I came here for the macaroons!! Just found this place on Google while I was at Katzingers (cool deli restaurant nearby) and wanted dessert... This store, located in German Village, is super cute and have outdoor seatings. Staff was friendly and the macaroons were super yummy, especially the honey lavender one! It was $2.50/piece. They sell coffee drinks as well and have different kinds of pastries. The Book Loft is not far away if you're exploring the village.

The boys got around 5 macarons each and enjoyed the standard ones. The more flavorful and creative macarons were a bit out of their league but still good... my pistachio latte was awesome and while a little pricey very well made and extremely tasty. It was also really cool walking up to this joint which is an old German style part of town. Parking seems easier in the later morning but proved a little tricky between 8a and 10a with the restrictions and driving on brick pavers was cool as well

Everything looks so perfect I felt like they had a right to be snooty but they were friendly and helpful. The pastries looked amazing and the pistachio chocolate chip cookie was quite good. I would definitely go back.

They are still take out only but WOW their macarons are amazing and bigger than I expected. We went in the afternoon and wanted to try the crème brûlée eclair and they were out. So go early if you want more options.

Elevated atmosphere, pastries look absolutely splendid. Sampled the Sugar Plum punch and found it to be a tad bit concentrated to taste and disappointed it only comes iced, would be spectacular hot in these cold months. Unsure if there is a dining area?

We stopped in on Friday around 2pm and grabbed a handful of desserts to-go. We got lemon tarts, double chocolate cookies, a croissant, and a piece of carrot cake. All of the items were good! [Please note, the food pictures were taken when we brought the items home] -Nice flavor on the lemon tart (but I could always have it more lemony) -Cookies had a really good slightly bitter chocolate flavor -The croissant had good structure and was buttery on the outside -If you like cream cheese icing, you'll like the carrot cake. Really delicious, but be forewarned that there does seem to be coconut in it The staff were fine - not rude, but maybe a little low energy since it was getting close to the end of the work day. Overall, our experience was good and I'll definitely go back to Pistacia Vera.

Very cute bakery and coffeehouse. The raspberry pistachio eclair is delicious. Also, the macarons and the almond croissants are amazing. Latte is perfectly balanced. I really liked the boxes and the representation. Staff is very friendly and helpful. There was no place to sit inside, only outside seating. If you are in the area then it’s a great place to visit.

It was hard to choose, everything looks so beautiful. The staff is friendly, helpful and so patient with all my questions. We got a few macarons, also lemon tart and chocolate bombe, all so delicious. The quality of these pastries are amazing!! We wanted to get the chocolate croissant but it was already sold out at 1pm. Dine in is not open yet so we got them to go. Schiller Park is only a few minutes walk from the pastry shop, a perfect picnic place with beautiful view, lots of shade, many tables/chairs.

CHOCOLATE BOMB CAKE is AMAZING! Chocolate ganache plus chocolate mousse plus chocolate cake PLUS chocolate crunch!! O man, it’s a taste of heaven. Their iced strawberry cream latte is very good. Matcha strawberry is so yum but it’s a little pricey at 7$ Mini chocolate bomb is the perfect size to satisfy the chocolate cravings. Strawberry and creme daquoise has walnuts inside, nice nutty touch. Lavender macaroon, good flavors and texture but on the sweeter side.

A gem!!!! AMAZING pastries - their croissants + eclairs are DELICIOUS plus so many others like a wide variety of macarons + other unique pastries! GET THE QUICHE! It’s so good. Their coffee + tea is great. You can’t go wrong with whatever you get. A must stop in German Village! Great atmosphere + friendly staff.

The drinks and food items are all great! Their seasonal lavender mint latte is super refreshing. I like their pistachio eclair and their croissants (especially the almond one!) Curbside pickup is fast and convenient. During the weekends, the lines can be pretty long.

Very nice bakery!! Croissant looks nice but we don’t have space in our stomach to eat this time. Just wish they have an indoor seating area.

