Me and my wife came for a visit in the winter. We stayed in the "Uilhuis" and if I would say it was cosy would be an understatement. The view from the house was beautiful and it was very peaceful and quite. There is also hiking options available as well as rowing in the dam from your doorstep. I would recommend this to anyone who is looking for a breakaway weekend.

We had the most relaxing yet fun time in the Freestate, staying at this very affordable, rustic yet comfortable farm. Christo and his staff really go the extra mile to make you feel welcome. The fishing was fun for the kids, who also enjoyed climbing the small mountain. Would really love to visit again, only given 3 stars as it is a rustic venue, but most certainly got the 5 star treatment.

It's rustic but ideal for lots of people. Setting is top notch in the mountains with a lake and towns nearby

Always a great place to stay at. Peaceful and beautiful. Close enough to Lesotho, Clarens, and Fouriesburg.

We stayed over in the Windmill house, beware no plugs just solar power for the lights. They have to start the generator in order for you to do anything electricity related. The road to the accommodation isn't great for non 4x4 vehicles, not inaccessible, but it needs to be scraped.

Close to Fouriesburg and Clarens..friendly owner..and afordably priced and safe...bike friendly..and runners love to run from there and the annual polar bear swim happens there..if you have the grit for that kind of thing!
