My
husband
was
counting
down
the
days
till
I
got
"kicked
out"
of
Oatlands.
It's
been
a
few
months
since
I'm
back
home
and
only
remembered
this
now.
Which
got
me
thinking,
previous
institutions
banned
me
from
their
facilities
whenever
I
displayed
"bad"
behavior,
whereas
the
staff
at
Oatlands
always
pointed
out
my
behavior
and
asked
me
how
I
think
it
could
change,
and
more
importantly,
IF
I
AS
AN
INDIVIDUAL,
FEEL
LIKE
I
NEED
TO
CHANGE
MY
BEHAVIOUR
AND
WHY.
Dr
Olla,
Larry,
and
Marissa
were
the
perfect
fit
for
me.
I
was
always
able
to
be
myself,
which
in
turn
allowed
me
to
be
vulnerable.
Alistair
was
also
great
fun
for
me,
as
he
was
my
light
in
my
dark
days.
The
rest
of
the
staff,
including
nurses
and
reception
staff
were
all
kind,
warm,
and
loving.....qualities
that
held
great
reverence
in
my
healing.
I
am
an
iconoclast
so
im
aware
that
im
a
handful
some
of
the
time.
But
for
me,
being
around
these
people
for
over
28
days
awakened
something
in
me
that
I
will
be
ever
so
grateful
for.
Amongst
many
other
things,
I
learned
how
to
forgive
and
I
learned
that
I
was
loved
the
best
way
my
family
knew
how.
The
job
of
a
Psychologist
is
a
REAL
JOB
and
an
incredibly
difficult
one,
and
I
hope
that
you
all
grow
from
strength
to
strength,
one
day
at
a
time.
Lots
of
love
:)
