First time to Melt and I wanted to try the chicken paprikash melt. Delicious! First bite and I knew it was done right. My wife got Wake & Bacon. Both were great. Staff was attwntive and friendly enough. Good location for this restaurant, being in close proximity to plenty of shopping. I'd like to return and try more food!

Pros: Their half sandwich was sufficient. A full sandwich may have been more than enough for me. The homemade fries were tasty with/without condiments 😋 Options on the menu were available for vegans, vegetarians, and carnivors. The patio became busy in the evening after 8 pm. Con: I was surprised to see the patio so mediocre. There was food lying in the patio area from previous customers that had not been swept. Military discount available: Forget to ask. Stars:⭐️⭐️⭐️1/3 based on my total experience.

This was my first time visiting the Columbus area and I was trying to find a local restaurant that my family and I would enjoy for lunch. Melt fulfilled all of the requirements and we had a really good time. We ordered mac and cheese, grilled cheese, monte cristo, and french onion soup. Everything was delicious and fresh. The atmosphere was lively and loud. It was almost too loud at times but I couldn’t dock a star for that. Just be warned if you or your child is sensitive to loud noises. Don’t pass this place up!

The food was fantastic. Top shel quality. And they have awesome gluten free options. The wait was short. The staff was attentive. Why not 5-stars? The atmosphere was totally not my thing. Maybe it’s yours, but the constant hard-rock music and four different movies playing over the bar gave me a nervous headache. I was about to leave and wait in the car when the food arrived. Again, the food was amazing. Next time, I’ll order it to go.

This place was awesome. The atmosphere was interesting and the menu was vast! I had the Cleveland Cheese Steak, it was OUT OF THIS WORLD GOOD! My wife had the Monte Cristo, and I stole a bite of that and it was also fantastic. For the table we ordered the fried pickles which I'm generally not a fan of, but I did enjoy these, and also the Pierogi's which were told was a new item. The flavor was great but was a little over fried. Definitely get the house made lemonade, highly recommend this place!!

The food is fantastic. But more then that the service is amazing Vicki and Victor and the manager Awww I think it’s something with a H” she knows how to run her shift. She definitely cares about her team and the customers. I dined in the night before, came back the next day with my cousin to introduce her to the melt bar sandwiches! You been dine on, take out or get it delivered. There’s even curbside

A delicious find in Columbus! Went here for a quick breakfast- got a 1/2 bacon, egg and cheese sandwich. The 1/2 portion is good enough for a meal; the full sandwich can be split into 2 meals or for 2 ppl. Would definitely come back here. So yum!

Melt is another place I'm absolutely devastated that we don't have back home. We've visited the Independence location outside of Cleveland and were thrilled to discover Columbus had it's own Melt location. We came for brunch and loved our food. I had the Wake and Bacon, it was everything I wanted it to be and the value was good. I also ordered a Pickled Bloody Mary and a Cream Soda Old Fashioned, both drinks were so good! The other people in my party loved their food as well. We were waited on by the bartender who was spectacular at her job, she had good suggestions for us and was very friendly and considerate. The decor was really cool, just like the Cleveland location, and finding unique art on the walls was a fun way to spend our time waiting. Melt has a myriad of vegetarian and vegan options and many items on the menu can be ordered and modified to fit those dietary concerns.

Went in yesterday and it wasn't busy at all. We had to wait over 20 mins for water and then we had to wait over 40 minutes just to get my drink (pink lemonade) . Asked about my drink and the server told me she had forgotten my drink and apologized and offered me cheese dip. I thought the cheese dip was an appeasement and thanked her. When I went to pay I found out I was charged for the cheese dip. On the receipt, it said 1 nacho cheese and 3 of nada so it ended up adding like $10 extra. Our Chilli cheese fries came out late and they forgot the Chilli cheese part and just brought us plain French fries. We still left a $10 tip even though we will not be returning to this establishment. Our server was Michelle. The food was delicious but the service was awful.

Pretty disappointing experience. Service was really slow to a point where my Mac and cheese came out cold. BUT food was overall really good. Would probably try another location for better service.

Next level grilled cheese! So many different options there is something for everyone. I had the Wet Hot Buffalo, daughter had the Hot Italian, and my husband had the Chicken and Waffle. They were all good but the Chicken and Waffle sandwich was AMAZING! Portion sizes are large and sandwiches come with fries so the 1/2 order is plenty! Highly recommend!!

If you don't know about Melt....this is a must try in Columbus. There are menu items for everyone, and executed well at that (and don't have to get a grilled cheese!) Christian at the bar gave us great service, thanks we appreciate ya!

