Medigadda pump house which is located in metapalle which is almost the border of the Telangana and the whole kaleshwaram is a engineering marvel in the history of Telangana. It is around 290 km from Hyderabad and takes about 5 hours and 120 km from warangal and 140 from karimnagar which takes around 3 hours to reach and it is the border of Telangana and the bridge here is shared by telangana and Maharashtra states commonly. The place is allowed for general public visiting from 9 to 5 daily. Such an amazing and biggest pump houses built which reverse pumps the water from downer areas to upper areas with the big pumps. The construction is still going on at this pump house and the water pumping might start very soon here. Do visit to see how the project is designed and built in such an amazing way.

Medigadda Pump House is the starting point and heart of the Kaleshwaram Project . Water from Godavari river is pumped into Annaram Barrage through gravity canals. It consists of very huge Motors which are also called as Baahubali motors. This system is purely engineering brilliance . The efforts made by many thousands of people is really appreciable and amazing. Best time to visit here is evening and morning . We can buy a wide variety of fresh fishes in early mornings.
