Is 0 stars an option? Turned away for a Pfizer vaccination, after I had a standing appointment for >2 weeks. No questions about eligibility asked when booking. However, when I turn up for the vaccine, sit down for >20 mins, wait for my turn, I am told I am not eligible and unable to get the vaccine at this time. Great example of customer service, coordination and planning. This is also not the first such case of this occurring at Barwell.. Well done guys! Keep turning away people who are keen on getting vaccinated to stop the spread!

It's really disappointing to attend a medical centre with so many doctors and receptionists that have no regard for the health and wellbeing of their patients. The other day I had been sent to hospital by one of the only good doctors that Barwell Medical centre has to offer (Dr Mashadi) for a medical condition that was quite urgent. Following this, I required a follow up appointment with my doctor, only to be told by the receptionist that I had to wait three weeks to get an appointment because there was "nothing she could do". She didn't even offer to try and speak to my doctor for me, even though it was not a matter that could wait three weeks! Not only that, the receptionists wouldn't even send my health record over to a different medical centre for an important appointment I had booked, forcing me to cancel my appointment. The only receptionist that has helped me there ever is a lovely lady called Anne! Additionally, I had seen another doctor at Barwell, Dr Pathibhan, who ordered the completely wrong blood test for me the other day, forcing my original doctor to have to order another blood test to amend his error! Additionally, he had told my sister who had previously seen him that she didn't have a tonsil infection which was great because she had her tonsils out three years ago!

The running this medical centre are trying to create hype by giving patients COVID19 vaccination appointments- and then denying patients their jab after the doctor scams money from Medicare! Congratulations Dr Parthibhan Shanmugasunderm! You and your band of merry - namely Michele, Barbara and Christine, have successfully placed a special needs school which is located in a high risk LGA at a even greater risk of contracting COVID-19 by denying a parent of two students who attend the school his vaccination today! Had he not already met the eligibility, filled out all the relevant documentation and been given an appointment by your centre I could understand. However, to have a patient sitting in the consultation room waiting for their jab to be administered only to have absolute indecisive turn around and tell him they won’t be administering the vaccination is an absolute joke! You had no reason to do what you did today, other than to ride the power trip you four are so clearly on. This will be investigated further, but even without the results of an investigation I hope you are all able to sleep well knowing that what goes around comes around. What an absolute disgrace to the health care industry you all are, but even worse than that, what a disappointment to mankind. ... I am confident you can fill in the blanks...

Based on my experience, running a medical center with bulk billing can sometimes give the impression of being rushed during consultations with doctors and not always receiving precise answers to desired questions. There have been GPs at such medical centers who make you feel like you're just another patient seeking a prescription without much personal attention. However, at this particular medical center, the doctors (I met three of them) show genuine interest in the patients, explain things patiently and thoroughly, and even provide additional explanations over the phone when necessary. The receptionists, on the other hand, consist of both very friendly and quite unfriendly individuals, so it's a hit or miss with whom you'll interact. Nevertheless, since the GP is the most important person, regardless of the receptionists' attitude, I highly recommend it.

Booked a Telehealth consultation via HealthEngine. Doctor failed to call. Called the Medical Centre 30 minutes later to confirm if the doctor was running late. Was told that I wasn't eligible for a telehealth consult as I hadn't visited the practice recently. Absolutely zero communication and rude reception staff.

Dr Roberts is absolutely wonderful. It was our first time at Castle Hill Family Doctors seeing Dr Roberts. My daughter sustained an injury and we were frantically searching for an early appointment and found a spot with Dr Roberts. I'm so glad we did. He was so kind and caring and very quickly put us at ease. He performed a minor procedure with the help of a lovely nurse and I am absolutely confident that my daughter will make a speedy recovery. The practice is clean, well organised and conveniently located by Castle Mall. Parking was easy.

