After booking it nearly 12 months ago, I had almost forgotten what it looked like, doing a quick recap on Google the hotel looked fine but the outside made me think I may have made a mistake as it could be noisy, however, when I got there, I was happily mistaken massively as the hotel was very well presented, staffed by a great team, fantastically located for nearby services and Greenwich amenities, as well as being very quiet and a hotel I would very much recommend and come back to next time I'm in Greenwich area. The rooms were nice, clean, and nothing broken or awry, the restaurant looked great but we never got a chance to try it as we were so busy. All round very happy, good rate, great location, fantastic overall. Well done!

This hotel was an excellent discovery and a great value for money. We were struggling to find something nice and not too pricey in/near London and this place didn't disappoint. It's a small hotel on top of a historic pub (and a world heritage site) and yet it's extremely quiet, clean with spacious rennovated rooms and bathrooms and you truly cannot smell the pub kitchen. We visited for 4 nights during a heatwave and the room AC was a very welcome addition. Location-wise it's very central; a very short walking distance from the Cutty Sark DLR station (less than 5 minutes) and with many pubs, coffee shops and restaurants in the area. Check-in and check-out were smooth, the reception staff were very friendly and we were even able to leave our baggages at the reception as we had a late flight.

The rooms were lovely and clean and decorated really tastefully. Very comfortable beds and a great shower. Could have had a better welcome from the staff memeber who said it wasn’t his job to check people in.

I think most of the negative reviews were made before the hotel renovation. I went there in May 2022 and found my room lovely and spacious. The staff was welcoming and cleaned the room thoroughly every day.

We loved the pub when we came for a drink earlier in the day, so we were delighted to find we could stay the night - an impromptu decision. Everything was superb. The decor, the staff - especially Laura. The room was huge, clean and very tastefully done. Our dinner was lush too. We can’t wait to stay again!

This is an amazing small boutique hotel steps from the University of Greenwich, the Greenwich market, the Cutty Sark, the maritime museum, and more. 2 blocks from the Cutty Sark DLR station, and across the street from several bus lines, so transport is effortless! Service is amazing in the hotel and pub, and the rooms are large, well-appointed and comfortable. The pub serves great food, including breakfast for hotel guests. If you're dreading the hot weather, no worries! - the rooms are air-conditioned and very comfortable (pub and common areas are not, but each room is). This is now my favorite hotel in Greenwich, and will absolutely be my home away from home when I'm visiting. Highly recommend!

Really welcoming staff, very helpful and chatty. Lovely rooms, traditional can clean. We loved the view of the graveyard from the window (no really, we actually did!), felt atmospheric. Enjoyed our breakfast very much, and had several brinks in the bar. Staff and locals all very friendly. We also notice that you are dog welcoming. We will defintely come back again.

The room and the service was really great. The room was clean, it was a bit dark even with the lamp on. We stayed in the middle of May there, but the weather was not the best and the room was cold. I tried to heat the room with the air conditioner but sadly it didn't work. Even in the pub area it was very cold, we were sitting mostly with our coat on and we saw that the other guests did like this, too. Anyway it was a nice place to stay, the staff was nice.

Nice clean room. Well appointed. Very comfortable bed and warm duvet. Good lighting which was a must as the room was a little dark. We did sneak a look in some others and they were much brighter. Nice tea tray with all you need for the first cuppa of the day. Staff were all really welcoming and not in you gave all the time was a bit like staying with friends. The only down side was hanging space ok for a couple of nights though. We have rebooked for 5 nights in November with the hope of a brighter room. Thanks for a great stay.

This was a stone's throw from the Cutty Sark DLR station which made it easy for getting to and from central London. The rooms at the Mitre are a hidden gem! Large, clean, modern and comfortable. We stayed for 2 nights whilst visiting the Chelsea Flower show. The breakfast was good and not expensive, and the staff were so friendly and helpful. Didn't use the bar/pub but that seemed nice too, with a small courtyard. Greenwich is busy and popular with plenty to see and do. We will be back!

Overall we had a pleasant stay at the Innkeeper's The Mitre. Room and bathroom neat and clean and excellent beds. Cozy pub serving excellent breakfast, lunch and dinner. Staff very friendly en full of enthusiasm, KEEP IT UP!! The location of the hotel is perfect in relation to the the public transport (DLR and buses). On our next visit to London we will definitely stay with you again in the cozy Greenwich.

