I
had
my
2018
VW
Polo
Beats
serviced
here
this
week.
(3
year
scheduled
service)
Shannon
was
the
service
advisor
who
served
me,
he
was
polite
and
friendly.
Dropped
my
car
off
at
7.30am
and
picked
it
up
around
1.30pm.
The
estimated
pickup
time
was
3
or
4pm
so
my
car
service
was
completed
earlier
than
expected.
Received
a
phone
call
letting
me
know
my
car
would
be
ready
in
1
hour.
The
advanced
notice
was
a
nice
touch.
You
drive
your
car
directly
inside
the
workshop
building
at
their
drop
off
station.
The
workshop
itself
looks
clean
and
modern,
the
workshop
space
is
huge.
Unfortunately
because
of
the
COVID-19
pandemic,
I
wasn’t
able
to
wait
in
their
lounge,
and
their
shuttle
van
wasn’t
operating.
I
also
hadn’t
requested
a
hire
car
beforehand.
So
had
to
make
my
own
way
home
by
ride-share,
which
is
understandable
and
no
ones
fault;
just
something
to
be
aware
of,
especially
if
the
pandemic/lockdowns
continue
throughout
2021
and
into
2022/2023.
The
service
centre
is
located
in
an
industrial
area
with
nothing
really
nearby.
Picking
up
my
car
was
nice
and
easy,
my
car
was
waiting
for
me
right
in
front
of
the
VW
service
office,
washed
and
the
carpets
vacuumed.
Shannon
explained
what
was
done
to
car
and
I
paid
by
card.
There
weren’t
any
surprises
in
the
bill.
At
the
end
you
are
also
given
a
small
box
of
Castle
Hill
Volkswagen
branded
chocolates
as
a
gift.
It’s
not
Lindt
quality
but
it’s
a
nice
gesture.
I
have
had
my
car
serviced
at
Penrith
Volkswagen,
Blacktown
Volkswagen
and
now
Castle
Hill
Volkswagen.
Software
firmware
updates
and
navigation
map
updates
are
free/no
charge
at
Penrith
Volkswagen
and
Castle
Hill
Volkswagen.
I
specifically
requested
these
updates
during
booking,
don’t
know
if
the
VW
dealerships
do
it
automatically.
Blacktown
Volkswagen
did
try
to
charge
me
for
it,
but
when
I
said
don’t
worry
about
it,
they
offered
to
do
it
for
free.
I
have
a
feeling
they
already
did
the
update
when
they
called
and
just
tried
to
see
if
I
would
pay
for
it.
Installing
new
headlight
bulbs
(that
I
purchased
elsewhere
and
provided)
and
removing
the
old
ones
were
however
free/no
charge
at
Blacktown
Volkswagen,
whereas
at
Penrith
Volkswagen
it
was
$20
and
at
Castle
Hill
Volkswagen
it
was
$40.
So
there
are
a
few
small
differences
between
the
3
Volkswagen
dealerships.
All
3
were
fine
to
be
honest,
no
horror
stories
to
report.
But
to
be
fair
I’ve
only
had
straightforward
yearly
scheduled
services,
as
my
car
hasn’t
had
any
major
issues
fortunately.
Castle
Hill
probably
has
the
easiest
access,
it’s
service
centre
isn’t
attached
to
a
dealership,
it’s
located
at
its
own
standalone
building.
Parking,
drop
offs
and
pickups
are
super
easy
and
convenient.
The
service
was
good,
all
my
requests
and
concerns
were
addressed,
I
was
treated
well
by
Shannon
(service
advisor)
and
the
price
for
the
headlight
bulbs
was
fair,
reading
online
forums
the
pricing
sounds
about
right,
albeit
higher
than
the
other
two
VW
dealerships
I’ve
been
to.
I
was
also
able
to
make
a
booking
here
on
short
notice,
the
other
VW
dealerships
were
fully
booked
for
the
next
1
or
2
weeks.
I
would
be
absolutely
fine
servicing
my
car
here
again.
After
moving
houses
it’s
now
the
closest
VW
dealership
to
me.
Edit:
I
finally
had
the
chance
to
test
out
the
headlights
at
night
and
the
alignment
of
the
beam
pattern
is
much
better
than
the
previous
times
I
had
the
bulbs
changed
at
other
dealerships.
I
can
see
a
lot
more
of
the
road
at
night.
