A lovely place to spend an evening Entry information: There are tickets for the same. There are two shows, Whistling walls and Sher-e-Punjab Sher-e-Punjab : the tickets are available before 4pm only is for ₹199. This includes Sher-e-Punjab (7D show), access to interior of the fort. Whistling walls : The tickets are available all day and is for ₹199. This includes Whistling walls, a laser show, and access to the fort Majaraja ticket : Includes all the access proved at ₹358. What to see: The fort is well maintained and quite clean. The fort has multiple food restaurants, few shops and a great architecture. Timings and other: Whistling walls starts only after 8:15pm so plan accordingly. The ticket counter is across the street and post that you can get entry tickets. You can get entry tickets as well for approx ₹45. But they don’t give until you don’t get a package. You can get a trip of the interior on electric vehicles for ₹50 as well

A decent visit in Amritsar. The fort is maintained well enough in spots. It is a mix of activities, restaurants and shops inside. You will need approximately 1-2 hours to explore at your own pace.

It was a great experience. Traveling to Amritsar and was fascinated to watch and experience the culture and historical evidence about Punjab and Maharaj Ranjit Singh. Nice place one can go and have a tour at this fort. Good to go.

Great historic place, firstly I was thinking that the ticket is costly but after the experience, it is really worth it . The activities like horse riding/camel riding, games, 7d show and bicycle are included. You also experience live Bhangra here with it weapon showcase is also there.

Pretty neat place to take the family for an outing.. Do remember to take the buffet voucher! Food was amazing! The 7D show is a bit of a hit and miss, good for a one time visit.. The photo booth is pretty nice as well! The cultural shows are good, happen regularly after some intervals.. Overall it's a must visit place when exploring Amritsar..

Needs more activities and engagement for tourists. I went there with a ticket of 850 which included everything inside the fort. The light and sound show and 7D laser show are really good however you don't feel the energy there except these two. Buffet was included in my ticket and I would say better avoid it and you can save 150 rupees there only. Very average food and no options. I like the whole concept, to provide one-stop for tourists into Punjab's hostoysnd culture however I do feel it requires brushing up!

Gobindgarh Fort is a hidden gem that exceeded our expectations. The ample parking space made our visit hassle-free, and once inside, the experience only got better. The fort seamlessly blends history and modern amenities with a food court offering a diverse range of culinary delights. The heritage shops are a treasure trove of authentic souvenirs, adding to the cultural immersion. What truly sets Gobindgarh Fort apart is its commitment to providing more than just a historical tour. Adventure enthusiasts will be thrilled with the array of activities available, from cycling to camel rides, adding an extra layer of excitement to the visit. It's a well-rounded destination that caters to diverse interests, making it a must-visit for both history enthusiasts and those seeking a day filled with adventure and exploration.

This fort is nicely maintained. Ticket cost is bit higher side as if you are going to watch 7D show here then it will cost Rs. 200 per person. Show is a splendid experience. I liked it very much. Also, watchout for the well maintained fort here.

We enjoyed our visit to fort. 450/- is the lowest entry ticket which includes fort entry, live performance of Bhangra and Gidda, laser show and some fun activities like couple bicycle, hoverboard ride, horse/camel ride, archery, basketball, dart etc.. If you pay 600/- then you get access to 7D show which is fun🤩 add another 150/- and you’ll get your unlimited maharaja thali meal included in the same. We took 750/- ticket per head and enjoyed the fort experience thoroughly. We entered around 6:30 and were done by 9-9:30/-pm. You might need assistance to ask what to do when, you can check the same with volunteers. 8pm is 7D show and 7:30 is laser show.

A tourist place with traditional Bhangra dance, magic show and other activities. Turban Museum exhibits rich variety of Punjabi turbans. One should have sufficient time (2-3 hours) to see most of the things. The common entry fee is ₹ 50/- and needs to pay additional for weapon museum and 7D show.

It was a good experience. The 4d show was only much later so we did not stay for it. The children enjoyed a camel ride and the turban museum was good. The laser show was also good.

Beautiful place. Has a rich heritage and history but more development is needed. The experience feels incomplete. Maybe the reason is that this was still under the Indian Army till 2018 and just recently had been developed as a tourist destination and then the COVID pandemic hit in 2020. Most of the places like the Taksal etc were closed and the places which were open did not have people in them. There was a cultural show in the evening but the stage was far from the place the audience was made to sit and there was not enough lighting so the people could not have a proper look at the shows. The laser light show was decent and worth seeing. But this place is historically very important and it deserves much more development.