We stayed here for 7 nights and are already scheming to come back again! Loved the rooms, the location, and the pub downstairs (trivia night was our fave) - plus the people who work here are so nice.

Efficient check-in, clean and comfortable room, friendly staff. There was an issue with the water supply overnight but this was rectified by the morning. Would recommend

Clean and tidy Hotel with nice service and location. Greenwich downtown around the corner and the Thames in walking distance close to the foot tunnel. Lots of nice Restaurants and shops close by. Nothing to complain, quite and a cosey bar right there worth visiting. The staff as more than friendly, thanks for everything.

The team are so welcoming and do their utmost to ensure everyone has a memorable and comfortable stay. Wonderful to stay at a venue with ‘atmosphere’ and local cheer. Breakfast delicious - next time will book for dinner as this venue is obviously a favourite with the local community.

Very clean and compact accommodation. Easy to find the hotel, very conveniently located. Late access was very easy. Breakfast was freshly made and nicely served.

Staff was all friendly and lovely. Very welcoming on arrival. Room was clean and tidy and bedding and towels of good quality. Unfortunately food in pub let the overall experience down as we had Sunday roast on arrival which wasn’t great (hard vegetables and nut roast not good). Breakfast - hash browns frozen in the middle, bacon not good and scrambled egg, seemed to be just chopped up egg.

From the moment we arrived until the moment we checked out, the staff was amazing. We had wonderful conversations with all that we had contact with. We enjoyed the food and drink very much. For our very first visit to your Country and City, your staff made us feel very welcome and we excited for the prospect of planning another trip in the next 2 years or so.

Friendly staff, good food, clean rooms, great value for money and a fantastic location. I was so impressed I will definitely try here first next time I want to stay in the area, which is also really nice by the way. I only have one very minor negative thing to say, and that is that I found the shower a bit awkward to get in and out of as the door doesn't leave much space. Other than that, the Mitre is fabulous!

Room was fine and staff were friendly, but very noisy from 4.30am due to the room being on the main road. Quite pricey for a single room but it is very central location in Greenwich.

Cozy hotel for a perfect stay in Greenwich. The rooms are spacious and the breakfast is great. I would absolutely recommend The Mitre for a stay in historic Greenwich :)

The staff at the pub (which ha is the same hotel staff) were not very friendly. We had a very unpleasant experience on the last day, due to a misunderstanding with the breakfast booking: I booked for 6 people and they said that the hotel only reported 3 breakfast; we showed them the emails and yet, they didn’t even care to contact the hotel manager. They also lacked manners when handling the whole situation and it was very uncomfortable since we had our parents with us and we were on a trip for our civil marriage and Christmas. All in all, we just decided to leave and had breakfast somewhere else. Also, the breakfast we had days before wasn’t that good… not value for money! Last time I choose this hotel. Not recommended! Customer service is important and the don’t know how to treat people well.

V clean and tidy room, comfy bed and pillows. We enjoyed the room's coffee in the morning but would have preferred to have had the option of tea as well.

I was there for the 3th time in this Year, because my daughter was studying at greenwich university. I loved it before the refurbishment ..and it is beautiful now too. I would like to be a able to open the windows further. And it would be nice to have a little refrigerator. It is a extremly warm and elegant and atmosphere there. Staying in a wonderfull traditional Pub was really great. The room 103 is a very very beautiful room with its two huge windows!!!

Great location and the pub/hotel has been very tastefully refurbished. The rooms are fantastic and we had a meal there, which was lovely in the garden area.

Excellent value. Fabulous large room with comfy beds. Facilities great and friendly helpful staff. Would have liked a little earlier check in, but had drink in the bar while waiting.

The room was nice, tidy and clean. The hot water in shower was not warm enough. The waiting for breakfast was more than half an hour even we were alone in the restaurant. The tea got cold until we got the meal finally and it didn't look like was just finished. But it was nice. The staff was nice and helpful.

I stayed there for 5 nights. Price wise, it ranks with other 4 stars hotels internationally. Only, it has no breakfast included. They, definitely, are on a sparing course. The TV has no entertainment channels and even the 2 biscuits offered with the complimentary soluble coffee were not refilled once I ate them. The shower water had fluctuations in temperature. For the rest, the room was big and clean with AC. Bathroom, rather big for London, clean with fresh towels every day. That was a bit over the top, I'm used to replacing on demand. I missed the disposable tooth brush and tooth paste, though. Well connected to London by bus, Under- and Overground and ship. It is a good 4 star hotel but not top of the list.
