If I could leave zero stars I would have. Had a standard service done on my 2021 vehicle. Service said the car was absolutely in pristine condition. Next day the engine warning lights come on. I ring and service tells me it’s not safe to drive the car. They can book me in 2 weeks time. Call again and they said no it’s fine to drive and that I can easily do the remedy myself at home. Umm no I’m not a qualified mechanic! Called VW assist who said do NOT drive that car it needs to be towed. Under no circumstances to drive. Castle Hill Volkswagen refuse to either pick the car up or provide a mobile mechanic to fix the problem. Refuse any form of compensation to assist with the problem they’ve created. 0 stars.

I am sorry but my experience with them is horrendous! Totally unprofessional, sheer incompetence and clueless! To top it, their service advisor tried to browbeat me to hide their inefficiency! I had a problem with key remotes and booked a service with them. After waiting 10 days, wasting 3 hours and AUD 200, they told that they can't sort out the problem and I may have to buy new electronic unit worth AUD 9000. They asked me more time, more money to troubleshoot and when they listened that I have taken car to another locksmith before them, browbeat me by telling that I am a dishonest person! They never cared to ask me in the first place what I have done to solve the problem before taking my car for diagnostics! I returned from them empty handed. I approached Ultimate Locksmith in Thornleigh and lo, they were able to preprogramme the remotes within 30 minutes and 50 AUD. No Hardware issue! I have never seen more obnoxious behavior by any customer facing executive - Their understanding of customer service is ZERO! My suggestion is to avoid them at all costs unless unavoidable !!

If you own a Volkswagen DO NOT take it here for servicing! The staff are condescending and rude, can't fix issues and unwilling to help. I've had a constant coolant leak issue with my Golf GTI since 2018 and they still can't (or won't) fix it even after it broke down on the side of the road and had to be towed back to the service centre. Now it's conveniently out of warranty they have advised the problem is due to a broken water pump and charging me over $750 to fix. Customers beware of this place, take your money else where!

After my local mechanic of 20 years retired up the coast I was skeptical a dealership would offer the same level of customer service - had some bad experiences in the past - But Castle Hill VW offer Excellent service, decent bunch of people. Your car comes back driving and looking better than when it went in! Can't ask for more than that.

Had my Amarok 75000 km serviced last 8/6/22 and looks like they have not checked it properly as per attached invoice. Yesterday I noticed that my front brake sound is alarming like the brake is fully worn-out. So I have it checked today and I was right it's badly damaged. I am so disappointed with the fact that they have not checked it properly on this last service. The brake should have been replaced in the first place. Also the abnormal sound of my car is still undiagnosed. This happens when I am travelling uphill or in the slope ramp at slow speed, I can hear an abnormaI sound of my transmission. I won't ever use this Volkswagen service anymore.

The worst rip off scammers. Had a air bag fault within 1st year of buying a brand new car. Was fixed after 5 years comes back again which is a safety hazard. Call them they say need to diagnose and charge me for the diagnosis. They knew it's the same fault and car has a factory fault which should be covered by VW regardless outside 5 year period. They took my $300 and say sorry VW can't do anything it's outside warranty bs. It's an ongoing issue and a factory fault. They should take responsibility and fix it without any cost. Case is with NCAT, ACCC every avenue I get, need my $300, refunded. What a scammers never go there people beware you will be ripped off.

I took my 2021 Tiguan for the 1st serving and reported clicking noice. The service centre took 2 days and found the issue but doesn’t want to replace the part because they couldn’t find any fault in the part. Apparently the part will cost the service centre and they don’t want to order/replace the part. I was told it is the car design fault. I have contacted the Vw contact centre to make a complaint and I have been asked to take my car to different service centre as Castle hill service centre do not want to cooperate. It is disappointing that service centre wouldn’t replace the parts under warranty and suggested me to leave with it.

I’ve been taking my VW Passat to VW Castle Hill for the past 5 years. I’ve had two cars both serviced and maintained here and they have always been punctual, professional and knowledgeable in their dealings. A special mention to Shannon who’s always taken care of my cars, even for little inspections when I wanted things checked or clarified. VW Castle Hill have also always organised pickup and drop-off services or loan cars whenever my services are done. I really appreciate the work the service team do both in customer service and mechanically. Will continue to bring my cars here in the future. Highly recommend!

Consultant was very helpful and efficient. He got my tyre pressure on my vehicle checked and the indicator on my dashboard removed within a few minutes. Will definitely come back here again.

I attended this business today and I will never use them again, I questioned the agent about what was to be done to the vehicle, as they indicated it would be a 45,000 km service, yet the car had only just clicked over to 23000 km, he assured me that was not a problem and that they went only the actual kilometres travelled. The agent, Justin seemed to become agitated with my questioning about what was going to be performed in the service. I left the vehicle with him and proceeded to the waiting room to wait for the completion of the service. A couple of hours later he returned with the paperwork and we discussed what had been done. I asked him if there was anything in the owners book about what was going to be performed at each service interval. He said that there wasn't anything, it was only known to the dealership, he then brought up what would be done to my car at the next service, which judging by the kilometres travelled to date, the car will have only travelled about 26,000kms. He said the next service showed that the car would need new spark plugs, I told him that was ridiculous, those spark plugs go to 100,000kms, (a fact that can be bourne out by the VW official website) the agent then became very annoyed and raised his voice to me, stating, "Don't argue with me", and with that got out of his seat and stormed off, leaving me sitting there. After giving this company my patronage for a number of years and having just parted with $743.00 for a service, I was certainly not expecting to be spoken to like my father spoke to me when i was 10 by someone 40 years my junior, and a customer as well. It would appear that this company does indeed go by time and not kilometres travelled, and you are not permitted to question their intent in any way. The particular agent concerned speaks to people like a pig whenever he is questioned, I think he needs a serious attitude adjustment, otherwise he will be damaging this business severely.

