This Kothi (Mansion) is believed to built in 1800. This kothi is become historical when 11 year old Maharaja Duleep Singh spend 1 night here on 31 December 1849. For many years this building was in ruin condition. in 2015 this 13 acre property including main Kothi was renovated by Punjab Govt with the help of INTACH. As in 2020, this building again required maintaince. This museum is showcasing rich history of Maharahja Duleep Singh and some replica articles of Maharaja Ranjeet Singh. This is still unknown place for many, so there is no big rush. This place is now used by many photographers as pre wedding shoot venue. Its must visit place for all history lovers.

Beautiful Historical place. The last Sikh Maharaja Duleep Singh, son of Sher-e-Punjab Maharaja Ranjit Singh, spent his last night in punjab at this place. This museum includes all his dresses, jewelry, furniture and all portraits of his life, which are copied from original. The memorial, meant to showcase the life and tragic story of the last Sikh ruler of Punjab, is a heritage building set in 8 acres of land known as Bassian Kothi in Raikot, Ludhiana. The guides available here, there also tell whole story about Maharaja Duleep Singh's life. On 31st December 1849 , Maharaja Duleep Singh spent his last night in Punjab at this place.

It is situated near to Raikot,Punjab and I visit this place with family and friends. It is good maintained. You need to buy tickets in ₹10/- to each adult and no need to purchase tickets to below 6 years children. It is good place and having variety of flowers and plants. I recommended to visit this place. You can also try for pre-wedding shoot with prior permission of competent authority.

Great memorial. Every Punjabi should visit this place. We have neglected this place and our history. Must visit. Good dealing by staff. At present there is a ticket for everyone which will cost you 10/- Rs per person. YouTubers can also cover this place by depositing 1000/- Rs at reception but first you need to get written permission from SDM of Raikot. I request all the Punjabi's to visit this place .

Went on Sunday timings 10am -1pm then 2pm-5pm ticket cost is 5 rupees per person closed on Monday. It's a historical journey which took me back to the Golden Era of punjab the period of maharaja ranjeet Singh our sher e punjab. This beautiful memorial is place where maharaja duleep Singh son of maharaja ranjeet Singh was kept for a night before sending him to London. The museum houses the replica of throne of sher e punjab maharaja ranjeet Singh, kohinoor heera, sword of maharaja duleep Singh and nanakshahi coins 🪙. The whole history is depicted in the museum and one can ask the help of guide who beautifully explains the whole history.we had a great time. The area is very peaceful calm soothing.everyone should visit this memorial atleast once to know about our history. One can easily spend 1 hour here away from the hustle and bustle of our cities. A day very well spent......

Very underrated place. The place carries great historical value. Need for schools, colleges and parents to bring along their students and kids to make them aware about the rich culture and history of Panjab and Sikhism. Special mention to the guide in the museum.

It used to be a ruined place, but the government has renovated it with a lot of resources and care. Must visit for both locals and NRIs, especially the younger ones to know the history of Maharaja Dalip Singh.

Good Place to visit. A great historic place where last sikh Maharaja of India memories have been preserved. Also depicts the conversion of Sikh Maharaja to Christian community and thus ended the generation.

The museum is great and very informative. However, the caretakers are very rude. They literally evicted us during their lunch time and locked down the museum and asked us to wait outside till the time they had their lunch. I have not seen such system anywhere til now.
