The
first
Fossil
Park
in
Jharkhand
State
which
is
opened
recently
(pricisely
on
30th
June
2022)
for
the
visitors.
The
Forest
Department
of
Jharkhand
made
a
good
effort
bringing
the
Fossils
found
in
Rajmahal
Hills
to
this
place
and
making
a
Park
surrounding
a
small
hillock
covered
with
variety
of
trees.
There
are
fossils
of
trees
which
are
said
to
be
of
a
period
ranging
6
crore
80
lakh
years
to
14
crore
50
lakh
years
back.
Those
specimens
are
displayed
in
a
small
but
very
attractive
museum
inside
the
park.
There
is
long
stairs
leading
to
the
top
of
the
small
hillock
from
where
a
360
degree
view
of
the
surrounding
can
be
seen.
A
road
rounding
the
hillock
can
also
be
travelled
by
a
paid
electric
vehicle.
A
guest
house
is
also
being
prepared
for
enthusiastic
traveller.
The
infrastructure
of
the
Park
needs
to
be
improved
with
more
signage
and
provisions
for
toilets,
pure
drinking
water
along
with
some
eateries
inside
the
park
to
attract
tourists
from
other
states
also.
The
Park
has
a
entry
fee
of
₹10/-
and
there
are
separate
entry
fee
for
the
museum
and
its
show.
