This waterfall is over 150 feet tall and is located on the River Menali, which flows further to meet the River Banas and River Badech. Menal is a small village in the district of Chittorgarh, about 90 kilometres from the city, located on the Chittor-Bundi Road. The village is a major attraction in Rajasthan due to its ancient temples, traditional architecture, nature, and Rajasthan’s rich culture. Menal is a popular picnic destination due to its beautiful scenery and proximity to Kota, Chittorgarh, Rawatbhata, Mandalgarh, Bhilwara, and Shahpura. The ancient monuments and scenic beauty of the area also attract nature lovers, architecture enthusiasts, and photographers who are always looking for unusual places to visit.

Good place for every one. Appears to be architectural temple of Lord Shiva. Picnic spot but have precautions with children as place having rift and flowing water.Monkeys are always hovering around so be careful. Waterfall can be seen during monsoon season..rest other days very thin flow can be seen .

Menal Waterfall is located near Menal Shiv Mandir is located Bhilwara Kota highway Road Menal District Bhilwada Rajasthan India. Waterfall is very beautiful and charming in rainy season only but near greenery and oldest beautiful shiv temple is located nearest for tourist attraction. Must visit with you and your family and friends.

Beautiful architecture will take your breath away. Must visit in monsoon to enjoy that beautiful view of waterfall. One thing i would request to all the visitors, is not to spill around your waste in the premises. It will add on to that one simple step, that we as a nationalist can take.

There aren't many words to define the beauty of this amazingly beautiful place blessed by Lord Shiva. You'll feel at peace after visiting the Shiva temple and definitely be mesmerized by the waterfall, especially in the monsoon. However, a few man made problems I observed were: 1. Lack of parking facility: two-wheelers were parked right outside the gate and cars occupied space on both sides of the road, making the place unnecessarily overcrowded. 2. Entrance: free and 24/7 but very narrow. I can only imagine if there's an emergency then there are chances of stampede. 3. Garbage, plastic waste: people have littered everywhere. I understand that Menal has become picnic spot and a weekend getaway but we should be aware and careful about not bringing plastic to this place. Administration should be proactive in dealing with the waste problem.

This water fall is just beside the temple and is worh visiting during Monsoon period. The eye catching views are truly mesmerizing and you will surely love it. This place is much crowded than the temple, but still it is worth visiting. Also you are not allowed to enter in water during monsoon because of high flow rate. The greenery around the fall will surely attract your eyes, and will slightly give a feeling of being in Mountains.👍🏻

Excellent place to visit on your way to udaipur from Kota / jaipur. No need to take any detour to visit this place.. carry some towels if you want to get drenched in the flowing water. Water is scenic. no entry charge. Many small road side eateries are there outside the spot.

Very nice place. Perfect combination of natural beauty and ancient architecture. The main attraction is the waterfall especially in monsoon but the Mahdev temple built in 12th century show the testament of ancient engineering and craftmenship. The craft work on the outer walls of the temple are similar to the temples in South. The recreational work is going on and maybe after some time the campus will return to its old glory. The temple campus is big but lacks basic amenities of water cooler and toilets, visit should be planned accordingly.

Just Back Side of Menal Shiva Temple There is HUGE Water Fall. This Waterfall is Very OLD, older than Shiva temple as it is Natural Resource. Great Place for Picnic ! Spending 2 hrs and REST ! Come here with Eatables & Drinking Water !

Absolutely fantastic experience visiting this beautiful Waterfall right next to the Shiva Temple. I spent a lot of time here just enjoying the peace and tranquility of this place. Sadly, uncivilized people have dirtied this place a lot and thrown a lot of trash. Hope this doesn't happen in the future. Nevertheless a must visit place.

good place to visit specially during monsoon season. great scenic beauty of hills and waterfall. one day trip can be planned with family or friends. Dont forget to carry clothes with you as you will enjoy the waterfall and it will be wonderful picnic trip. Religious people visit the place to worship the ancient shiva temple and Hanuman temple at the site. it is less than 1 km from NH 27 and road is there to reach the destination.

Just can't express my feelings. View is great. Good place to hangout. Authority hre does not allow to go near the water fall. But I went there. It's mesmerizing. There is an old temple of lord Shiva here.

Ok so the Waterfall is a bit overrated, not because of the lack of scenic beauty but two big reasons 1. The pathway to the bottom of the fall is closed. That way, Padakhar seems to be a better alternative. Though Menal is not too bad. 2. The more important attraction should be the majestic 11-12th century temples. Sculptures in the outer wall are just a treat for history lovers. Overall, Menal is a must visit place for picnics in this Rainy season. There is a nice restaurant as well nearby(Menal resort). So a day's trip can be easily planned.
