Built into a cliff side high in the Himalayan Mountains, the complex of nine temples is one of the most important sacred sites for Buddhist followers, said to be blessed by Guru Rinpoche. Though it takes about a 4 hour hike to reach Paro Taktsang, the majestic view of the Himalayas from above make the trek well worth it! Anyone looking for a spiritual awakening should consider making this pilgrimage!

It's a very beautiful place to visit in. Although it's very risky to get to the monastery. It's also called Tiger's Nest. It is believed that during 1609 a statue of Buddha spoke to the devotees for the killing of devils. It's over 3kms high mountain. A pass of RS.500 is available at the gate post and 50% discount is available for students. One can hire sticks and horses to climb the hill.

Must visit this place when you are in Bhutan. There is a small place for shopping before the start of the tigers nest hiking trail.

It's beautiful forest around Tiger's nest in Bhutan. You walk through this lush green forest and climb a high hill to reach ancient Gompa where Guru Padmasambhav mediated for 3 years.

The Hike to temple is beautiful and tough one. Go with enough time, water and its cold at top. The Temple View is awesome. Don't Miss while visiting Bhutan.
