven haircut in my entire life. I'm so distraught. Obviously blown out and styled, it was not as noticeable. But once the hair went back to it's normal state, the layers are hard edged and do not flow into one another. The front pieces are a good 1-2in difference in length. With the right side longer, angling into the rest of the cut and the left side is literally chopped. And sitting 2 inches above the other side, right at my jawline. I made an appointment at another salon to have this fixed but it's so butchered, I don't even know what they will be able to do. GOODBYE 7 INCHES OF HAIR. NEVER again. _____ EDIT TO UPDATE: After a day of having this comment up, instead of trying to reconcile the situation, the establishment is now trying to bury my review by having their local customers comment about the above mentioned hairdresser. And more importantly, trying to bury the review from another individual left on the same day that notes how they were "bashing Hispanics the entire time." Coincidentally, 3 of the women within my group were the only Hispanic women present that day.

I wasn't going to leave this review, but after cleaning some dishes today and having my cuticle bleed, I think something needs to be said. When I was looking for a place to get my nails done, I specifically chose this place because when I think of spa, I think of relaxation and calm. I didn't receive that here. I left the place sweating and anxious over what else may hurt me. It honestly felt like the technician was still learning how to do nails as he was pretty rough with mine and kept making mistakes with my color. It also felt like an eternity being there. It took him 2 hours to take off my acrylic nails and put on gel polish. But anyway, the details of my pain are as follows: 1. When the technician started to take off my acrylic nails, he started drilling at my first finger and was rather aggressive with it causing me to recoil back in pain. He apologized and continued onto the rest of my nails going more gently. 2. On to the manicure, it was going as well as it could've gone until he pulled out the cuticle clippers. He did the first 4 nails fine, but when he got to my thumb, he cut me and I started bleeding. I was in a lot of pain and have been for these last couple days. I hate writing negative reviews, and I feel bad even now typing this but I've danced around the idea of never going back to this place for fear that I may get this technician again and get hurt a second time. I love the color of my nails but the pain has me torn. I think a lesson on nail etiquette would be ideal for the technicians so they can practice being more gentle on customers' hands.

Poor experience. Started with a pedicure that was overpriced and the worst pedicure I’ve had in my life, then moved on to my nails which actually look nice because the gentleman who did them actually listened to me and what I wanted, but then came my eyebrows… I had asked for them to be waxed, and I specifically told the waxer to not touch the center of my brows not once, but twice and then, next thing you know, I feel her putting wax on the center of my brows, and she ripped half of my eyebrow off right before an important occasion. Highly disappointed with their employees ability to pay attention to what you’re saying especially when it comes to something as important as your eyebrows because we all know that hair is sparse for a lot of people doesn’t grow back very quickly. I will never give my business to this place again due to their inability to listen to their clients and their high prices for low quality services.

I have been coming to Mod Day Spa for 4 years and have loved it in the past. I was recently there 10-19-23, for a full set & a pedicure and an experience that I feel needs to be addressed. My nails were done beautifully & then it was time for my pedicure. Nancy did my pedicure & she did a great job, however… the entire time she was doing it… she was trying to sell me on an herbal tea for weight loss. She kept saying it was good for me to loose weight. Now I realize that I am a heavier person, but to be honest… I felt this was to the point of fat shaming… it was not just a small conversation… it was the entire time she did my pedicure, all 45 mins of me hearing how I should buy this tea wholesale from her to loose weight and that I need to loose weight & be healther! I want owners a message on Facebook that has to date been ignored. I don’t come there to feel bad about my weight, I come there to do things to make me feel better about myself!!! Do yourselves a favor and find a better place! I sure have!

I had Tran do my nail fix, refill and design and it was one of the best fills I have gotten! I had to change my appt 3 times due to my job and Mod Spa was super accommodating and even tried to get me out for the door with no wait time because they knew I had meetings at work. Tran was friendly and I showed him a very detailed design that required a couple different colors. He looked at the picture and matched it PERFECTLY! He was so detailed oriented and ensured everything was perfect before moving to the next step. I love them!! Pictures attached

Upon arrival everyone was nice and friendly. However, before coming I asked for prices and they seemed so confused with what the prices were because of course at the end it was not the quoted price. My normal nail salon was closed and this one seemed to have good reviews. She did a great job on my pedicure and the scrub they used was amazing. I was excited because I found a new place that was clean and pretty. However, my manicure was not great and one nail was slanted and she cut me on two fingers with the file. I just don’t understand why she filed my skin instead of the nail. I also understand sometimes nail techs use their mail to push down the skin but it hurt so much. The process took so long. I didn’t have to wait to be serviced but it took 2 hours.

My sister and I went the day before her wedding. I got a gel manicure and she got a pink and white ombre set. We both got pedicures as well. Everything was perfect! The place is clean, everyone is kind and professional and the quality was better than expected. Would definitely go back.

I cannot express the length of my gratitude for Kelly F sharing her fabulous massage gifts with me. This was one of the best massages I have ever received. I was floating for days after. She is a true healer.

Lexi and Emily are amazing. Lexi has been my stylist for a long time and I would always go to her for hair needs. She saved my very damaged hair and got me to the color I want to be! Highly recommend them!

Salon may benefit from some improvements: 1) Salon has a strong chemical like smell that stays with you. 2) Technical part is mediocre. 3) Service does not-exist. Staff behaves as if they don't want to be there, or they are very unhappy. 4) Overpriced about 20% when compared with other similar salons.
