This review is for the wedding chapel services at the Beverly Hills Courthouse! I was honored to be a wedding photographer at my couple's courthouse elopement here. I was pleasantly surprised by our experience here! We had the last time slot of the day on a Wednesday. Every single staff member we encountered was absolutely lovely and in positive spirits. While we were in the waiting area, the woman who checked us in was so incredibly kind. We were able to hit our time slot a little bit earlier than scheduled as well! The judge was so sweet and the ceremony itself was very thoughtful and intentional. We had a positive experience and I can't say enough good things!

Currently sitting in my car waiting to enter the court house for a traffic ticket, it baffles me how the court can punish anyone with a traffic violation given how incompetent they are for starter this court has been pursuing me for nearly a year and half for a traffic ticket that should have never been issued to me. Due to covid issues the court house kept rescheduling my court date the first time I never got a letter and showed up to be told they’re not seeing anyone the second time they did send out a notice stating that my court dat had been rescheduled the third time I never got a notice and showed up to be delayed again. this is my fourth time up here and now I have wait in my car until they’re ready to see me. On to the ticket the the vehicle I was using belonged to a big scooter company that’s notoriously incompetent I was pulled over for expired registration the company said they renewed the registration, the cop informed me that the ticket would not affect me and would only penalize the company only to find out that my drivers license was placed on hold I showed up to the court house spoke with clerks office and she smirked as she admitted the cop lied and even on the ticket it says the name on the registered owner so that means not one single person in the court house actually even read the ticket to see the vehicle was not registered to me. With this overwhelming incompetence this court house shouldn’t be deciding anyone’s driving privileges or making any judgments

The worst court service ever. How do they even call themselves a Superior Court??? The court clerk should be fired...they are not answering the phone and when they pick up the phone finally, they hang up. I called from 2pm to 3:30pm even though they hang up every time thinking that someone will pick up and when they finally do, they hang up. The traffic ticket said that you need to pay bail but on the information sheet that they sent with it said, you don't have to pay bail. So what is correct???

Does anyone even work here? What’s the point of handing out tickets and we aren’t able to get a hold of anyone to speak to? Pretty useless courthouse and police department. Where is the reliability?

I really wanna give a positive review but I can’t lie nor look away, Normally when u work for the county it’s because you like helping people that’s how I understand and admire people who works for the county, my experience with the clerks is nothing but a let down let’s just put at that as you can see from the ratings their getting its really bad and pls don’t think that’s normal cause it’s a traffic court coz that’s just a mere excuse and ignoring the real issue, there’s something wrong with the people that works here, un helpful and rude like they have heard it all and that’s wrong to make assumptions. They need to address the complaints and improve and hope they do, pls do have compassion and more understanding instead of finding ways to be little the person, because we are people too not a robot or a machine

I can’t seem to get through to an actual person when I call. I have to appear in court for a traffic ticket this month & I can’t get ahold of anyone to figure out if the courthouse will be open considering the current pandemic. their website does not mention anything about alternative hours. If anyone has any info with sources let me know.

My clients and I arrived early for their Beverly Hills Courthouse wedding, only to find out the couple forgot the marriage license. No problem! Not only did the staff accommodate a later start time, they recommended the outdoor patio for bride photos while the groom retrieved the license. Thank you to everyone at the Beverly Hills courthouse for making this a great day for the bride & groom!

Heads up- if you’re trying to pay a ticket, the Clerk’s Office opens at 8:30, not 8 like says on the website (and the front of the building and Google Maps). And not at 8:15 like it says on the Clerk’s Office door.

This is basically a courtesy photo post for anyone trying to do a mini ceremony here. I was expecting a room like the images that someone posted in 2019/2020 — NOPE. This is the civil ceremony room as of August 2023. It’s bright yellow with black, shiny vinyl stickers on the wall, and to faux greenery back drops in the corners of the room. The podium that the officiant uses looks like a covid era TSA booth with clear plastic barriers around it. That being said, the check-in process was easy, the officiant was nice enough to wait for everyone in the party to arrive before starting, basically it seemed like they did the ceremony kind of whenever, up until they close for the day. They were not super stickler about appointment time, and thank goodness cause I was stressing out because people didn’t show up on time. Each staff/security person that we encountered wished us a congrats, and everyone was very nice.

Nobody has discussed the L A County Sheriffs who provides security for both the building on the court. Upon arriving, I found them to be friendly, helpful and empathetic to my problem. They didn’t issue the Beverly Hills red light camera ticket but they explained to me what was the correct process to handle my complaint regarding the ticket. There was one officer with a definite New York accent that was a bundle of energy and extremely helpful five stars for that crew. I was there on a Friday, and the place was crowded with brides and grooms and wedding parties.

Apparently only 1 person in an office with at least 5 people working can serve a line of 10 people. I'm standing in this long, slow line and I see numerous office staff sitting and chatting, slowly working on whatever it is they're working on. This place is horrible. UPDATE: one of the office staff is sitting at her desk, singing. Audibly. The line has grown by 2 more people. There is still only one woman helping everyone. UPDATE 2: another one of the office staff is leaning up against a cubicle having a nice little chat. Sat down at her desk after a few minutes of that. See photo

The customer service from the people behind the window is so poor. I even said "hi, how are you?' she was so unhappy I was even there. The office moral is pretty low . The sheriff's who work there are awesome! So friendly and helpful, very warm and inviting. I cannot say enough on those guys as you enter, very nice to interact with. Giving more stars due to them I guess that's how it goes working for the state/city?

I will say as far as courthouse is go one. This is a very pretty courthouse and things run pretty fast here which is great. If you need to get something done and don't have time to wait, parking is okay. I would say anticipate street parking and bring your coins or card lol. Everyone seems nice as long as you're nice to them

If you think you're going to get justice here, FORGET ABOUT IT. The judge, Pamela A. Davis, puts on a good show to create the illusion she actually cares. In fact, a person can get away with a judgement against them just by evading the processer from serving them- she doesn't care and will say you still need to serve the person, even if you have tried for a year. If you have had problems with this judge, I found out you can file a complaint with her superior, the honorable Samantha P. Jessner by writing a letter to her at Los Angeles County Superior Court 111 North Hills Street Los Angeles, CA 90012. I surely will be writing one.

This Morning, I had an opportunity to listen in on a public civil suit presented in courtroom 207 in Beverly Hills superior courthouse. Michael E. Whitaker was an excellent ruler. In my opinion, Whitaker is a fair judge and also an excellent listener. Whittaker showed no signs of prejudice or biased behavior. He let both parties deliberate before his ruling base on a motion error. Whittaker gave both parties thirty days to come up with a mutual agreement before his final ruling. I highly recommend anyone interested in law sit in on his cases. You will learn a lot.
