The dam was the best feature. Some beautiful walks in the forest parts. Wait for the rains so you can see the Waterfall too. Signage wasn't too good but you can't really get lost. Maps are R40 so we went where the wind took us.

This reservation has nice hiking trails and a lovely dam that is situated in the reserve. I would recommend this reservation for nature lovers. However, access to the reserve is not monitored or controlled, as such anyone can enter. I suggest hiking in groups,if alone or in a pair you could literally be the only people in the reserve at a given time and i wouldn't wonder the hiking the trails without company as you would be isolated.

Beautiful dam. Came across on my walk of the surrounding trails. Loved seeing all the kids having so much fun swimming in the dam. Very clean area. Great place to take your dogs

What a beautiful setting for a walk. There is so much to see in the area around the dam. A few minutes walk past the dam and you are high enough to have a spectacular view of Clarens.

First off to get to this place is tricky because of the gravel road you will jave to take if you have a bakkie, suv or anything higher than a vw polo from the ground this might not be such a big issue, but the belly of my car got hit by a few rocks and everything on my car is standard if you wondered 😆😁, i drove at 10km/h and was all over the road to try and miss the big rocks, the walk nice and calm the scenery was beautifull and you dont need to be a expert to do this walk, we walked all the possible routes ( we could see) and we were on the trails for 3 and a half hours, overall real nice and safe, you have to park your car at a gate which looks a little abandoned but it all gets better from there as you move along on foot

One of my absolute favorite places to just sit back and breathe. Always quiet besides the birds chirping and any other people out for a walk. Lovely views

Definitely get directions on how to get to the dam, as we got lost on the many trails available. But we had a beautiful swim!

It is less than 5 minutes' drive from the commercial district. If the weather is fine, it is recommended to park the car on the main street and walk in. It was cloudy when we went there, so we parked the car at the entrance of the scenic spot (no tickets are required here). The dam is less than 10 minutes' walk from the entrance. It's very quiet and the scenery is nice. It's a pity that the weather is not good. I hope we have the opportunity to come back again.

😠 We were there for a 3 night stay Lin and Brian couldn’t recall we had booked and paid in full. Lin then wanted to accommodate us in a filthy room with the smelliest linen and carpet as a favour. We were left having to look for new accommodation we still waiting on our full refund. Brian wants us to...