A nice place to spend the evening, but be prepared to walk a lot since this place is very huge. You'll get a feel of how the life eas back then and how the king's have lived and ruled. There lot of eateries within the fort so no need to worry about food. It's a heritage place very well maintained l, we couldn't catch the light show but we witnessed the 7D show and it's a must experience. The show is charged 200 per head and tells about how the king became the king he is remembered for. At the end there is a cartoon 7D show which you can choose to skip but the kids will enjoy this. Overall a nice place to visit in Amritsar. Give it a try.

An Okay visit. Not very exciting, The staff at activities, especially at couple cycle and Segway need training on dealing with customers.. The place was dull probably because of cold winters.. It has a lot of potential on becoming one of the best visited places in Amritsar..

I don't like it at all. I don't get why people have rated this so high. Overpriced place. More beautiful forts and places can be visited for free. This is taking 50 rupees just to enter the place. That also with arguments with the ticket counter girl. They were saying that only 300 rupees ticket is there and you've to buy the show and games ticket. Not worth at all. Very average activities and games and shows are there. I won't recommend anyone to waste their money.

My friend suggested me He said "Must visit great place" Really this is more than great Impeccable lighting with fully equipped sound system. Offers great quality services. Parking is completely safe from all kind of theft especially from crooks and mugglers. Vintage cars 🚗 drives you in particular places like toshinama and so on. Camel 🐫 ride is also amazing and alluring. Best place to take photographs. Panoramic view from top the fort is breath taking gives you a very satisfying feel 👌. Ticket 🎟 system is little bit confusing at first 🤔 we dont know what to choose. But rest of things is great. Overall experience was replete with 😉 enjoyment and fun. Fully luxurious

A beautiful place. You have to buy a ticket to enter the Fort. The ticket counter is near the parking area. You have a vehicle which can take you on a ride and cover all the places at an extra charge and a ticket has to be taken for that also. The place is maintained very well. Visit the place in the noon as its very hot in the day time.

The fort is a majestic beauty and represents the important history of the place. There is ongoing work to make it into a unique live museum and it does require a lot of work for keeping tourists and locals busy. There are shows, rides and eateries for family and day outings. The circumference around the fort is easily 1km and it’s nothing much for those who aren’t history buffs and like self exploration. The museum was closed on Monday when I visited. The fort in itself is located centrally within and can be covered quickly.

I simply loved this place... There is a turban museum and a coin museum which I loved the most.. after visiting this place you can have a live experience of the era of our great kings and how their kingdom worked... Weapon museum is also nice and quite informative. . The laser show steals your attraction in the evening... Also the way they have decorated this place in the evening makes you love this fort even more...

The fort is fantastic no doubt as it's also depicts the Sikhs history. Very good museum inside with good 7D story depictions. Love it. It's worth your time and money. Go for it... Even in normal tickets of 45 per person you will feel paisa vassal but again if you are interested in history and it's symbols.

Out of all forts I have visited in India, felt this place to have a very good balance of commercial activities to earn revenue and Also keeping the cultural heritage intact. Fort is very very clean, extremely well illuminated and kept in fantastic shape. Appreciate the management over this. Hoping to return again by end of year as the day I went , we could not enjoy the laser show as some concert was going on .

This place is way too overhyped and very much overrated on Google maps. The ticket price is around 600 rupees per person excluding the laser light show. In this 600 rupees, you will get 4 coupons: 1) Entry ticket. 2) Heavy but very tasteless meal (only looks good by view). Not worthy unlimited buffet. 3) 4 Games and Ride ticket: Archery, Darts, Basketball and Ring throw (only 1 chance you get to play each game). Ride includes camel ride, magic show, segway, couple cycle, Punjabi folk music & traditional bhangra and jago dance. Camel ride is also worst. They just travel for 1 small round with egoistic attitude. Magic show, Bhangra and Jago dance and Punjabi music by ladies was very much good. 4) 7D show of maharaja Ranjit Singh was very much good. It is of 20 minutes, but the Pagri gallery and art museum was useless. 5) Laser light show was outstanding. It is a must watch. So, overall this place is ok, but way too expensive and the yet enjoyment and experience you are not recieving for the amount you paid.

If you like to visit historical sites , its one well maintained. Too much restrictions. Still worth to visit. It has few entrainment features. Note - this place is not for pregnant ladies, old people with joint pain and toddlers. All three are restricted no to attend 7D show wich is 3rd activity, rest two watching museum and shopping is just take couple of hours. As per space it should have more activities .

