I do not even know where to begin in writing a review for this company. From the very beginning, just organizing the tour, they were absolutely wonderful to deal with. I had changing dates and different requests, and they helped me out with everything. I cannot say enough about our guide, Sonam. He was the perfect choice for our guide. He struck a perfect balance of talking and keeping quiet when the moment called for it. He was super informative (a degree in Buddhist philosophy helped I am sure), and just overall a pleasant person to be around. As someone who loves to book my own travels, I was hesitant when I found out I would have to leave that up to the company and not be able to choose my own accommodations or restaurants, but there is nothing they booked for us that I would change. Everything was far beyond our expectations; we really couldn't have asked for anything more. I highly recommend booking a tour through Breathe Bhutan if you are planning a trip to Bhutan in the future, you will not regret it. I could keep writing but you should go visit and find out yourself.

I had a great time with Breath Bhutan. My first attempt to go and travel in Bhutan was on late march 2020. I had already paid everything to Breath Bhutan back then. Then Covid19 changed our lifes and it was not possible to travel anymore. Breath Bhutan sent me the prepaid money immediately back. We then stayed for a period over 2.5 years in touch. They then informed me even before it was official that bhutanese tourists concil will rise the eco fee to 200 USD a day. Breath Bhutan then processed my visa just before the new regulation so that I enjoyed the old price. My experience in the country itself with Thinley as my guide and Dorji as my driver was unique from the first second to the end. The hotels and activities were chosen carefully and were extremely nice. I had a very comfortable car and a great guide with a big knowledge about Bhutan. I would choose Breath Bhutan any time again and the same I recommend to other travellers who want to see the real authentic Bhutan

I've been planning our family vacation to Bhutan as from 2019, however we had to cancel our trip and postpone it to 2023, given the pandemic. Jigme and Kinley from Breathe Bhutan were helpful throughout - and thanks to them we planned our personalised itinerary to the most minute of details. Both the trip to Bhutan and Breathe Bhutan exceeded our expectations in every possible way. On day 1 we were invited to Kinley's house to a traditional Bhutanese dinner, where we met his family and friends. Nima, our guide, was amazing and he even took us on a hike they was not in our itinerary! Last bit not least our driver, Sonam, was one of a kind! Traveling to Bhutan is an experience that I'll treasure for the rest of my life...however what made it more unique are the uniquely amazing people of Breathe Bhutan and the Bhutanese themselves! Highly recommended!

Our visit to Bhutan with Breathe Bhutan was absolutely amazing! Everything about our trip was arranged wonderfully, and you can really see the pride and care the Breathe Bhutan team puts in to making your experience unforgettable. Visiting Bhutan is by no means cheap, but you should visit now when the country is still relatively undiscovered by tourists. The money from the SDF also goes to good causes, so we were happy to pay it. Even if it were possible, I can’t imagine visiting Bhutan without a guide and driver as you’d miss out on so much of the culture and history knowledge that make Bhutan so special. The itinerary that was arranged was a good balance of seeing a lot and covering lots of ground while in Bhutan, without being too overwhelming. Our guide, Pelden, was incredible and you could tell how much he cared about our experience and making sure we were completely satisfied and loving the trip. The friend I was traveling with has Celiac’s Disease and Pelden was great about ensuring everywhere we went was prepared ahead of time to accommodate her allergy. I had been a little worried about the food before we arrived, but the places they took us all had amazing food and LOTS of it. Our driver, Kinzang, was great and did an amazing job making us feel safe even despite the “interesting” roads all throughout Bhutan. We are two 25 year old women and felt completely safe in Bhutan during the entire trip. It is an amazing country to go to and I’d encourage everyone to go sooner than later. If you’re fortunate enough to go, you MUST book with Breathe Bhutan. They allow you to completely customize your experience, and are incredibly invested in making sure you have the best experience. PS: perhaps our favorite experience was our first night, getting to have dinner and drinks with the Breathe Bhutan team. That will be a memory we cherish for a very, very long time! All the best.

In the planning all our wishes were met, the team was also very patient with changes here. The course of the trip was perfectly planned and executed. The special thing about the trip was that breath buthan even invited us several times in private homes to make it possible to experience Bhutan as authentic as possible. In addition, all accommodations were very well chosen. Our guide Sonam Tshering and our driver Phuentsho were extremely attentive and kept the plan flexible and perfect despite our illness. They even organized an additional ceremony for us with a monk. S.T. has an incredible knowledge about all details of Bhutanese culture, religion and traditions. We felt and still feel like part of the family and could not have imagined a better trip, in fact it would be far surpassed. For all those who want a trip with goosebumps and tears of joy including unforgettable memories must book with breath Bhutan.

