This place has terrible management and a horrible communication system. When you call be prepared to be on hold for a long time. In my experience the staff has often times been rude and short. Today was no exception. Never a pleasant experience. On this day , I called to book an appointment for some screening my primary care doctor ordered. I was on hold for 26 minutes. When they finally answered I was told I had to get re registered in their new data system because they had switched systems and my info didn’t automatically transfer over to the new system. How efficient and convenient of them. I was transferred to a different person to register me all over again. After I was on hold for 13 minutes a live person who answered and was either hard of hearing or English was her second language. She spoke over me several times and I spelled my name three time’s.....I almost hung up. She finally registered me then (get this) had to transfer me back to the original person to book the actual appointment. Are you kidding me????? After another12 minutes I got an appointment. It took 51 minutes to get an appointment. Worst experience ever. Strongly considering never going there again. I Don’t recommend. Where is their management???? Would rate them 0 stars if I could. NEW on 7/6/21 I called Dr. Rameneni’s office at Pentucket Medical to refill a prescription for my Mother. I was very clear and specific with the receptionist that my mother had 2 days worth of the medication remaining and to please not send it to the mail in pharmacy CVS Caremark because she would not have the Rx for 7-10 days. I specified a local CVS. On 7/7 I followed up and was told by Erika at Dr. Rameneni’s office that it was sent to CVS/Caremark . I said that would not work and I needed it at the local pharmacy as I had requested the day before. Erika called me back and told me “all set it was sent to the local CVS”. I also asked for a 90 day supply because my mother will be in Europe and will need the larger supply to carry her thru her stay in Europe. Today 7/8/21 I went to The local CVS and found out not only was the Rx sent to CVS/Caremark which will take 7-10 days to arrive but it is only for a 30 day not the 90 day supply requested on 7/6 and needed. It is never easy with Pentucket Medical. Long hold wait times always on the phone and multiple calls to get it right. It’s so tiresome to have to deal with this all the time. I’m never surprised when it’s wrong. Ive come to expect it. Tomorrow I’ll have to call again and start all over with a different person and explain the whole story again. But who really cares there that my mother is at risk and now without her medication??? Surely not Pentucket Medical. Awesome!! On 7/9 I had to physically go to Dr Rameneni’s office to get the prescription filled since it’s been 4 days of repeated calls and no resolution no RX. I waited in the office for 43 minutes to be told the Rx order had been sent to the local CVS. Because they also had sent it to CVS/CAREMARK and didn’t cancel that order I was on the phone with the insurance for over 30 minutes to request an override so CVS can give me the Rx. Still waiting for the approval and my mother has now been two days without this critical medication. Finally I was able to get the Rx from the CVS but because Pentucket Medical ordered it thru mail order I had to pay full price because the insurance is already paying for the mail order coming in 7-10 days. Not only was my Mom without medicine for two days but it cost her $36 so she wouldn’t have to wait another week. THIS IS THE MOST CARELESS INCONVENIENT INEPT SERVICE FROM PENTUCKET MEDICAL. It takes multiple calls and days to get something that should take no more than 5 minutes on the phone if they bothered to listen and follow through.

Apparently PMA hasn’t gotten with the 21st century and they’re still using paper documents? In order to get your medical records over to a new Dr you need to jump through hoops and drive back to Massachusetts from another state to sign some piece of paper and it’s still going to take them over a week to send over the documents? Seems like they just go out of their way to be unhelpful. No wonder 80% of their reviews in the past year are terrible

Not happy at the way I’m treated half the time, I really need to find a new doctor’s office, never get to see my primary doctor always put with a np or pa. I don’t recommend! Also can’t talk to anyone on the phone if you do, you will just get hung up on, happened a lot of times, they always book appointments for me without even asking if any day or time works for me, then get upset because I canceled the appointment because I’m not available. 👎🏻👎🏻🤬😡

Don't come here. The receptionist is rude. Unfortunately I didn't get her name but her attitude towards us is why we won't be coming here again. We came in for an appointment in the afternoon and Unfortunately because of traffic, we were 20 mins late. We came from west NH which is far and when we discovered we would be a little late, we called ahead. She said that was fine, and she would let the doctor know. When we arrived (a different) receptionist coldly turned us down without even trying to care and she even closed the window on us. Never coming back here again. Don't come here if you expect any sympathy or kindness.

No matter how hard I try I cannot get ahold of a real person just to get an answer. I am waiting 6 months to even meet my PC Doctor. There is no way to get in touch with her office or to leave a message for someone to call you back. What is the point of having a doctor if one cannot access them. I have NEVER in my life seen a system like theirs. I bet if I owed them money they would be right there to talk to me. They even make it impossible to see her PA. or to leave him a message. If I could give zero stars I would because they have been nonexistent for me.

What a group of idiots from Andover to Lawrence to Haverhill I have not had one good experience. During my endoscopy colonoscopy the anesthesiologist was so rude and stuck up, pre oxygenated me with no warning (very uncomfortable) and also left the room during the time out. The nurse tried telling me propofol has anti nausea properties however if that was the case I wouldn’t be asking for simethicone. My first nurse during intake was very unknowledgeable as well. I think mass general Brigham just chose the least qualified candidates so they don’t have to pay very much.

