Be aware that Petbarn often has different sale prices for their online store and in-store products! I was receiving emails from them over the last couple of weeks about sale items, and I headed into store today to stock up on some Nexgard Spectra before the sale ended. A six-pack for my dog usually costs $154.99, and over the counter $31 was taken off this item, meaning that it cost me $123.99. Upon getting home and rechecking online (because I was sure it was cheaper there!) I found that the advertised price was $98.99 - a whopping twenty-five bucks cheaper! Rest assured that I drove back to the store to get a $25 refund! I feel sorry for the poor staff who have to deal with this discrepancy on a daily basis...

Went in to get a fish for my freshwater tank. Had lost a couple of fish close together in time, the staff offered to test my tank water for free. It is a service they offer. Very friendly and attentive staff.

I was in a rush to get my dog food and they had an offer on and the assistant helped me work out the price comparison to buying a bigger bag , he was efficient and pleasant too! I like the convenience of pulling up right outside the door!

I went here to pick out some toys for my older cat. Staff were friendly and helpful but not too pushy and let me browse. They had a good selection. Easy for parking as well.

Service wasn't the best as I had to go to the counter on many occasions to ask for help,otherwise prices where large range of pet food.

My puppy JUST LOVES dropping in to stock up on food and treats! The staff are great and always on hand to help out, with advice, a hand to carry my purchases or to give Pikelet some love and attention. She loves the treats they give her when we are leaving too!

First visit to this store i didnt even know existed in Newcastle West until i Googled all pet supplies close to my home in Hamilton on Tuesday afternoon 7th Nov to purchase a new set of pet clippers desperately due to my clippers seizing halfway through grooming my dog was an experience from when I entered the store to when I left and have no words to say other than. Perfect Customer Service 💯% Absolutely Sublime. Thank You Immensely.

Our go to store for everything we need for our cat. The staff are really helpful and the range of products is extensive. Prices are competitive and being so close to Newcastle city, it’s very convenient. There is a small parking area and street parking too. I’ve shopped at other competitor stores, but always return to Petbarn.