Awful experience. Was initially thankful I was able to book a last minute appointment for my daughter who needed antibiotics on a Saturday. I then received a phone call from reception advising the doctor I had booked for wasn't taking any new patients. I explained my situation and the receptionist said yes the doctor would see me, but I would need to come as soon as possible. I said yes I would leave immediately. Whilst I was heading to the doctor I received another phone call from another person purporting to be from the doctors office but after introducing themselves the phone cut out. I arrived at the doctor as quickly as I could to be told by reception that the doctor I had booked for was unwell and had gone home but they had booked my at another doctor surgery on Crane road and I could just walk there. This was in the 20 minutes it took for me to drive there.They said no other doctor could see my daughter. She said she had called me and told me. I said she didn't tell me, the phone cut out and she said yes she spelt out the address for me as I had asked on the phone. I said this was not me. She continually said it was me despite my denials. I went to the other doctor on Crane road walking as advised by the reception. The reception at the crane road doctor surgery had no idea what I was talking about. I attempted to call the castle hill family medical practice multiple times no answer. I walked back there with two children to be told 'we didn't tell you that you had an appointment there'. I was so upset and my daughter needed medication and they were completely unsympathetic and did not care. Poor communication and service. Save yourself the trouble and go to Crane road medical practice instead. The parking is much easier, reception staff are much more friendly and helpful.

Was feeling disillusioned with my current family GP of many years, so decided to try out Castle Hill Family Doctors, and wow was I surprised! These guys have every service that you could think of as well as wide variety of different doctors to choose from, you can even book online. Handy location with free 4 hour parking, they're even open on Saturdays and Sundays. I had a pleasant and very thorough consultation with Dr Parthibahn. Great service and facilities, highly recommended!

We are new to Castle hill area and I just delivered baby last week. I needed a GP for my baby 1 week checkup and also needed to show myself for postnatal checkup. This practice being nearby, I booked Dr Sandamali Senaratne day before yesterday over the phone. Just today morning they called me and said Dr Sandamali Senaratne doesn’t take any new patient. Well, aren’t you supposed to check this question when I was booking her day before yesterday weather I am old patient or first time patient. Now I am already bit late for 1 week appointment , and today being Saturday already most of doctor’s aren’t working. I have developed some infection so need a doctor as soon as possible. Just saying to me that Dr Sandamali Senaratne doesn’t take new patient at last minute and book somewhere else is not professionalism at all. You didn’t even consider my situation, I will never come back to your practice again.

Barwell Medical Centre is always the medical centre I have been recommended to family and friends at The Hills district. Main reason is the top quality of services we have been getting from Dr Mashhadi ever since we lived here. The medical team is superb and friendly, and not too mention the helpful receptionist - Anne who has always assisted my family under many occasions!

My local gp even If I've now moved to Redfern great choice of competent doctors and services easy booking system.....highly recommended

Worst service ever... They want us to come and get a hard copy because they are too busy to email. I mean are they still living in stone age?? Do not recommend at all.

My family and I are regular patients and supporters of this medical center. We love to see Dr Mashhadi. The secretary take care of us, she always displays empathy and kindness. We will not attend any other medical center as we will not get the same care and support. Highly recommend.

After attending this GP for almost 30 years, they have seriously gone downhill. Appauling reception staff with a lack of knowledge, limited services and skeletal doctoring staff, broken online booking systems and feature length film waiting times on the phone. Disgraceful duty of care displayed to inbound patients. Prompted to leave and buy a face mask elsewhere from the shops 500m down the road, only to then be rejected upon returning because of no availabilities which could have been made aware to me when I first arrived, by the reception staff who failed to even wear thier own mask.

I attended my usual Doctor who also practises in Yprk St but he was booked out there for a fortnight, so a friend, very kindly took me to the Castle Hill practice. I got in quickly and was attended to quickly.

Absolutely atrocious medical centre. I have attended this practice a few times now with my children and each time, we have received very disappointing service. The doctors seem inexperienced and poorly qualified. The practice is badly organised and unprofessionally run. We have sometimes had to wait ages to get seen, and unfortunately one of the receptionists was very rude to one of my children. I will be finding an alternative practice in the future.