The grilled cheese sandwiches are huge and the food was great but the service was not that great... Our table got passed over multiple times by our waitress and she could not multitask and slow but great atmosphere and food. I'd eat here again but id like a little faster service

The vegan options were really great. My husband got the Monte Cristo and I got the Wet Hot Buffalo Tofu. They were both so good. I look forward to our return!

Melt is a wonderful place, truly. I would recommend sticking to what they’re known for: Amazing grilled cheese sandwich concoctions. I tried to go rogue with a taco salad, and was really disappointed. No cheese?! But, my kiddo got the Kindergartner grilled cheese with fries, and it was perfection.

Okay dude straight up this is the first time I've been to the Eastern location it's in location but I think I like this just a tab bit more than the high street one location mainly because of parking lol It's hard to find parking in the short North without paying an arm and leg for it. Regardless though the food here is delicious! it's very unique so you can stick with tradition here and get just a plain old grilled cheese or a Burger which is perfectly fine or... You can get adventurous and try something new and innovative! Check it! I'm just gonna keep it real with you this place has the most original style menu I've ever seen and I keep coming back because act because every time I find something new that I've either never heard of before or I haven't ever seen it done in their way of doing it and that isn't just for the food they have cocktails here that are great too. The atmosphere and the decorations around the building it's all just awesome! So different from what everyone else is doing that not stopping by here at least once is this is a real shame and in all honesty just a missed opportunity. Pay this place a visit. It's worth it!

This was our first time visiting this restaurant. The atmosphere and decor was very creative and abstract. The walls are decorated with paintings and those hard light up lawn decorations that you out out at Christmas, Easter, and Halloween. We we here on a Sunday and arrived around 3:40pm. It was not crazy busy but the place was definitely hopping. We were seated within 10 minutes of arriving. We got our drink order and appetizer ordered about 5 minutes after being seated. Once we ordered it was roughly 30 minutes later and the waitress came over to us and stated that she didn't know what happened but it seems our order didn't get placed... so we reordered our food. It then took another 25 minutes to arrive at our table. The food was absolutely amazing and we enjoyed every bite. When the waitress brought the check, I expected there to be some sort of automatic discount due to the staff members error. There was not. When she came back to collect my payment I simple asked her, "due to the long wait and mix up with getting the order placed, is there anything that we can do"? To which she responded, "yes absolutely, let me check on that". When she returned she stated they had removed one of our meals as an apology for the mistake. That was very much appreciated and we thanked her for it. Overall the experience was great, I will definitely return as there were so many great things on the menu that I would love to try!

Had dinner there tonight and our server Lina was so friendly. I love that they have half portions because the regular portions are so large. Besides a parent with screaming kids, it was a great visit. Can't wait to try their brunch on the weekend.

I haven’t been here in a few years… I remember they had some wild combinations for burgers… they don’t not have those all listed but I remember a peanut butter burger they had and they were still able to make it..! Thankful to my server that was able to help me out with what I came in for…

I've been several times in the past. Food was always fresh, hot, flavorful and portions were well worth the money being spent. Today my cousin and I had a lunch date here and was totally thrown off by the significant increase in prices along with the underwhelming taste of our sandwich and cold fries. The Cleveland cheesesteak has been our favorite but spending $20.00 for a full sandwich and cold flavorless fries along with the sandwich barely having any meat on it is disappointing. We had more bread than anything. The best thing we had was the mozzarella sticks. Our Server was THE BEST though. We probably won't be coming back.

I had great service when we went. Quickly sat and ordered food. Our tables good came out quickly but the Mac and cheese was pretty dry and my sandwich tasted really good but didn't have as much meat on it as it has in the past. The French fries were cut extra small it seemed but were good

I want to start out with saying Vicky is AMAZING - she’s always super friendly, attentive and recognizes the regulars. She seriously goes above and beyond as a server. I don’t know her name, but another server who’s always wearing a tie-dye face mask is equally as amazing and accommodating every time I come in. They are both knowledgeable about the menu and attentive to dietary restrictions. I come to Melt somewhat often, less now than I used to. The nice thing about Melt is that I can come here as a vegan to eat with non-vegan friends and family. I always order menu items that are by default vegan or specifically say “vegan version available” on the menu. Half of the time, my food comes out great. The other half, I have to send it back because the salad that I specifically said when ordering that I was vegan has cheese or meat on it. Sometimes when I order the vegan option of the crispy chicken salad, it has vegan tofu bacon and other times it doesn’t. I wish all of the servers were attentive to specifications like vegan/vegetarian, and I wish that when I ordered something I knew what would come out of the kitchen. The food is really good when it’s correct, but it seriously ruins my experience when I have to watch my table mates eat their food while mine is remade, only for the “new” plate of food to still not be quite what I ordered. Especially when I’m paying $20+ for just the entree.