I've been a huge fan of Pistacia Vera since... well since the first time I tried them at the North Market years ago. While I've only been to this location a few times, I was close by recently and couldn't help but stop for a coffee and some green treats (just in time for St. Patrick's Day). While it was my first visit since COVID, it was just as splendid as ever, even without the hustle and bustle of happy patrons sipping and munching on decadent treats. I'm so glad I made the trip, even days later I'm smiling over it. Health and safety measures were definitely in place, the staff was friendly and cheery, and my coffee was spot on (almond milk vanilla latte). I saved my macarons (pistachio and a seasonal one with baileys) and a pistachio and chocolate flourless torte for later. Their macarons are my favorite in Columbus so in my opinion you can't go wrong with any flavor you get. As for the flourless torte, I didn't know what to expect but was trying to stay away from gluten. I saved it for dessert and loved every bite. It was chewie like a brownie and the different layers really worked well together. I'll definitely be stopping by more often and can't wait for a special occasion to pop up. A friend recently recommended getting a large chocolate bombe for birthdays and I loved the idea. Bravo to Pistacia Vera for consistently spreading a smile across my face. Until next time!

I had such a wonderful experience here. I stopped by on a Monday morning as the last of of our road trip before we headed home to Virginia. This is such a cute bakery with tempting pastries and goodies on display. The staff here are soooo nice and accommodating. Their service is friendly and prompt. I ordered a dozen macarons, kouign amann, and a raspberry tart. The tart was delicious and well balanced. The kouign amann was flaky, crisp, and lightly sweet. The macarons were all so good, but my favorite was the jasmine honey. I highly recommend stopping by here. If I'm ever in Columbus again, I'd come back to try some of their other goodies.

Got a hot masala chai latte to-go (I think all drinks are put in to-go cups at the moment) and it was delicious. Prices were lower than I expected (lower than fox in the snow), and quality of their coffee / tea / pastries are great.

The chocolate bomb is probably my favorite dessert in all of Columbus. We went for breakfast to pick a chocolate bomb for a birthday and had breakfast, which was great too. Ham and cheese croissant and peach danish. Had an ice brewed pistachio coffee as well, all were excellent.

The highlight of our Columbus trip. I was awed and amazed at the selection of pastries and baked goods. My stomach immediately wanted one of everything, so containing the excitement was hard. It didn’t stop me from making a second purchase while waiting for our coffee. We got a variety of macarons, the smoked salmon sandwich, orange brioche, madeleines and lemon tart. The perfect construction of the sandwich alone sold me. Such perfect bread with crisp veggies!! The lemon tart was luscious. The macarons disappeared so quickly, couldn’t get a picture. For drinks, we got a cortado, cold brew, and the white peach matcha. The matcha intrigued me, but oh. My. Goodness. Was it so gosh damn delicious. I wish I had found this place day one, but also thank goodness I didn’t, as my food budget would have been depleted so fast! Oh, everyone who works there has the nicest calmest voice and mannerism. I loved every minute talking to everyone.

This bakery lives up to its hype. There are fancy desserts, pastries, coffee and a small retail section. The most popular item are the macaroons. There are many flavors like pistachio, lemon, Carmel, etc. The fancy desserts are like things you would get in a 5 star restaurant - many with gold flakes (pictured is a chocolate bomb which was amazing). You can buy the small version for like $7 or the big version for more. The drinks from the cafe are also very fancy. I’m usually not a latte person but I am obsessed with the chocolate latte - its a special French chocolate you wouldn’t find at starbucks. Pistacia Vera is on 3rd ave in German village and a short walk from the famous Book Loft, other shops and restaurants. It’s walkable to Schmidt’s and Schiller park as well.

The pistachio latte was not arguably the best coffee I had ever had! My boyfriend even loved it, and he’s not a coffee guy. The pumpkin dessert paired beautifully with it. The only thing I would recommend is for more outdoor seating. We had to snag one while the other was grabbing our food so we could have a spot to sit.

I finally got to stop in and it did not disappoint! Please stop in and taste their macarons. They also offer delightful desserts that make you want to say "one of everything"!

Was my first time in, got a pumpkin matcha (insane) and the autumn yogurt bowl. Unbelievably good, and the staff is so sweet! 10/10, can’t wait to try more on the menu!!