What an outstanding experience. Breathe Bhutan organised our trip from start to finish and ensured that everything was seamless during our trip. From the moment we landed in Paro, we were welcomed with open arms by Nima & Phuentsho. Every day was truly spectacular — we had unique local experiences (including meals in Bhutanese homes, planting rice plants in the paddy fields & attending professional archery competitions!). The hospitality of the Bhutanese people is second to none, and we will always remember our time here because of the people we met along the way. If you are interested in coming to Bhutan look no further than Breathe Bhutan — they are a great team! Special thanks to Nima & Phuentsho who spent morning, noon, and night with us & who made our trip truly amazing. Also shoutout to Kinley, the owner of the company, for his hospitality and for making this trip happen.

If you are thinking of a trip to Bhutan, then you must do it through Breath Bhutan. Let me explain. My Wife and I decided to visit Bhutan in 2019 and we planned the trip through Breath Bhutan, and were almost about to leave but then the pandemic hit and everything went on hold. Throughout the pandemic, we were in constant touch with the team and they kept us updated. Then finally in 2022 the borders and quarantines are relaxed and we finally get to go again and Breath Bhutan's team again helped us with everything and in Feb 2023 we finally go to Bhutan. From the moment we stepped out of the airport we were greeted by our Guide and Driver - Nima Dorji and Kinley Dorji respectively. From that moment on we had 2 great friends for our trip. Nima and Kinley took amazing care of us. They showed us so much about the culture and history of Bhutan, but not only that it was the little things that made the trip even more amazing. for example - when we had a long car journey from Punakha to Paro, our guides had planned a amazing impromptu picnic at a botanical garden along the way. They themselves had prepared some delicious local foods for us to try and enjoy, and the Hot tea they made went really well with the delicious food and the cold weather. Nima and Kinley really showed us the sights and I never ever got the feeling that this was just a job they were doing. I really felt like a part of their family that had come to visit for the first time and they were really happy to show me and my wife as much as they could. I wish Breathe Bhutan all the best and I hope their team continues to keep up the great work, because I am definitely going back and will be looking to them in the future as well.

A tour of Bhutan, 4 years in the making. A trip that was supposed to happen in 2020, didn’t happen until 2023. We arrived in Paro for a 10 day tour of Bhutan. We were picked up at the airport by Ugyen, our temporary guide, and Kinley, our temporary driver. The first day we went to the Paro Festival had lunch and visited the farmers market. We were supposed to fly to Bhumtang the next day, but after checking in for our flight, we later found out that the flight was cancelled. Not to worry, within an hour Kinley returned to drive us to Bhumtang so we wouldn’t miss out on what we had planned for the next day. Hats off to Jigme and Kinley Wangchuk, the owner of Breathe Bhutan, for making the arrangements to get us to Bhumtang. That night we were met at our hotel by Phuentsho, our new driver, and Sonam, our new guide. They would be with us for the rest of our tour. Our 10 days were well planned by Breathe Bhutan. From the food to the lodging, everything was first class. Sonam answered every question we had, and there were many. And we felt very safe with Phuentsho at the wheel. He is an excellent driver. Bhutan is a magical place and the people are friendly and kind. I took close to 1,000 pictures but I thought I would just post a few of the people I met during my stay. So many pictures of the Dzongs and Temples don’t really convey the amazing architecture. I was able to see and do everything I had planned on, including making it all the way to the top of the Tiger’s Nest. I can’t say enough good things about Breathe Bhutan. If you are thinking about visiting Bhutan, I highly recommend going with Breathe Bhutan.

I traveled to Bhutan from June 04-08, 2023 and Breathe Bhutan made everything possible for me. From the time I sent them email to inquire about if they can customize and curate my itinerary and provide me reasonable cost, until the moment their team safely took me back to the airport on my last day of the trip, I can happily and honestly say that I did the BEST decision of choosing Breathe Bhutan over the other Bhutan-based accredited tour operators. Very customer-friendly, accomodating to all my requests, provided decent, clean & spacious hotels in 3 cities that I’ve been to - Thimphu, Punakha and Paro and offerred Bhutanese experience in terms of food, culture, religion, lifestyle. They have the safest and friendliest driver and most informative and concerned tour guide, and all staff are efficient, professional and quick in reverting to my emails and updating me on status of my visa and receipt of payment. I don’t usually travel with a tour operator however, as it’s a requirement of Bhutan for all visiting foreign tourists, I would easily say that if time and chance permit me to revisit the Kingdom of Bhutan in the near future, I will surely be back hopefully with my son (as I want him to experience the same things I did), and definitely with the same team of Breathe Bhutan. Disclosure : The comment above was never influenced by anyone & was given freely by the author, sans travel sponsorship, hence it’s just, truthful and fair.

