Stopped for food on the way back from an epic walk round Crib Goch. Really good service we had a party of 10 so it could have been a strain but the staff had no issue and made us feel wanted. Really good food and selection of drinks 🀀 I had one of the burgers and it was delicious πŸ˜‹ Thankyou for the hospitality

We ate here two nights in a row. Gluten free friendly, I am coeliac and had plenty of options and gluten free bread to go with the sharing melted cheese! Amazing!! INCREDIBLE food, and friendly, lovely service. Cannot fault it. The meat in particular was so tender and yummy! All local products and traditional menu. We came on a Saturday, to eat from the usual menu and Sunday for Sunday roast, both incredible. Amazing Sunday roast. And board games to keep the whole family entertained! Be sure to book ahead! This should definitely be on your list of things to do on your trip to Snowdonia. Rated pub of the year for a reason.

Perfect for a few days winter walking, or a ML course in my case. Cosy pub downstairs with decent food and fires, standard rooms upstairs, nothing special but warm and plenty of hot water, a kettle, charging sockets, all you need. Staff were lovely and made me feel welcome.

We stayed here for 4 nights while on a first aid course and walking in Snowdonia with our 2 dogs The rooms are comfortable clean and have everything you need. Small touches such as a decent kettle, plenty of tea coffee milk and hot chocolate which are replenished daily and the room remade up each day and cleaned impeccably All the staff are friendly helpful and kind. The breakfast is great with free tea coffee juices and then you chose from a menu so if you want a full breakfast you can or if not a lovely bowl of porridge or perfectly cooked poached eggs I can not fault this place , great value for money and we will definitely stay again when we come back.

The beer is very good but the main bar-restaurant was not very warm my wife's dinners okay, I had salmon which was over cooked and little to no flavour. The barman is one of the most miserable man I have ever come across , couldn't smile very straight face and he found it very difficult to put 2 words together and the barmaid unfortunately wasn't much better. I was in the Tyn-y-Coed this time last year with great staff and it was also war.

Amazingly relaxing time and a pleasure to meet the Tyn-y-Coed staff - nothing was too much trouble throughout our stay. The food and drink choices were exceptional and the log fire was a perfect backdrop to the bar and lounge. And best of all, the location is stunning and a perfect base for our trip. We'll be back for sure.

We came here for a meal and a drink after a day's rock climbing in the mountains. The Tyn y Coed has always been an institution amongst outdoors enthusiasts and it's easy to see why. Set in the heart of the Eryri National Park it's in the perfect location. There is a great range of drinks available and an extensive menu. Local beers and local produce all at very keen prices. We both had the belly pork roast followed by sticky toffee pudding for my partner and apple crumble for me. Hearty sized portions for hungry climbers! There's always a great atmosphere in the Tyn y Coed and it's family friendly too. We will return again the next time we come to Eryri.

The staff here are fantastic! Super friendly and down to earth, and keen to help us have a great time, especially if you show them kindness in return. Friend and I were staying nearby in a van, not in the hotel. Over two nights we stopped by for a meal (first night) and few drinks (first and second night), as well as cups of tea in the morning. Staff were always very welcoming and advised us on some good places to visit that most people don’t think of when we asked. They made us feel right at home. 10/10 service in a fantastic location! Thank you!

Really decent pub. My seven year old son and I popped in before setting up camp and were welcomed. We played pool 50p per game and had a few drinks. Food was really decent, kids menu better than average, and I had a good burger with decent skin on chips. Staff were helpful, people were nice and we had a good few hours here. Didn’t see or stay in rooms.

Can't comment on the rooms, but from the number of patrons in the bar enjoying an evening meal and planning the next day out, it can't be bad. Spent many a pleasant evening with friends after a day out in the wonderful area around Snowdonia. Food, drink and staff were all excellent. The atmosphere is relaxed, not rushed and incredibly friendly, the staff only too happy to help/suggest places to walk, climb or visit. Good menu, good portions and selection of beverages. It's dog friendly as well, and a piano in the corner πŸ€™πŸ»πŸ€™πŸ»πŸ€™πŸ»

Popped in while on a Sunday drives so I can't comment on the rooms but the food is spot on had a chicken roast which was fantastic and a homemade apple and cinnamon crumble with ice cream that I can honestly say is the best apple crumble I've had ( sorry mum). So if your around the area and fancy a cracking meal pop in you won't regret it.

Went for dinner with a large group (pre booked). Greeted with a warm welcome and a good selection of beers and ciders. The food was great, very tasty and good sized portions- perfect after a day on the hills. Service was good, and the food came quickly, despite us being a large group. Food highlights included the fish pie, game pie, lamb shank, and lib scouse stew.

Dropped in for food which wasn't being served til 4pm so had a choice of nice ales to pass the time. Food was good, we chose the Lobscouse which was hearty, tasty and filling. Wasn't the biggest portion but didn't need to be. Friendly bar staff, popular pub for walkers and locals. Real fire was warming and the atmosphere was relaxing.

I only went here for dinner one evening. The place was extremely busy on a Saturday night. Outdoor clothing might be mandatory - I'm not sure! We waited nearly an hour for food. No one's fault, it's just that busy, which says a lot for the popularity. The staff were very good natured and seemed to be cooking really well with the crowd. I ate with three other people. I think everyone was happy with their food. I certainly was. Tasty, hot despite the wait, and a very good portion.

I wasn't staying here and only came in for food, I had the steak and ale pie. I've never had such a good pie, it was huge! Every bit of it was amazing. The pub itself was very warm and welcoming this goes to the staff aswell, they were on hand ready to deliver an amazing service. I can not recommend this place enough!
