👍👍 I love this place for spending time in the late spring and early summer. If you have a boat boating is awesome here easy to navigate and the fishing is great too.

I lived in Florida next to a beach for ten years then moved to Colorado. I’ve been in the springs for 14 years and this is the First time I’ve came to the reservoir and definitely worth it. Closest thing I’ll get to it and an absolute blast. We stayed on the family side great area for swimming and grilling and even camping. Worth checking out !

In 1962, a bill called frying Pan Arkansas Project was passed to build a reservoir for the farmers to water their fields. It is located within the Lake Pueblo State Park. The town of Swallows was flooded to make way for the reservoir. The view walking on the top of the reservoir and looking down at the lake is beautiful. There are many water activities except swimming. There is a special swimming area in the park but no swimming in the reservoir.

Any day on the water is a good day. Nice restrooms and fish cleaning station at the dock parking lot.

Great place to spend time camping and fishing. With multiple species of fish like walleye and trout . Lots of fishing spots that you can drive your car right to shore . Hiking, it's great with great views of your surroundings. Wild life is incredible birds and deer.

I go to enjoy the fishing. I get skunked most of the time, but a bad day of fishing is better than a good day at work.

Came out here to fish its usually warmer here than in Colorado springs so in winter months it's better.

If you need to launch an SUP or kayak, head to Sailboard Rd. It's the 2nd left from the dam entrance.