Less crowded, well maintained place that preserves heritage and is a pleasure to eyes. They charge you 40-30 Rs/- till 4 pm and 200/- after that which also includes the fee for a live performance within the complex. You can sit on the grass & admire the architecture or you can roam in the shops within and do some shopping, there's lots to do. On an overall, its a beautiful place, and the fees makes it attract only people who really want to learn about the heritage.

Not a good experience as there was no one to guide properly. Like as I visited for the first time so I thought you need to get tickets to only see the shows or activities but even to see the fort from inside you need to buy tickets which no one told before and I went inside and at checking point they said you need to go back and get the ticket even to see the fort. Well making everything so commercial but atleast someone should inform this outside itself or should display on some board about it. Disappointing. It was so hot outside so I decided if I have to go out again to get the ticket and come back I didn't even get inside the fort. Ensure to have a guard outside to provide necessary information.

This place is a cultural heritage. You can achieve both piece and thrill in here. You can go have a stroll along the rich history of this Fort or enjoy with a bit of Bhangra are why not a 7D show about the Great Maharaja Ranjit Singh. Get a light snack, dance and enjoy. Coming to the management: you can only find such a great service when the people take pride in doing their work. The parking is huge, you have all the necessary amenities. Don't worry and come and enjoy. 😊

👉 what will you like of this place? The 7D show is a best part of this tour. It is a wonderful experience if you want to know the story of Maharaja Ranjeet Singh and family. Must watch. The gun and other military object museum is nice. They have presented it well. The staff is wonderful and help you to stay coordinated. Avoid visiting it in sunny times as it can be very heated inside the walls. P.s: You can pay extra few bucks to take you via golf car if you wish to drive than walk.

Entry price is too much costly compared to the rest of the forts. Game zone stuff is total time waste as they will give only 2 chances for each game mentioned also some games and activities will not be in function. It was nice place to visit but the entry tickets are highly our rated.

Too much of history contained in a compact space. The fort itself isn't so large. It's more like a fun park. The historical significance of the fort is huge, currently under the command of the Indian army. Most of the fort is intact so you can feel how it was 200 years ago. Must visit if you are in Amritsar

Ahh heavens, we visited this place. Very awesome place to visit while on trip to Amritsar. Even if you are an Amritsari Local, you still should atleast visit once, specially the night light show (or projector show). Prices are different after 4pm, accommodating different shows around the clock. Generally the prices are from ₹200/- to ₹360/- for all the shows inside. Foreigners prices are different. You get couple of good eateries inside the location for quick munchies at reasonable price (Have a coffee at the Fruit Splash and say Hi to uncle from my side). There are some handcraft shopping places also. The spectre of the night is the Light Show, which you will be able to see only post evening.

What a day we had. After The Golden Temple the next best thing to visit in Amritsar. Never miss it. Its too good. A complete package. Gobindgarh Fort is a historic military fort located in the center of the city of Amritsar in Punjab. The Fort till recently occupied by indian army was opened to public from 10 February 2017. Today the fort is being developed as a museum and theme park, as a repository of Punjab’s history. Numerous attractions have been added to make Qila Gobindgarh a live museum along with exhibitions of Sikh martial history as well as the treasury of Maharaja Ranjit Singh. Sher e Punjab - A glorious history from the past depicted through the means of technology, to entice, enlighten, educate, enthrall and inspire. A 7D show based on the life of Maharaja Ranjit Singh that transports you back to the 19th century in an immersive way leaving you enchanted and is aptly called Sher e Punjab. Toshakhana . Coin museum - The Toshakhana, which once stored the coveted Kohinoor diamond, is now a coin museum for old and rare coins including a replica of the Kohinoor as it was worn by the Maharaja. The circular structure of the roof that was made by the use of the original nanakshahi brick is intact till date and quite awe inspiring. The Bungalow – Ancient Warfare museum - The grand building of the Anglo Sikh Bungalow has now been converted to an Ancient Warfare museum and today has several replicas of instruments and attires of warfare. It has many real, lifelike figurines that are so realistic they seem they would come alive if touched. Spirit of Punjab - A stage that keeps the fort alive all day long with live performances of bhangra, gatka, gidda, comedy, games, dholi etc. Several prizes are here to be won each day. Ambarsari Zaika - People here engage themselves in the various food shops and stalls that offer the choicest of Amritsari and Punjabi cuisine along with some other eatery options as well. Haat Bazaar - You can feast your eyes as you roam the well located Haat Bazaar that offers fares right from phulkaris, juttis, shawls, antiques etc. for you to purchase from. In partnership with Project Virasat, handmade brass and copper products made by the Thatheras of Jandiala Guru are also made available here. Whispering Walls - Kanda Boldiyan Ne or Whispering Walls is a show using state of the art projection mapping technologies and laser lights. A show of this quality has never before been seen pan India and we can certainly state that it will surely take your breath away. This show is held every evening post sunset. There is a Punjabi as well as an English show each day. The washrooms were clean & well maintained. The restaurant Ambarsari Zaika served authentic punjabi cuisine, but one had to wait a long for it to be served. The 7D show on Ranjit Singh should not be missed.. One thing I don't understand, when one can click pics from Mobile cameras inside, why aren't DSLR cameras allowed inside. Had to deposit it at the gates.

