Based
on
my
own
experiences
of
selling
new/used
cars/automotive
finance
for
close
to
a
decade
(before
swapping
industries),
it
is
of
my
opinion
that
Castle
Hill
VW
is
run
unprofessionally,
by
arrogant
staff.
My
experience
was
marred
throughout
with
unprofessional-ism
and
I
was
left
feeling
extremely
disappointed;
my
personal
suggestion
would
be
to
look
elsewhere.
My
experience
may
be
isolated
(but
certainly
not
unique)
judging
by
other
reviews.
However,
my
experience
left
me
feeling
so
disenfranchised
that
I
was
compelled
to
write
this
review.
I
came
across
Castle
Hill
VW
due
to
a
well
priced
Golf
Alltrack
Premium
Demo
on
Carsales.
I
rang
the
dealer;
took
me
4
times
to
not
reach
message
bank.
Seems
they
did
not
have
a
receptionist/concierge
around,
was
(confirmed
by
the
empty
reception
on
my
arrival).
I
originally
dismissed
this
due
to
inquiring
on
a
Friday
afternoon
(as
they
must
be
busy),
however
the
showroom
was
completely
void
of
guests
for
most
of
my
time
there.
Took
the
sales
exec
10
min
to
find
the
key,
only
found
it
after
roughly
dumping
about
15
other
keys
stored
in
a
black
satin
bag
on
a
desk.
Car
was
filthy,
appeared
to
be
a
staff
members
company
car
due
to
the
dirt/grease/grime/personal
items
left
in
the
car.
Had
sign
writing
on
the
windscreen
stating
“5
Years
free
servicing”.
Without
asking,
the
sales
exec
pointed
out
that
offer
was
now
expired
but
she
“could
probably
do
something
about
that”.
(After
the
test
drive
without
asking
she
immediately
informed
me
the
price
was
“rock
bottom”
so
it
seems
that
wasn’t
true.
Also,
why
was
it
still
on
the
windscreen
then
if
it
was
expired?).
Overall
the
demeanor
of
the
sales
exec
was
friendly
enough;
however
I
felt
as
if
I
had
to
prompt
and
spoon
feed
her
info
about
my
needs/wants,
my
trade
in,
desired
method
of
funding,
and
the
like.
She
was
more
interested
in
pointing
out
features
I
hadn’t
asked
about,
occasionally
correcting
herself
for
features
which
were
in
fact
not
available
on
the
car
e.g.
blind
spot
monitoring.
Also
incorrectly
advised
me
on
features
about
the
digital
dashboard
multiple
times
(which
another
dealer
corrected,
more
on
that
later).
I
felt
she
was
extremely
inexperienced,
incompetent,
or
had
received
poor/no
training,
and
I
felt
like
I
would
almost
had
to
give
her
the
sale.
Test
drive
was
a
decent
length
of
drive/route,
sales
exec
was
somewhat
accommodating
with
my
queries
and
requests.
However,
when
I
informed
her
I
was
also
evaluating
a
Subaru,
her
response
was
“eww”
followed
by
a
series
of
questions
as
to
why
I
would
want
to
evaluate
a
Japanese
volume
brand
with
a
“disgusting
CVT”
and
that
“the
DSG
is
the
best
gearbox
in
the
world”.
Extremely
unprofessional,
almost
what
you’d
expect
to
hear
from
a
child.
Was
offered
valuation
of
my
trade
in.
About
5
min
after
handing
over
my
keys
the
Used
Car
Manager
came
back;
failing
to
ask
me
about
service
history,
spare
keys,
yet
spent
a
minute
justifying
how
old/damaged/worn
out
my
car
was
and
how
“BMW's
are
flooding
the
used
car
market”,
before
stating
my
car
was
worth
half
its
actual
market
value
(at
the
least,
half
of
what
I
was
actually
paid,
so
go
figure).
I
get
the
game/why
he
offered
me
a
low
figure,
but
straight
after
within
earshot
I
heard
him
joking
to
the
sales
exec
about
how
“you’ve
just
gotta
hit
them
between
the
eyes”
and
how
it’s
really
“that
easy”.
I
think
that
reflected
the
level
of
professionalism
of
the
dealership
in
general
due
to
the
points
above.
There
are
plenty
of
other
examples,
but
simply;
the
sum
of
their
unprofessional-ism
was
unacceptable
to
me,
and
they
cost
themselves
a
sale.
Luckily
they
did,
as
I
went
and
bought
the
car
from
my
local
dealer.
$5k
better
deal
incl
trade
for
a
MY19.5
than
“rock
bottom
”
on
a
year
old
MY18
with
3,000km,
scratches,
8
months
less
warranty/rego,
and
covered
in
filth.
Here’s
my
new
Alltrack
from
Central
Coast
VW.
Go
there
and
ask
for
Tom.
Or
just
pick
one
of
the
20+
other
VW
dealers
in
the
Sydney
metro
area.