We had a great time in Bhutan, and Breathe Bhutan did a great job in organizing everything. This trip was planned before COVID and Kinley kept us informed, and in 2023 we finally made it to Bhutan. I like the personal touch Kinley and team did during our stay, guide Nima and driver Kinzang were great. Would highly recommend Breathe Bhutan if you are thinking of going to Bhutan.

There are no words to express what a special and magical place Bhutan is. And Breathe Bhutan is one of the reasons our trip was a once-in-a-lifetime travel experience. Kinley was our master of ceremonies. Pasa and Sonam, our guides, taught us so much about each place, the culture, Buddhism, and everyday life. Our drivers kept us safe and joined in the prayer flag and hiking activities. Each and every day was our favorite. I would highly recommend Bhutan to family and friends and they should not visit without first engaging Breathe Bhutan.

Breathe Bhutan gave us the best experience imaginable and made our first Bhutanese trip a very special one. From the moment we arrived at the airport we were received with warm welcome. Kinley Wangchuk even hosted a dinner and shared with us some of his dreams and aspirations. The entire trip was beautiful to say the least from a very knowledgeable and thoughtful guide (Dorji was amazing!) and driver team to a very customised experience that really gave us a taste of local cultures, food and sights. 10/10 will recommended Breathe Bhutan to anyone who wants to see Bhutan with a great personal touch.

My trip with Breathe Bhutan was incredible! I’d initially planned to travel in November of 2020, but was finally able to make it this year- and it was worth the wait. The communication from the team beforehand was quick, efficient, and helpful. The planning was easy and they took the different activities I chose and wove them perfectly into an itinerary of things I wouldn’t have even known about. I loved the more local feel and activities available through Breathe Bhutan, and it made it feel like an even more authentic experience (everything from dinner and music out with the owner Kinley, his father in law, and friends, to a local school visit, to visiting his childhood home and getting to do archery, to hikes I never would have found). My guide Kiran and driver Phuentsho were amazing! I loved our conversations and they had so much to share about their amazing country. Kiran was so helpful and was able to make adjustments along the way, adding in some beautiful hikes, making sure meals were vegetarian friendly, finding places for me to get some souvenirs I was wanting, etc. I’m so thankful I had them as my guide and driver during my time in Bhutan! I hope this trip isn’t my last to Bhutan, and I would absolutely choose Breathe Bhutan again for my next trip! Thank you Kinley, Jigme, Kiran, Phuentsho, and everyone else who helped plan and make this such an incredible trip!! I’m forever grateful!

My family of three had a most memorable experience during our recent trip to Bhutan. Being an avid traveller, during the planning of the trip, I decided to not to go with the flow of choosing a big-name popular agent but to work with Breathe Bhutan, an independent boutique agency to customise a more personalised and in-depth experience. The pre-trip, during-trip and post-trip follow-up had been excellent with prompt responses to enquiries and requests, attentive and accommodating to our needs during the trip. Beyond the itinerary elements, we were invited to spend New Year’s Eve at the owner’s home and interacted with his family and friends. We were also able to immerse in the local living culture with a visit to the owner’s village, witnessed an annual ritual for New Year blessings and share a meal with their family. The guide, Phuba, and driver, Wangdi, have been such wonderful company and took great care of us. They were sensitive to our needs, adjusting the itinerary to our fitness level and interests. They were even always at hand to help chase away the cats and dogs that I have an inherent fear of (and in Bhutan, there are abundance). The guide, Phuba, even lent his sister’s kira (Bhutanese traditional costume) to my daughter for photo-opportunity when we couldn’t find a size that fitted her at the local shops. Such kindness and generosity that went beyond the call-of-duty, touched our hearts. Throughout the trip, we feel like a group of friends travelling together, sharing information on the culture and history of the destination, chatting, joking and laughing together. It was such a fulfilling and enriching experience. I highly recommend booking your trip with Breathe Bhutan.