Visited Gobindgarh Fort recently and had an unforgettable experience! This historical fort truly is a hidden gem, offering a perfect blend of history, entertainment, and cultural immersion. The highlight of my visit was the captivating 7D movie that portrayed the childhood of Maharaja Ranjit Singh, bringing the fort's history to life in a thrilling and immersive way. The live dance performances at Gobindgarh Fort were a true delight. The graceful moves and the vibrant costumes of the talented dancers showcased the rich cultural heritage of Punjab. It certainly left me with a deeper appreciation for the region's artistic traditions. The fort also features an array of exciting rides that added an extra element of fun to the experience. From exhilarating virtual reality adventures to joyous carousel rides and games, there was something for everyone to enjoy. These thrilling attractions provided a delightful break from exploring the historical aspects of the fort and added a sense of excitement to the overall visit. In conclusion, Gobindgarh Fort is an absolute must-visit destination in Amritsar. It offers a unique and captivating experience that seamlessly combines history, entertainment, and cultural immersion. Whether you are a history enthusiast seeking to delve into the past or simply looking for a fun-filled day out, this fort has it all.

This place has everything, a 7D movie about the history of the place, no problem have a warfare museum with 30rs. charge for an adult and 20rs. for kids and teens. The museum contains antique guns, daggers, knives, swords, daggers and what not. They have silicon statues which make your experience even better.

Potential of great place being, mishandled. Fort is nice and clean. But the games offer are very limited and poor in quality. Ticket is costly. 570 for few rides and a show and average food. Segway ride and camel ride is 50 Mtr only. Shooting game has two shots for 70 Rs. 7d show is good. But poorly managed with somewhat unfriendly staff. In addition to it 2 museum are not coverd under ticket.

The fort is situated right in the center of city Amritsar beside army cantonement. Definitely an experience one must have while in punjab or Amritsar. It actually need a helping hand from Government authorities to revamp it to its full glory. Food here is really appealing to the taste buds. Dont forget to taste some delicacies.

The minimum entry charge is Rs 299 which includes 7D (it is actually 5D) movie on Maharaja Ranjit Singh which is decent and a one time watch. It also includes entry to Pagdi Museum which is very informative. The fort premises overall are well maintained and the old fortification is pleasing to eyes especially in sunset. There are decent washroom facilites, snacking and dining facilities available. There are also many gaming options for children as well as adults. There are continuous live performances as well as a laser show at around 7 pm in Punjabi and English. A must visit place when in Amritsar. Enter around 4-5 pm. You will need around 3 hours to cover all the activities. All other activities except movie and Pagdi museum are chargeable separately.

It is a nice place with good ambience and nicely organised campus arraying good display of history, culture and state of the craft shows accompanied with live presentations. Laser show Presentation during the visit marred with bad audio due to earthing because of heavy rains 🌧 preceding day, show was charged 300 rs per head, for 40 min more than a regular movie ticket. No staffer is presnt to guide or to look after during the show. Overall an okay experience.

Gobindgarh Fort, a massive historic structure in Amritsar, Punjab, was built by Maharaja Ranjit Singh in the 18th century. Transformed into a tourist attraction, it showcases Punjab's history and culture. The fort features museums, including the Sher-e-Punjab: Maharaja Ranjit Singh Museum, and hosts events like Bhangra performances and a Light and Sound show in English, Hindi, and Punjabi. The fort's architecture combines Mughal and Sikh styles, with intricate designs on walls and gateways. It offers vantage points from bastions and turrets, and the "Phansi Ghar" (hanging tower) adds historical significance.