This is the first time I took my Golf Alltrack there for its fourth annual service. I'm impressed with the politeness and professionalism of the service team. I had raised the concern of potential coolant leaking. They have identified the source and since the fixing will potentially a day works, Justin has booked in for another visit and the fix will be covered by warranty, a loan car will be provided. During the service, there was another trim related issue found and was fixed under warranty as well. Brakes issues were found and the cost of fixing is communicated in advance prior fixing. The whole service journey is a breeze I would definitely go there in the future.

I took my carGolf STI to VW Blacktown for engine diagnostic they told me that to fix this problem is going to set me back $3890.00 and that I have to fix it asap otherwise the car will be worse .So I said to myself I should have a second opinion I took the car to VW Castle Hill and saw a service adviser and his name was Justin he told me leave the car with me for 3 hours and I'll check it for you after 2 or 3 hours he called me and said this problem is covered by VW Australia There is no words to thank Justin for his genuine help he is honest and trustworthy and because of him l will definitely service my at VW Castle Hill Thank you Justin

There was a small confusion with the part of my car today. The service team so kindly left chocolates and gave my car a full clean for the confusion. So happy with them thank you very much. :)

Great service centre, couldn't do enough for me, I took the 'care package' when I bought the car, which came with three (3) free services. I have had this 'deal' on other vehicles I have owned and there are always some additional costs. At VW there were no extra cost, total service, including parts, was covered in the 'care package'. Definetely recommend VW (apart from thinking they are a great car anyway)

Thanks Shannon for going through my vehicle with me and letting me know exactly what was done. Thanks for caring Mark, you've got a great team! Kind Regards, Paul

You might pay a bit more for VW service but it’s worth it. You feel valued and the staff are straight talkers. They also wash and clean the car, which I love.

I had my 2018 VW Polo Beats serviced here this week. (3 year scheduled service) Shannon was the service advisor who served me, he was polite and friendly. Dropped my car off at 7.30am and picked it up around 1.30pm. The estimated pickup time was 3 or 4pm so my car service was completed earlier than expected. Received a phone call letting me know my car would be ready in 1 hour. The advanced notice was a nice touch. You drive your car directly inside the workshop building at their drop off station. The workshop itself looks clean and modern, the workshop space is huge. Unfortunately because of the COVID-19 pandemic, I wasn’t able to wait in their lounge, and their shuttle van wasn’t operating. I also hadn’t requested a hire car beforehand. So had to make my own way home by ride-share, which is understandable and no ones fault; just something to be aware of, especially if the pandemic/lockdowns continue throughout 2021 and into 2022/2023. The service centre is located in an industrial area with nothing really nearby. Picking up my car was nice and easy, my car was waiting for me right in front of the VW service office, washed and the carpets vacuumed. Shannon explained what was done to car and I paid by card. There weren’t any surprises in the bill. At the end you are also given a small box of Castle Hill Volkswagen branded chocolates as a gift. It’s not Lindt quality but it’s a nice gesture. I have had my car serviced at Penrith Volkswagen, Blacktown Volkswagen and now Castle Hill Volkswagen. Software firmware updates and navigation map updates are free/no charge at Penrith Volkswagen and Castle Hill Volkswagen. I specifically requested these updates during booking, don’t know if the VW dealerships do it automatically. Blacktown Volkswagen did try to charge me for it, but when I said don’t worry about it, they offered to do it for free. I have a feeling they already did the update when they called and just tried to see if I would pay for it. Installing new headlight bulbs (that I purchased elsewhere and provided) and removing the old ones were however free/no charge at Blacktown Volkswagen, whereas at Penrith Volkswagen it was $20 and at Castle Hill Volkswagen it was $40. So there are a few small differences between the 3 Volkswagen dealerships. All 3 were fine to be honest, no horror stories to report. But to be fair I’ve only had straightforward yearly scheduled services, as my car hasn’t had any major issues fortunately. Castle Hill probably has the easiest access, it’s service centre isn’t attached to a dealership, it’s located at its own standalone building. Parking, drop offs and pickups are super easy and convenient. The service was good, all my requests and concerns were addressed, I was treated well by Shannon (service advisor) and the price for the headlight bulbs was fair, reading online forums the pricing sounds about right, albeit higher than the other two VW dealerships I’ve been to. I was also able to make a booking here on short notice, the other VW dealerships were fully booked for the next 1 or 2 weeks. I would be absolutely fine servicing my car here again. After moving houses it’s now the closest VW dealership to me. Edit: I finally had the chance to test out the headlights at night and the alignment of the beam pattern is much better than the previous times I had the bulbs changed at other dealerships. I can see a lot more of the road at night. +1 to Castle Hill VW