Breathe Bhutan created an extraordinary immersive cultural experience for our group of six (3 teens and 3 adults). From informative stories, spectacular temple visits, breathtaking hikes, local culinary flavors, precious wildlife reserves, casual archery and dart games, traditional farm houses, soothing hot stone baths...we experienced so many aspects of Bhutan. Thank you Ganchu, Dawa and Azha for welcoming us into, and sharing, your beautiful country.

Wow! Just amazing! I cannot say enough incredible things about my experience with Breathe Bhutan. From the initial inquiries with owner Kinley - who was incredibly responsive and created a bespoke itinerary which included everything I had requested, to my driver Wangdi and guide Sonam who greeted me at the airport with such kindness and good humour, the whole process of getting to Bhutan was made smooth and swift by Breathe Bhutan. My guide Sonam is incredibly knowledgeable on his country’s history, architecture, religion and topography and is also superb company. I felt blessed that he was my guide as it is clear that he is very skilled and has a great love for what he does and for the places he shows. Sonam really enhanced my whole Bhutan experience. My driver Wangdi is warm hearted and great company. He drives very safely and with great care, popping up with a snack or a drink bottle at the most opportune times! He accompanied me on the Tiger’s Nest hike and was kind enough to help ease my way by carrying my backpack. Kinley and his wife invited me to their home for a BBQ with their wonderful staff. It was a fantastic night to get to know some locals and have a taste of their culture. Kinley’s wife also kindly made my teddy bear travel companions traditional Bhutanese outfits, and this generous touch made my trip even better. Breathe Bhutan’s commitment to a tailor-made experience really shone with this gesture. Choose Breathe Bhutan – they will ensure you leave Bhutan with the best memories!

Bhutan is open and Breath Bhutan knows how to get you there! The first week of August I managed to travel to Bhutan with the help of Breathe Bhutan, a woman-owned business. The country has started accepting tourists ahead of the Sept 23rd official open date, but most people don't realize it yet; I was not able to travel in September, so the owner called around and found out how she could get me the travel permit early under the new regulations. In fact, when I arrived, they told me I was one of the first tourists to visit since the shutdown over two years ago. Thanks to Breathe Bhutan I had a seamless, wonderful experience. They were professional, kind, welcoming, knowledgeable and fun. On very short notice, they figured out how to get my travel authorization and arranged a tour for me based on my interests and time frame, which was sadly too short. They worked hard to get my PCR test results back before the 24 hrs was up so that I could start my tour and see as much as possible. My guide Sonam was great! Always available, he kept me informed of everything, and answered all of my questions. Visiting the sites with him was phenomenal, he knew so much about the history of the temples and monasteries and the country. And he was always feeding me! So much good food in Bhutan. On the hike to the Tiger's Nest he was patient with my slow pace and even helped me carry my camera to make it easier for me. He really went above and beyond in everything. I was having trouble with a picture for an e-visa for my next destination and he brought me to a local photo studio with a white backdrop so that I could get the correct standards I needed. I just can't say enough about the service everyone from Breathe Bhutan provided. In Thimphu one of the owners of the company came to meet me and joined us for dinner and then invited me to a bar/club/venue for live music. Everyone was so attentive and made me feel welcomed like family. Right now is a great time to visit Bhutan while there are no tourists yet and Breathe Bhutan knows how to navigate the new travel protocols. They can help you with whatever you need, just reach out!

We did a comparison with a couple different other tour companies and are so happy with our decision to go with Breathe Bhutan. They are actually one of our favorite tour companies we've ever used! Where they stand out: providing a truly personalized itinerary based on your budget, catering to younger travelers, prioritizing the customer experience, and ensuring we were connected to the company and its employees beyond a financial transaction. We got to meet the owner, Kinley, and other members of the team for dinner while we were in Thimphu. We were inspired with Kinley's entrepreneurial spirit and his drive to better Bhutanese lives with all that he's learned. Big shout-out to our homies Kiran (guide) and Sonam (driver) for taking care of us so well! Kiran gave us Bhutanese names, played songs for us to loudly sing in the car, and even used some of his first-aid training on one of our group members, lol. Sonam was an expert driver, always kept the car clean, and was a much more involved driver than I've ever really experienced on trips like this. I will be recommending Breathe Bhutan to any friends and family who plan to visit the country! Kadinchey la! With love, Sonam B, Jigsel, and Pema