Great service and facilities. Friendly, helpful and efficient staff - from the receptionist to the pathologist, nurse and doctor who saw me :) Very happy and I also felt safe visiting the practice as everyone adhered to the Covid protocols.

Went there for my kids last monday. Doctor said no need for medicine since no bacteria was diagnosed. My daughter got worse and I have to call in 13SICK national home doctor last night. The doctor gave amoxicillin for kids after diagnosis. And she improved a lot in the morning. What's the point of going to the doctor if the doctor could not diagnose properly and prescribe the proper medication, or prescribe any medication at all.

Nice place, nice location, very helpful staff. My doctor is Dr. Selvaranjani Thillairajah, she is so kind, soft spoken and understanding, punctual and most importantly very helpful…, it’s good to have. A doctor that are caring and try to do best to help you and your family health. Thank you <3

They just asked to leave a review- avoid this place. Long term patient of Dr Parthi 1st time bringing daughter. Had a high fever, crying pain in eyes and terrible cough. Doctor karmothi (never used her before) recommended Orange Juice. I told her my infant son is currently in hospital with same infection and my daughter wont eat, please help with any medication. Dr Karmonthi recommended vegetables . currently in emergency after daughter wouldn't stop throwing up hours later. Emergency doctors think its Pneumonia. I have ti find a new doctor and make a claim against their malpractice. Receptionists are also rude and informative, expect you to know rules but won't tell them to you, so always a surprise when you turn up. Never been this angry, so hard to walk out of there in silence with my crying daughter.

Dr Greg Roberts has been our family doctor for over 30 years and has taken care of our medical needs with compassion and empathy whilst going the extra mile to ensure nothing is overlooked.

Organised professional and easy to book in my appointment and feel welcome at the centre. Visiting Dr. Sharifian which makes me extremely happy with the process he has taken to diagnose and prescribe.

The staff at reception were friendly and courteous. The waiting room environment was relaxing and spacious. This was my first visit to see Dr Carr. I was able to comfortably express my health issues in detail and felt actively and patiently listened to. I am hopeful that Dr Carr's diagnosis and suggested treatment plan will bring about positive changes to my health and well being.

Dr Golam was mild mannered and caring. He was patient with my 3 yr old. Not 5 stars because my appointment was moved without notification.

Fist time visiting the lovely new premises. Easy to get to and parking in the Castle Mall car park, although a little more of a walk for older patients. Staff and doctors are friendly, helpful and caring.

The staff are originally from Barwell Medical .I've been with my GP for a long time.Dr Sandamali Senaratne is very helpful & professional. She listens and take her time to treat you. She's a friend and family to me.The staff ,receptionist are all very helpful & professional.

I took my brother visiting from the country to have his dressing changed, The friendly reception team processed his new patient information effortlessly and immediately arranged for him to be attended to. The Nurse in the attendance was very informative and consulted the doctor who examined the wound and declared it had improved substantially since the previous dressing was applied. Dr. Goulan then advised that there was no need to continue with the antibiotic and that a standard dresing would be sufficient. The nurse then proceeded to apply the new dressing. One could not have asked for better service.

My family love our Doctor, Dr Senaratne. Such a beautiful lady, our girls love her and the staff. Highly recommend Castle Hill Family Doctors

Do you want fast subjective diagnosis within seconds of consultation. Forget the fineer details, skip analysis like who really needs that anyway?? come for good old fasioned guess work. Medical issues and modern medicine seems to be overrated.. Sick children ahh don't worry about them, go home and don't play on the grass. There are a couple of doctors here that are truly fantastic! But our last experience was truely disturbing especially for a medical professional.