AMAZING! We visited at opening on Sunday. Everyone was very friendly and warmly welcomed us. The hardest task is to decide what to pick from their delicious selection. The desserts are beautifully displayed. We selected a tomato galette, chocolate pistachio feuilletine, creme brulee eclair, raspberry passion fruit dacquoise, and croque monsieur. Each was so decadent and the rich in flavor, I can't pick a favorite because each was wonderful. We finished with honey butter lattes. Best coffee I have ever drunk! I love that milk alternatives are offered. This place is perfect, and we will definitely drive the 3 hours just for a coffee.

Coffee is ok… pastry is very good.,why is hard to find “two in one”? Where coffee would meet pastry in one nice place ? Cafe looks clean and new !

While visiting family in Columbus I decided to walk around and explore as many different recommended foods as possible. The first bakery up on that list was Pistacia Vera and it certainly did not disappoint! Having never even heard of a Creme brûlée eclair I had to try it and it was a great combination, basically being an eclair but instead of chocolate icing on top it had the caramelized top of a crème brûlée. I saw a couple different tarts and decided to try the ginger pear tart. For someone who isn’t normally a huge fan of pears, I must say it was probably my favorite of the four things I tried. I then got a vanilla bean cookie and a chocolate fudgie because I am a vanilla fan and my family is a chocolate fan. However, The vanilla bean cookie ended up being my least favorite of the bunch, not because it was bad, but everything else just had so much more flavor! The fudgie was just chocolatey goodness, there is no better way to describe it! Definitely will be going back next time I visit!

The pastries are not only delicious but lovely to look at. My raspberry torte was a work of art. My son got a creme brulee pastry that glittered with a translucent, golden top layer that looked magical! I didn't want to keep staring at his plate but as an artist was fascinated by it. :)

Weekly Sunday ritual! Get a pistachio latte, a savory croissant (French onion or the artichoke - YUM!) & grab some sweet treats to take home. You won’t regret visiting. It’s always so busy and retained good quality all these years I’ve been going. Also… BEST macarons in all Ohio!

Definitely wish there was indoor seating but the staff was kind and there was a big selection of baked goods. I got the lavender mint latte with oat milk, mushroom quiche, salmon sandwich, and macaroon for a total of $40. It was slightly pricey for what I got.

They forgot three things on my order but refunded me everything! Plus gifted me a free 12 case of delicious macaroons. However I still would have come back because their pastries are THAT good. It’s just great to know their customer service is amazing too. Will be back soon!

We randomly stopped there on our way home to Michigan, and we discovered absolutely stunning desserts! Little apricot tart with amazing ginger twist and chocolate pistachio feuilletine to die for! Definitely worth the struggle with parking!

  • 3/5 Meghan W. 1 year ago on Google
Drinks, food, and pastries tasted good. We got a raspberry white chocolate matcha, croque monsieur, smoked salmon dish, lemon tart, and the hazelnut torte. We were very disappointed that there was no seating. While the food was very tasty, eating it in our car really put a damper on our experience. They have the room for just a couple bistro-style tables with 2 chairs to accommodate customers wanting to "dine-in" or that don't live nearby to take their order to go. We didn't feel like a valued customer in that sense. Had we had a place to sit and eat, we would have enjoyed our food more thoroughly and would have bought more pastries to eat in the café and on the road.

I’m so happy Columbus is blessed with Pistacia Vera. Their baked goods and desserts are to die for and are so pleasing to the eye. Also I finish their coffee in one sip, it’s that good! Stopping by here and then the book loft makes for such a fun day

Thousands of stars!! This is an absolute gem place. I ordered some pastries and baked goodies for my husband on his birthday. Each of the pastries were terrific. The ingredients are good, the recipe is great. An absolute delight. They delivered right on time, with the birthday note ( as I requested). Everything was perfect. I will go back again, and I can’t recommend the place enough.

Overall decent place, they still ask you to stay outside for your order bit odd since we're over the COVID. I hope they will stop that because of the cold. Staff were nice.
