This place requires major renovation. It's poorly managed. The escalator between the first and ground floor is not fixed for many months. The lift is out of order frequently too. And cleanliness of this place could be much better

I like to do my shopping at Ashfield Mall, but the management need to do a lot better to improve the conditions. I'm talking about the lifts and the escalator outside and the lack of maintenance. It's been months and the lift button on level 4 has never been replaced and the escalator to level 4 is still not working. Today I got stuck inside the lift and had to open the doors with my hands. Disgraceful

Old shopping centre ,management a sleep. - Garbage bins to collect drips from the roof in coles,so nobody can slip on the paddles ,but trip over the garbage bins which are in the way in the lanes. -Elevators out of order for 3 years so far at front of entry. -Elevators in central that will stop working for weeks,so put on your best shoes when shopping cause you’ll be doing leg day when shopping.

This place is a joke. The escalator outside off Liverpool Road has been broken for over 1 year now, and despite multiple complaints, the entrance is still inaccessible for people with disabilities and less mobility. You have to either walk up the stairs, or walk through the entire mall to go to other escalators to get up to the top level. The elevators are also these rickety wooden things that are very old, broken, and with no ventilation. Pretty intense. Good place for a sauna.

Disappointed in the way Ashfield Mall management handle this vicinity! Honestly have no idea why the escalator (Liverpool Rd side) hasn’t been fixed months ago?!! You would think it would give your customers better access to level 2 where doctors/ supermarkets are located! When this “ renovation” happens hopefully you guys keep onto of things this time!

What can I say, it’s a mall, it has pretty much everything you need, seems to be kept reasonably clean. 2hrs free parking is really handy however careful entering the car park as it’s tight.

I had an argument with a Chinese girl 12th Dec at the Ashfield mall, grd floor news agency, not the first time I've gone a round or two with obnoxious Asian staff (I've met so lovely people too). I miss the days of Ozi politeness and sense of fair play and kindness. So many Chinese I've met in the service industry are full of vile hatred and it shows in their manner and attitude. If you can't be kind & polite, if you insist on winning every petty argument no matter what, then you are not welcome here. Please, leave.

No such thing as social distancing in this mall! Too crowded. And no one to reinforce the rules.

Not disabled friendly. Their escalator has been under maintenance for several months. I have mobility issues and instead of going straight up the Escalator and walking a few metres to Woolworths, I have to walk halfway through the centre and then walk halfway back as I am unable to walk up all those stairs. Please fix your escalator!!!! By the time I reach Woolworths, I have to sit down for 20 minutes and wait for the pain to subside and for my legs to get energy back into them. I would have given 5 stars but the Escalator issue is a huge problem and nobody actually believes anymore that someone is trying to fix it. Apart from the access issues for disabled people, it's a great little shopping centre with everything you need and it's close to public transport and other amenities.

I couldn’t agree more with Wyatts google review. I just want to reiterate that it is shameful how long it has taken for action and change to be implemented. When the renovations finish of the whole Mall it better be something special because us ashfieldians have been waiting along time. Do the ashfield community proud

Ashfield mall has lots of shops from the big supermarkets to some specialty shops. There is plenty of parking. I usually head to the roof. You can also access the many shops on the main road easily.

I’ve been here several years. But today is the worst day. The elevator suddenly stop and I just on the elevator and have a trolly. I have to push the trolly to go down. And my blueberry is spilling everywhere

Had most of what we were after for a Christmas lunch picnic barbecue party. The atmosphere is quite dull and not many stores. A Kmart, Coles, Woolworths, The Reject Shop, Aldi and a small food court with a Subway and a KFC amongst other foods.

Shops are good, but centre management is atrocious. No money spend on maintenance. Most weekends one or more travelators are out of action forcing people in long queues waiting for elevators, which this weekend are also one down. So many people need to share a single elevator. Shameful in Covid times. Also outside escalator has been out of action for at least 8 years. What a joke!

Nostalgic shopping mall of my childhood, but now looks really sad and outdated. There are convenient stores there like Aldi and K-Mart, however the food court could really be more exciting with a broader selection of healthier options rather than greasy fast food. The lighting is a bit dim, which adds to the eeriness of the ambience.