The doctor turnover rate is appalling. I have had a new Doctor every 2 - 3 years. This alone makes me want to leave the Pentucket Medical altogether. Part of having a Doctor is having a relationship that is built on longevity and trust. Its not fair to ask the patient to continuously rebuild relationships every 2 years. If your staff wont stick around, why should patients?

I am very disappointed in the care I recieved today. I have been using Pentucket Medical Haverhill since I was a kid 3o years and sadly this office made VERY CLEAR that they prioritize insurance being in the system over care for a minor child. My son was denied not once but twice care because we forgot to bring our health insurance card inside. Children should never be denied care. I am very disappointed that no one thought to advocate for my son. Completely unacceptable. Insurance put into the system and wallah my son may have care.... -Sincerely one very upset mother

Terrible service! Waiting 45 minutes and longer to reach someone. I had lots of pain in my back. Waited two weeks to have my doctor finally answer my concern. Turns out I had pancreatic cancer. Also trying to have a perception filled. Was over a week! To get someones attention. Not excepable. Leaving the firm for good found. A better doctor and prompt service and somebody gets back to you ! Thank God..

Wow, PMA many bad reviews! Went to doctor office this morning asking for urinalysis because of lower back pain. I was told they would have to send a message to nurse because doctor not in until 10am. I told them I live 25 minutes away and need asap. They said they are not a walk in and I would have to wait for a call. This is a business with their policies and procedures, not a doctors office caring for the patient. PMA DO BETTER!

If I could give it a 0 star I would They are the rudest, most ignorant Medical building You can't ask them nothing without them saying you're screaming at them. They don't wanna do their job. They don't know nothing when you give them the right information. And they send you chasing your tail. If I was the district manager of that building. I would fire the entire crew doctors especially. They make you Chase your tail and don't tell you what you really need to give them in order. To be keen, I would rather die than be seen by someone at P. M. A How they still have their jobs is a miracle of God.😡🤬🤮🤢🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬

The check in staff is the most unprofessional and uneducated you will encounter. Especially the new girl is very rude and does not know how to treat patients. She behaves like she is bothered that a customer has arrived and she had to check them in and everything you say bothers her. So unprofessional. Very negative. She even spoke negatively to me about Dr.O'Brien whom I was there to see. It was unbelievable! I have never experienced such horrible treatment. I was going to bring this up to management at that visit but I was not feeling well so I did not but I hope Pentucket medical will take the time to train their front desk staff to have good customer service skills and treat patients with courtesy and care. I'm happy that at least the Medical assistant was very nice and treated me with respect. She was very kind. Thank You for this opportunity to voice my concerns and opinion. Kindly, Your Patient-

2nd & 3rd floor are great. 4th floor is awful. Especially the obgyn. The way the lab on the first floor answers the phone is emtremely loud, rude & faced paced. You should probably consider the fact that sick people with headaches will call you. I just hope next time you're sick, someone lacks compassion towards you, like you did to me. Maybe switch your profession to a morgue?

I’d been a patient of Dr. Bloom since I was a little kid. He was an excellent physician. After he left the practice, I found PMA’s continuation of care for established patients to be pretty poor. When I found a new PCP, their medical records department never sent anything over despite multiple signed request forms that included fee payment information. Disappointing, but not at all surprising for a large healthcare organization.

It was unusual that I had to wait 15 to 20 minutes past my appointment time to be seen, but it didn’t bother me that much. This is only an annual visit & it went as smoothly as ever, didn’t take long & the expert I saw—& see every year—was, as always, friendly& informative & answered my questions. Thank you. Stephanie

The office staff was completely unprofessional. Didn’t acknowledge me standing at the desk . I was finally acknowledged by someone from across the check in desk not even facing me. She yelled over to me asking me for my address , phone number.. etc. I waited for quite a while to be called when finally a very nice young lady that appeared to just arrived to work asked me if I was waiting to see a provider. I was out raged! the women that supposedly half heartedly checked me in never did and denied right in front of me that she never even spoke to me. Completely unprofessional! I’m happy to say that I had a much better experience with my provider which is what counts I guess! So as a whole I give 3⭐️. 0 for the office staff and 5⭐️For the medical staff!

I used to come here as a child. Now i bring my daughter here but let me tell you the way that the people who take the phone calls and schedule appointments are sooo rude and seem like they don’t even want to be there or help. They’ve changed the way you can make an appointment for a sick child. It’s ridiculous and I’m am furious every time i call i can never get an appointment with her primary care doctor i can’t even get an appointment now that she is sick with a fever. I love her primary care doctor but the people who are at the front desk and answer the phones and do the scheduling have me frustrated. I feel like after Covid the service has gone down and the people at the front desk do not care and as a parent that’s extremely frustrating.

I’ve been going to PMA since i was a little girl and this place never disappoints! I just want to say that the nurses are amazing and are so quickly with messaging me back on the portal ! And always going the extra mile to take care of me ! Katelin Cashman & Michelle Flanagan are the best nurses I’ve ever had the pleasure of seeing ! The front desk receptionist are very pleasant and friendly ! I feel like the younger Spanish girl at check out is a little rude and feels like she’s being bothered but other wise that doesn’t bother me, as long as the nurses and doctors are amazing, that’s all that matters ! :)
