Bhagalpur Sadar Hospital provides almost every kind of treatment here, the registration counter is very crowded, there is a shortage of staff at the registration counter, cleanliness is taken care of, some of the staff here do not speak properly. As far as the government hospital, i have found it to be the best in the bhagalpur city. Good management and nice staff behaviour. Good space for parking also.

August 2023 Update: Registration charge ONLY Rs 2, which INCLUDES doctor appointment, blood tests, XRays, medicines, etc. Few doctors are very good, but there are some arrogant ones sitting there also, whi won't even bother to speak a single word or even ask a single question. Hospital management should seal the prescription with doctors names so we may know which doctor we have seen and that doctor feedback may be given. New Digital X-Ray machine facility available here for free. Eye department is very bad! No eye doctor in this hospital, which is a shame for a district hospital! They only do eye testing and prescribe eye drops to all patients and advice to test eye outside. The lab service is pathetic! You'll only receive result next day and they don't provide printed reports, but just write the values on the doctor prescription sheet. See how many spelling mistakes you can find in the test availability board printed outside the lab of the "district hospital"! It was shocking to know that Thyroid tests (T3, T4, TSH) are not available in this hospital! What a shame, given that hundreds of pregnant women visit this hospital daily! Endoscopy facility not available. They will refer you to Mayaganj hospital. The district authorities should ensure that these facilities are available in the coming days. Very pathetic and poor condition of health as well as education sector in Bihar. Too much crowd. Only government hospital for lakhs of population of bhagalpur. Most rich and middle class people never visit government hospital . It is only for poor people who can not afford high fees of private hospital and clinic. Rich and middle class only visit for medical certificate purpose. Too much work load on staffs. When I visited male opd was closed for more than 2 hours and there was a huge chunk of people waiting outside for the opd to open.