Best GP ever and she has a PHD too. Saved our lives several times spotted a Melanoma early stage, diagnosed a neurological disease years before specialists. Dr Balasubramanian is a brilliant physician and the best mental health practitioner in the district. On top of all that she is the kindest and most generous human dedicated to delivering the best health care possible. We are lucky to have DR Bala in our lives. The RN’s and all other staff are wonderful

Reception Angela (maybe her fake name)is nightmare. She knows nothing about the booking system . F* up the appointment for the patient. She doesn’t even care about it. Treat patient as nothing. Unbelievable working attitude. Especially in a medical industry. I would rate the clinic 0 star is I can. All because of the terrible reception!

I have been seeing Dr. Selvaranjani Thillairajah for several years now and have found her to always be professional, patient, caring and has ensured that all my health outcomes can be as good as possible. Highly recommend her.

Not a good service this time. The doctor phoned about an hour late. I had to phone reception to ask what the hell was going on. This doctor sent me for a blood test but didn’t tell me I had to fast. So I had to again go back the next day to have the test. He didn’t tell me what to do for the antibiotics (e.g. not to eat for 1/2 hour). I had to ask him! I asked him to send blood tests to my email address. He failed to do this. I’ve been there before and seen another dr who was good. However, I will never see this dr again.

Recently relocated to a more convenient location but same great people. I've always had the best attention and care from Dr. Pathi and the rest of the staff there. Waiting time is minimal. Recommended.

Met Dr.Komathy with my son. Very good doctor in my opinion. Didnt start of prescribing medicines as many other doctors do. Listened to our concerns, pointed out to environment in the house and the fact that we are in Spring and natural ways to alleviate the issue. Despite being an Allopathic doctor she prescribed simple solutions to get rid of my son's cough. Sometimes you need less medicine and proper advice for simple problems.

Reception staff are extremely professional and attentive and having recently moved from regional NSW, finding a new GP is always daunting. I certainly lucked in with Dr Miah, as he has been brilliant on the few occasions that i have been required to see him for chronic illness. I highly recommend this clinic and Dr Miah.

Receptionists were able to squeeze me in literally last minute even though they were fully booked. I was pretty desperate to get to a doctor and I was seen quickly too with no waiting time which was even better. The doctor was also very kind and welcoming. :-)

This is the only place I would ever go! I drive over 30 minutes just to see my doctor, he is the only one to investigate and diagnose my illness and has since looked out for me and has guided me on my health journey. It so rare to find a group of professionals that have their priorities in check for the better of their clients. I have been to doctors at other practices who just look at you as another number on their todo list and barely examine you. You won’t be disappointed with this practice. The whole team is amazing!

We were visiting from interstate and we were able to get a prompt appointment with ease after one of the youth from out trip injured her ankle. It was very convenient that radiology was within the same complex and thinking we may need to attend another location made it unnecessary which streamlined the whole process

Excellent in every way. The reception staff is very polite and friendly, administration of the clinic is very professional, doctors are very kind and helpful and the nurses are are very prompt and gentle. Very highly recommended clinic for health needs.

***New Policy*** Dont see sick kids unless they have a negative PCR. RAT test no longer accepted. Lets wait for the kids to get more sick while waiting for the PCR even though the rest of australia accepts RAT and hospitals are overloaded! Reception staff are also very aggressive when asking a few simple questions about the new policy.

The Reception Staff are very efficient and friendly. Dr’s especially my one is also more aware of mental health issues than any other doctor practice I’ve been to. 10/10 would recommend to anybody always a pleasant experience.

I am most impressed with Castle Hill Family Doctors (CFHD) for a number of reasons. They are friendly, genuine, professional and timely. Notwithstanding emergencies, it amazes me how Doctors invariably keep me waiting, why is their time more valuable than mine? Over many years, the longest I've had to wait at CHFD is ten minutes, they are good timekeepers who respect mine.

Wonderful Medical Centre, great friendly staff, helpful in every way. Dr Roberts always provides excellent care and listens to concerns and acts upon them professionally. Always feel well informed. Thank you for being the dedicated, thoughtful and compassionate doctor that you are!
