This is a lovely restaurant, popular with people of an older age, but don't let that put you off. Even though they have a chair lift for the older and disabled people to get to the toilets upstairs, this is simply an aid for them and doesn't affect the quality of food that they can deliver to you. The food is outstanding and at a reasonable price too. The restaurant is quiet and the staff are friendly and helpful. They have a good choice of wines and a good variety of food to choose from. Well worth a visit.

My father-in law has been eating here for years and I had my first chance this week. Lamb was excellent..soft easy to chew...my dessert was so delicious. All in all keal was fantastic. Not pricey either. Staff were very courteous and friendly. Highly recommend this restaurant in you're ever in Sidcup.

I booked a week before for 11 of us to celebrate my parents golden Wedding Anniversary. They were so good they provided yellow roses and napkins and a special personalised front for the menu. We had their from their set menu and didn't have to preorder which for such a big party we may have had to all the food came out together we were not rushed the staff were attentive and everyone enjoyed their food drink and had a lovely time especially my parents which is what it was all about !

My partner and I were invited to a private function at Sophie's Choice on 2 July 2023. The luncheon was served in the private suite above the main restaurant. The waitresses were excellent and looked after the guests impeccably. The choices available for each course were magnificent and greatly added to the experience. In fact, I have never seen so many superb options offered at such an event. The quality of the lunch was magnificent and the atmosphere in the restaurant made our visit even more special. A huge thank you to Sophie's Choice for an exceptional afternoon. We will definitely visit the restaurant again soon.

We came for a meal on a Tuesday evening about 2 weeks, just before the Queen's jubilee. It was lovely. My husband said that the fish platter was amazing. I had lamb noissettes, in mint sauce. They were probably the best lamb that I have eaten. The vegetables were good too. I had syllabub, it was lovely. The house wine was a nice wine. They were full, but this in no way detracted from the good service and lovely cooking. I recommend and I will go there again.

Great little restaurant with friendly staff and consistently really good food...great value for money and also very reasonably priced drinks. I've been dining here for years and have never ever been let down

Awful compassion!! Booked for Mother’s Day. Unfortunately the day before my nephew was rushed to hospital and on the day myself son and husband caught covid. We paid £20 deposit each for £27 meal - very high! we asked if meal could be taken the following week but was told we would all lose our deposits. I negotiated a take away for five. The other two were able still to go. This was hard fought. The two that went bought it home. One poor dinner each. No pudding or starter but still took all our money. We will not be using them again! Absolute sharks and rip off!!!! We had cancelled a place very early in the week and were told that we would get a refund for that deposit. Not seen at all!!! Please do not pay these people a deposit - too risky!

Fantastic meal at Sophies choice,hadn't been for years. Food was freshly cooked not overpriced and the glasses of wine weren't stingy either! Perfect catch up with the girls! Will be back!!

Hired out the top floor for Bowls presentation evening. I've been going for several years.Great food and service. Great local restaurant.

Lovely upstairs venue for occasions which we hired for a family 80th birthday. An excellent menu and the food was delicious! All of the staff were friendly, helpful and attentive. Will definitely go back again!

First time here and was very pleased there were 8 in our party although there were 2 staff and there was a larger group than ours service was speedy and attentive food was nice and tasty menus is not over extensive but something to suit most tastes and price was very reasonable

We had our Ruby Anniversary celebration at Sophie's Choice in May 2023. Beforehand, they were really accommodating and efficient, and despite a party of 22, I was advised that there was no need for anyone to preorder. On the day I was contacted by Chris, who wanted to make some personal touches to the menu. These were lovely. We had the upstairs room to ourselves, which was beautifully laid out. As with all our experiences at Sophie's Choice, the food choice was varied, and beautifully cooked. A special thank you to Magda and Theodora who were serving us all evening. This is a brilliant restaurant with delicious food.

This restaurant has been open for over 40 years. Haven't been here since the 90's as we no longer live in the area. Enjoyed our meals and the portions were reasonable for the price. Fairly quiet for a Friday and the clientele were mostly 50+

Had a wonderful lunch at Sophie’s Choice celebrating my 70th Birthday. The food was delicious and plenty of it as usual with a wide choice. All my guests were very impressed. The staff and service were excellent. Would thoroughly recommend this gem of a restaurant

Just as good as it used to be! I wanted to take some friends out to dinner and remembered Sophie's from the past. We were not disappointed. Sensibly sized menu with a good choice. Great food and friendly efficient service. Everything spotlessly clean with pleasant decor. Tables well spaced. Good value. Highly recommend.

Wonderful local restaurant! My Wife and extended family dined on Christmas day. The food and service were wonderful. We went Traditional with a Mushroom Starter followed by the Christmas Turkey Lunch. Sherry Trifle was my choice of Dessert, My wife had the profiterole's. All were served perfectly by the waitresses without interrupting the conversation. All in all an excellent Christmas Lunch

Excellent. I had Chicken and friend had lamb which they described as 'absolutely wonderful'. Generous portions, wonderful service and very reasonable.

This has become a regular venue. The welcome is always warm, the ambience delightful, the food is predictably well presented and tasty and the service is attentive. Keep up the good work!

I was thinking about the last time I talked my mother just to say something nice, just because. We're used to asking for advice, calling for support or wishing her a happy birthday. But our mums deserve more than that. So today me and Pauline surprise her, by taking her to lunch, on a Beautiful sunny crisp day. I try make sure she knows just how much I love and appreciate her for being the glue that holds it all together. We had a wonderful lunch at Sophie’s choice. The service is so friendly and they can't do enough for us. The food is delicious and very reasonably priced. There is a vast menu with large portions. The tables are generally round and all have white table clothes. I cant say enough about how good it is. But thank you 🙏 to my mum, Pauline and Sophie’s choice for making my day special. ❤️

We have always had great food and service. First visit since COVID. Still the same excellence service.

Food good, but we booked a surprise do, for my two relatives in February, come the day of the get together in May, we where not in the private function room that we asked in February which ruined the whole thing. We will not be returning with our custom, we have more reliable venue that we have used before than you.

First visit and definitely would go back. Food was very good and presented well. Portions were a good size too. Staff friendly