Been here several times! Always a good experience. Expect a wait if you visit at peak times (the food is worth it, though)!

Not a go to, but a place you visit when you're in the mood for this type of food. You're likely to find a favorite on the menu. The portions are a good size. Our food was colder than expected when it came out. The service was great. The atmosphere is loud and you have to speak at a higher volume. We'll visit again.

We had a large party of about 12 for a birthday party reservation. Our server was very laid back and helpful with the menu and as you can see our food looks fantastic The only negatives about this experience was several people received incorrect orders when the food came out such as grilled chicken vs the fried chicken that was ordered and some people receiving totally wrong orders. They were also all out of tomato soup at 6:30 pm at a key peak dinner time. Nonetheless the food was great and most of us left very full and with to go boxes.

This Melt location has the same amazing food. Beat grilled cheese you will ever eat. With a side on really ambitious people should order a full sandwich. The problem is that compared to the old downtown location which I loved this place feels sterile. There is no vibe. It feels like a cafeteria inside. Except for some cool old school holiday light ups behind the bar, there is no atmosphere here. The food makes up for it, but barely.

Overall a pretty decent place to eat. But I feel the name betrays the product. For a cheese lover like me, I would expect cheese to be gushing from my sandwich. I asked for onion rings as my side and was only given three. My wife, on the other hand, had french fries on the side, and the plate was full.

If you have a person in your family with a dairy allergy, this is the place for you. My 3 year old was able to safely eat the grilled cheese with vegan cheese. He really like it! The waitress, Nikki, was really helpful and did not make me feel like a burden for asking so many questions. The menu and website state that they are vegan friendly. We were traveling and I’m so grateful we stumbled upon this place. Thank you!

OMG the food was ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! I tried the all of my friends are mozzarella heads burger and my son had I believe the BBQ chicken no words...no words...and the service was awesome Carter was very Kool and she was patient with us as it was our first time and let us know everything we asked and was very polite. Overall 5 starts I'd go back every day if I could

I've always liked Melt, but this was my best visit so far. Clean restaurant, with open and comfortable seating. We sat at the bar, and the lady who waited on us was great! I had the Turkey Reuben and fries. The fries are freshcut, which is always a plus. The sandwich was KILLER!! Great bread with the perfect amount of sauce and kraut. I would eat it every day.

Pics on menu do not do it justice. This is The Dude Abides! So good and looks better in person.

The food was fantastic and the service was excellent. You know the server is doing a great job when you don't even need to ask for a refill. They just see you running low and bring another. We will definitely eat there again, it was just very loud with no divisions in the dining room to help control noise.

Wow! We came to this place from the Dallas/Ft. Worth area JUST for the Monte Cristo and we weren’t disappointed! If you’re hungry and you want it fried, it’s probably here. Highly recommend the fried Mac and cheese. Awesome local beer selection as well.

Patrycia was an amazing server: prompt, polite, even-tempered, the perfect amount of conversational, and made our dining experience great. Food is tasty - albeit somewhat overpriced - but my wife and I both remarked that we wished Patrycia was the kind of server we had everywhere we go. The half combo is the best value with generous side portions; the Cleveland cheese steak was flavorful, but on the sweet side; and the hangover fries were a very good interpretation of poutine.

The food was amazing. I got the vegan buffalo chicken melt with mozzarella cheese and fries. The vegan ranch was so good and protein was nice and moist. It was a a bit messy to eat but with a fork 10/10. It was a lot of food for only $12!

This place is amazing, vibes are chill, food is great and it also is not that expensive either. Try something new and you will be impressed for sure. In my crew we all were blasted away by the place and are eager to try it again soon.

Fun place even if you're local. Above average draft list with lots of Ohio breweries. Go with the half sandwich option. No idea how a human finishes any of these. Usually a wait so be prepared. Not for kids/babies. Monte Cristo is classic. Servers are efficient and nice.

I ordered a takeout order well in advance, showed up and gave them my name and was told they would be right out. 15 minutes later the bartender noticed I was sitting for a while, looked up my order and told me they didn’t get it. They sorted that out, but had to wait another 20 minutes. Everything was labeled correctly, but upon getting home (20+ minute drive), I opened my box to see a plain grilled cheese, not the Cleveland Cheesesteak I had ordered. Very disappointing to wait basically an hour all to have the wrong food. I used to love this place, but service has gone way downhill in the last couple years. I would give zero stars if possible and won’t be returning any time soon.
