Today was the worst food I have ever received from any Ocean Basket. Not only did they make me wait for 40min for a take away, when I got to my guesthouse the supposed Kingklip (as thin as a sole) was overly done and fried after I said to them twice that I wanted it grilled. Very disgusted!!!

The food was great, we had a platter for two which is somewhat pricy but it was truly a great helping of beautiful seafood. I ate like a king. The waiter. Matthys was courteous and professional.

I was dining, the waiter was really nice,made sure i am comfortable.the food loved it. I am a hot beverage person and their hot chocolate is so creamy. I was dining alone i enjoyed my food with peace

Exceptional Restaurant!!! Food was amazing, very well prepared and presented, our waiter Christine showed us great gratitude and at all times made us feel welcome. When it came to dessert I wanted to order a yoghurt cheesecake like I normally do and the waiter made a suggestion for a Lava Cake which I loved, think I might have a new favorite dessert now. Keep up the good work!!!

We stopped over for takeaways then decided to have a drink while we wait. The service was top tier and the food only took 10 minutes to be ready. Always love it here, but today the waitress Ms Carine was exceptional. Very welcoming and hospitable.

Just not the same anymore. Obviously saving on aircon (was always on when Collen was still the owner) and the chips portion size is about half the normal size. You have to ask for serviettes, no basket or plate for prawn or mussle shells. Kingklip was dry and you can see chips fried in old cooking oil with pieces of old black chips in my plate. Chairs, fire extinguishers, windowsills, etc are full of dust. We say goodbye to Ocean Basket and wish you well after being clients for almost 15 years and having dinner there almost once a week.

Though we were the this time during Load Shedding the food was good as always. The waiters are excellent and the restaurant is light for my poorly sighted mother. And it is wheelchair friendly too. I hate all other restaurants that are always dark inside. They all think it is more romantic in the dark restaurants, but is it really? You can be romantic anywhere cant you?..

The prices on the menu have increased dramatically. It was a relief to find a cheapish option. I tried the wrap, it was nice in fact I quite enjoyed it.

This is the best restaurant. Food is excellant very good service. The owner is also a pleasure to speak with. Always frendly and aware of everything happening in his place