Awful only signs about social distancing where on the escalators and no one enforcing the social distancing rules. I dare the manager or supervisor of the mall itself to walk through there right now and say you are maintaining government-issued rules.

Such an improvement! Ashfield mall is starting to look so much more modern. AWESOME new (as of October 2023) kids corner, with separate play equipment for under 2's. The toddler area has lots for little ones to do, including fake zippers, velcro, laces, mini climbing wall, mirrors and things to spin. Walls are high enough to keep crawlers in! Bigger kids area (2 and up) is in great condition and has lots of climbing and play room. Lastly they have a reading corner, pram parking and a cafe! A

The new play area is great. However, my child tripped and was bleeding alot. I think this area is a dangerous hazard. Needs to be fixed. I still bring my child but I'm always worried every time he trips in the same area.

A little bit of " the backwaters" of malls. Not much shop variety other than all supermarkets & Kmart. I go there 3-4 times a year 2have my car washed. On top of the lack, only 1lift working, no escalator buthankfully management overlooked the over time so no paying for the 15min waito getrolleys down. Wouldnt wanto go for general shopping there-not many choices

This is a cool Mall, nice change from my local. Friendly staff everywhere I went, and the food was amazing at the Foodcourt. Got everything you need here!!

  • 5/5 Maddi G. 1 year ago on Google
Has everything you need within one shopping centre. Kmart is open until 10pm, along with the supermarkets (Coles until 12am and Woolworths until 10pm). One thing that it could use is more public seating, and generally being more accessible to those with impaired mobility. Otherwise, a nice place and easy to navigate.

There's alot of shops... Good experiences inside the mall.. and outside plenty to see .. if you want to avoid crowds come by at 8am to shop..only down side is other than food stores..other shops won't open till after 9am .. they don't have Mc Donalds at Eatery.. shame though . they would of got 5 stars for that .

Dated old mall but still good to have Coles, Aldi, Woolworths and Kmart in one place with decent parking. Hasn't changed much since I used to go there 20 years ago.

  • 3/5 JM E. 1 year ago on Google
Good selection of retail stores. Aldi, Coles, Woolworths , Kmart. One of the entry boom gate is always broken which creates chaos upon entry on weekends. The 'worst escalator' can be found here as per Inner West Courier article. Most of their escalators are always broken, lifts are super slowwww. Mall still doesn't have number plate recognition system on entry and you still press a button for a ticket. The pros: Plenty of parking, toilets not too bad although the people trash it, just the sort of patrons in Ashfield, nothing can be done about that. Foodcourt is most of the time is clean.

Was Shouted brekky with part of my 'Dysfunctional La' Familia' we all went with the pancake spread🥞with 2x Pancakes each with a quarter slice of banana 🍌each and mixed 🫐🍓jam and maple syrup each for $14.00 with 1x hot beverage ☕. It was nice and filling but not quite very tasty needs more LOVE in it. But hey can't be picky but we will never go 🔙,so next will go to Happyfield in Haberfield instead and try their pancakes. So we won't recommend that Cherry 🍒 Cafe. Sorry Not Sorry. But thanks 👍

Look, it's tired and desperately in need of a refit and upgrade of its interior and carpark BUT ..it's a functional mall that has grocery chains, grog chains and some dirty mall Chinese and kebabs style food. Nothing amazing but nothing bad, either. Get in, do your weekly shop, maybe grab a latte or kebab, and leave. It's not a day-long shopping destination; it's a functional mall.

Under major renovation. Hard to find parking, limited shopping, did get some entertainment from a local meth head. The food court was not clean, sit on the benches at your own peril

  • 5/5 Jeremy S. 4 months ago on Google
KMART, Coles, Woolworth, ALDI, TongLi, Farmers Fresh, Reject Shop, NAB, Commonwealth, HSBC, AusPost. Right next to the council and the library. 2 hours free contactless covered carpark, 3 hours free roof top carpark (I think, not confimed). 3 minutes walk from train station. Famous Shanghai restaurants on Liverpool Road. Chemist Warehouse at walkable distance. Lacking Target, BigW, Westpac (unsure), ANZ (unsure). Food court is basic. The elevator outside is under maintenance for 3 years. The toilet on G/F is under some groundwork. The one upstairs is right at the top of the travelator next to the food court.

