After living overseas for 9 years, and remembering El Jannah as the restaurant in Granville. Coming back to find out they've grown, franchised out worried me... Till today. My god this chicken is still as amazing, the sauce is less intense now (back in the days I couldn't breathe after a dip of garlic sauce 😅) now it's much smoother. I have yet to try the burgers.

Lovedd the charcoal grilled chicken taste. Fried was ok in comparison.. Only sad thing was 15% long weekend surcharge on the bill... otherwise will definitely like to come back..

(ISSUE RESOLVED BY MANAGEMENT PROFESSIONALLY) I wouldn’t have posted this but no one picked up my call and don’t know where to register my complaint. I ordered chicken meal and burgers and chicken was all burnt and black. And I ended up throwing my food. Pathetic experience. Looking forward for someone to get back to me on this.

Absolute Thieves. Do NOT trust this business - these people are scammers. I ordered food from this business and they took my money and refused to provide the food in return. I hope you listen to this review to realise that these people WILL waste all your time and money with their shockingly horrid customer service. I hope nothing but the worst for them. Absolutely disgusting.

Easiest is to park in the residential street located at the rear entrance to this restaurant. I ordered online and it was busy when i arrived, but the pick up was quick and easy. Delicious charcoal chicken as expected and the garlic sauce which is to die for... can't complain =)

Usually they are pretty good and services is always top level. But unfortunately this last visit may be my last. I got the crispy wings and they were still pink on the inside and I got sick after eating it. Not sure if it was just one of those errors but I'll be thinking twice next time

Chicken and the pickles are almost always really amazing. Their fried chicken options are great too and I always get that chicken salt fix I crave when I order fries. I'd feel inclined to give them one more star if their standard garlic sauce was bigger, which I think may have also gone downhill a little since.

Always such fresh delicious food at El Janmah, so pleased to see that it’s consistent from store to store. The plate with sides is always plenty for us! The garlic sauce has to be some of the best we’ve ever had, the chips and seasoning are always so good and let’s not forget their signature char grilled chicken 🤤 Filled such a empty stomach haha

really expensive but you're definitely getting high quality worth the price, fried chicken is juicy without being greasy, and the flavours are reminiscent of KFC but heavy on the black pepper, really nice but again definitely expensive

Best charcoal chicken in town. Hands down. You can already smell it from outside Amazing marination. Juicy but well cooked. Even their fried ones are good and way better than KFC. The meal is enough for a family of 4, for 2 days... their garlic sauce is amazing too Must have once every week. Tabouli wasnt that great though ...

Great food but pathetic service! On multiple occasions, take away or dine in, the service is way below par. I hope they deliver service as good as their food.

Great costumer service i just went there today and the lady in the register(subii) greeted me with a smile and was friendly with my kids and she was very cheerful and as it was my first time she helped me choose our meal and food was delicious and the service was so fast would like to visit again thank you for the great service

I was very excited to go to El Jannah, to eat my favourite burger meal. But sadly once I was there, I specifically asked for my burger to have NO CHILLI in it, i also have proof that i said no chilli, but she still put chilli. And she also got my order wrong and mixed up, she charged me another $7 for the burger meal. Once I got my food from a man (who was working there as a waitress), I also asked him for tomato sauce, it took a while but he was very sweet and he deserved a raise, he was also very quick when I asked him to clean my table. When I tried the burger, it was very spicy and it tasted burnt. Let me know if you want her name.

I’m sure I’m not the only person to complain about the wait times for delivery. It’s honestly ridiculous. I’m sure you’ve gotten enough complaints to work on a solution. For me to order at 5pm and have one driver leave due to wait time and the second waiting about the same time for my order to arrive around 6:40 not once but twice is ridiculous. Your food is great but when it gets to me cold and having to wait an hour to break my fast then taste doesn’t really matter anymore. Do better!

Always easy to find park on the street, loved El Jannah from its Grenville place many years ago, the flavours now is not as good as it used to be, but it was like down from 10 to 9, still better than anywhere else.

Always reliably moist chicken. The furniture needs refreshing. Tables are a bit wonky, considering how many customers they serve. Quick service as always.

Their charcoal chicken is not in the best 10 in sydney, but their fried chicken is number 1. Order the feuded chicken, wings, tenders with their gravy sauce. You will be amazed, so much better than any KFC or fried chicken place I have tried in a long time. The spices give it the best flavour :) the gravy stops off. Their salads are standard. They are a bit slow mainly for delivery, but good fried chicken is always worth the wait, but don’t expect fast food. Not much service either. Very well priced though. Good meal, chicken was a little too charcoal burnt on outside skin which gave an after-taste but inside was cooked well, tender and juicy. Tasty chips and garlic sauce dip

Only if I can give them less than 1 star! Eljana punchbowl used to be one of the best restaurants in the area. After tonight's experience I will never eat there anymore. The shop was filthy: tables, floor and everything else. I walked in at 9:45 pm and they weren't busy at all. Tables were filthy as... Terribly disgusting... I asked one of the staff to clean a table for us, He replied: "they're clean, sit anywhere". Then I saw him cleaning one of the tables with a used napkin he took from one of the chicken box that was on a dirty table. So he used a used napkin without spraying the table and you can still see the dirty marks on the table. I have to mention that I paid a surcharge fee because it was boxing day. I asked for a refund after I couldn't speak to a manager and left the shop.

Had to cater for an amount of people we didn’t anticipate. The manager Omar helped us a lot and customer service from staff was excellent. Food was also great and fulfilling. Definitely will recommend to others.

God forbid you try to customise your order. I simply just asked if they could change the tender in a meal to an extra wing and apparently they can’t do that? each time i go i get served by girls with so much attitude the only nice person there is this middle aged lady who is so sweet bless her soul, someone make her a manager, she deserves it.

Awful service and confusing online ordering pickup system. Had made an order for pickup online and it wasn’t ready when I arrived. Staff said the order is being made. Okay fine, 15 minutes later and still nothing. Thought it was odd as everyone who had come in after me had already left with their orders. Asked the staff member where my order was and was rudely told I should have informed them I arrived. That’s exactly what I had done 15 minutes ago. Was told again it’s coming and received no apology whatsoever. To top it all off I realised chips were missing from the family meal when I got home. You guys should fix up your customer service and the way you arrange pick up orders as it not very clear (and this is not the first time this has happened). Will most definitely not be supporting the Punchbowl branch in the future.

Absolutely amazing food. Very good charcoaled chicken. Full juicy and tasty. Very good staff service as well.

The OG charcoal chicken. Absolutely delicious food, and the fastest I've been served compared to other El Jannah locations. Only lost a star because parking is a bit tricky and customer service could have been better.

I love your chicken but today i have had enough. The chicken is either burnt and dry, or not not cooked all the way through. The chips are always NOT salted enough and you have to ask for extra salt. Today i asked for extra salt, and the chips were salted perfectly but raw, undercooked, and the chicken was not burnt, but also undercooked, and two of the pieces had a weird smell.

El Jannah Punchbowl is elite. I’ve been going here since I was a kid and it’s consistently good every single time. Best charcoal chicken in Sydney hands down. I also tried their chilli chicken burger for the first time and it’s up there. Definitely try them if you haven’t.