One of my favourite malls. Love the architecture and a fine collection of shops. Very welcoming atmosphere.

  • 3/5 Lou B. 1 year ago on Google
Car park could use some additional lighting, otherwise a pretty busy shopping mall with the standard fast food offerings in the food court. Access to Tong Li is underground through the car park which is a bit of an unusual location.

Ashfield Mall is a beautiful and comfortable place for shopping, especially for the locals. As there are some major stores such as Colse, Woolworths and Kmart, and there are also beautiful small stores. I like this place and I love shopping and drinking coffee here as you see good people and and cleanliness everywhere. Thanks to the respectful management and all the employees of this mall. I wish you all the best.👍🌹🛍🧁☕🍹

cosy small mall even though has Woolies, Coles, Aldi and Kmart but always has broken services like escalators and lifts. Looks run down from the inside and the flooring is dull and old. carpark is ok but when it rains there are hazard spots...

Ashfield Mall is a convenient shopping destination with a bustling food court and easy access via the escalator. The food court offers a diverse range of cuisines, satisfying the taste buds of every shopper. The escalator provides a hassle-free way to navigate the mall, making it effortless to explore the various stores and find everything you need. Whether you're looking for a quick bite or a full shopping experience, Ashfield Mall has you covered with its vibrant food court and efficient escalator system.

Nice place to do all your shopping. Just hard to get around with limited lifts during construction of another lift. Few incidents where people have taken pictures of me and my kids. But the security was lovely and quick to help.

  • 5/5 Brett H. 8 months ago on Google
Ashfield mall is a great place for your shopping, just a few ideas why... The mall itself isn't too big but has everything you need as far as groceries and other household things. One benifit of this Mall is the easy access to Liverpool Rd which is lined with interesting shops, Asian, Indian groceries, fruit and vege shops which all have nice prices. There's also a Togli Asian supermarket I think on level 2 it's kind of in the carpark area but a good shop.

This is the type of shopping mall that was common in suburban Australia about 20 or 30 years ago before Westfield became a big thing. It has some good basic stores like Kmart Woolworths Coles as well as some speciality stores like Tong Li Asian grocery store, there are some men's and women's wear shops upstairs as well as a small food court and about 3 or 4 cafes of which the Urban artisans is my favourite although I think that might have recently changed ownership. I can't see any changes in the service delivery yet most of the staff are still the same

This place is way better than UR usual big shopping centres that are always packed an people everywhere which can be really annoying,, as with this place if UR someone that likes a more quiet relaxing an not so much people vibe then this mall would be perfect for that. I love how they have all the good stores under one roof..I will definetly be coming back hear to this mall,,.

What is Centre Management doing? This place is so run down its a depressing place to shop. The external 'up' escalator has been broken for months. The central escalator regularly breaks down (it is either still out of order from last weekend or again out of order this weekend) - causing horrendous wait times for the lift to get your groceries to the roof car park. There is a smashed in wall at the top of the up ramp to the roof car park that has had no evidence of attention - also for months. The roof top car park floods in the rain - especially in the trolley return bays. There is evidence of neglect everywhere. I pity the tenants.

  • 2/5 Brittany B. 2 years ago on Google
Eh. This is technically my local mall but would rather travel to Burwood. Somehow it has 3 levels but still not enough variety of stores. Mostly good for grocery shopping (Coles, Woolies, Aldi, BWS) but nothing for clothes unless you want Kmart, really. Nothing for entertainment. No electronic stores, and minimal options for beauty (I think there's one or two nail salons and one massage place). Shops seem to shut down here pretty frequently. Pathetic food court with hardly any seating and few options. The post office is always insanely busy. Avoid the medical centre, some of the worst receptionists (that lady at the front desk who is always there? I've NEVER seen her smile) and doctors I've ever had the displeasure of seeing. The floors are always dirty, dim lighting, dingy atmosphere overall. I try to avoid going here if I can, to be honest.