If you're thinking of going to Bhutan, you must, and you must do so with Breathe Bhutan. I recently returned from my trip, 8 days, 7 nights where I traveled extensively in the country and made incredible memories. Sonam was my guide and Karma was my driver. I couldn't have asked for a better dream team, or adventure buddies. They were so knowledgeable and kind. I felt welcomed as family by these two, as well as Kinley, who met up for dinner and checked in on me through the trip. I was so impressed, and as a solo, female traveler, felt so safe during my entire trip. The itinerary was tailored to exactly what I asked for: culture/people, outside activities and adventure. The Breathe Bhutan team scheduled a hike for me almost every day and set me up with the most organic and authentic experiences, like visiting a school and getting out of the more touristy areas to really sit down and spend time with locals, including monks! Each time I had a question, Sonam had an answer... and I had a lot of questions. The whole team was incredibly responsive as I prepared for my trip, making everything clear and easy. When I visit Bhutan in the future, I will go once again through Breathe Bhutan. You should too!

The mountains and the magic of Bhutan is best experienced with Breathe Bhutan. Our guide Tsheten and driver Kinley were both amazing and knowledgeable. They tirelessly assisted me and brother on our hike to Bumdrak and attended to all our needs. Kinley and Jigme were very helpful with our last minute booking changes and accommodation. The recommendations to change our hotel to the Gaselo Ecolodge was far the best accommodation, wish we could have stayed longer there. Overall, Breathe Bhutan delivered and exceeded our expectations. Kinley even contacted my brother's long lost classmate from 2002. After several travel agency hunting, I'm glad we booked through Breathe Bhutan. Will definitely book with them again since there's so much more to explore and they are the best in making your Bhutan experience unforgettable.

This is such an excellent company to see Bhutan. My wife and I had an excellent time in Bhutan and this company is faultless. The owner, Kinley, is a really great guy - we had a great time with him and his family on the first night, getting to know about Bhutanese culture and sharing stories. Kezang was excellent over email and organising the trip. The main issue we had was organising flights ourselves to Bhutan, whereas the company books it all for you and tailors your trip for your needs. Our guide, Nima, and driver, Kinley, were superb. Extremely nice, warm and lovely people. Very flexible to our needs, and very knowledgeable. Our overall experience of the company and country was so memorable and wonderful. Honestly, couldn't imagine a better company - not just for Bhutan but in any country we visited (we've visited 40 countries). We would have loved to have stayed longer (only 3 nights and 4 days), but it is very pricey due to the daily visa fee, however, you can see that money goes back into making the country the beautiful unique place it is, so more than happy to pay it, otherwise, we would have stay 7-10 days easily! If you can afford it, do it! It's one of the best countries we've ever been to and completely different to any we've been to before. Beautiful scenic views, amazing culture, great good, and lovely, genuine people. Absolutely incredible, reliable, legitimate, reputable company. Thank you, for giving my wife and I the best time :).

I recently went to Bhutan and had the most amazing experience with Breathe Bhutan!! From the first inquiry I made, the team was nothing but kind and extremely helpful. I connected with Kinley who created the perfect itinerary with me and answered all my questions—their team is super communicative and you can tell they aim to curate the perfect experience for each traveler. I really appreciate how seamless Kinley made the process leading up to my arrival in Bhutan! Once arriving in Bhutan, I was greeted so warmly by my guide (Pasa) and driver (Dorji) who really made the experience a 1000/10. They were both friendly, fun to be around and I loved learning about Bhutan through both of them. They did an awesome job at catering the tour to my interests and making sure that I was well taken care of the entire time! My favorite part of the trip was the Bumdra Trek, which was challenging for me, but Pasa made me feel comfortable, went at my pace and carried all my things (!!), which was beyond kind! This hike was really rewarding and I was so happy I had such a supportive guide helping me through it. Overall, the kindness & hospitality of Kinley, Pasa and Dorji really made the trip remarkable for me; they are so welcoming and really make you feel like a friend who they are showing around their beautiful country. I really cannot say enough great things about my experience—every aspect of the trip from start to finish was special because of Breathe Bhutan. If you’re looking to visit Bhutan, Breathe Bhutan is the way to go! I am excited to visit again and will definitely be going with Breathe Bhutan once I do!

Excellent service, communication, and adventures. Our experience with Breathe Bhutan spanned over 2.5 years. From the original planning and booking to the pandemic delay to the actual trip, the Breathe Bhutan team offered ideas and kept us updated on options. Our trip itself was made special by Kinley (owner), Sonam (guide), and Dorji (driver). All three gentlemen found moments to personalize our experience. We will always remember the music at Mojo Park in Thimphu, assisting with accommodations for food allergies/restrictions, and the hilariously muddy hike to Bumdra and Tigers Nest. We are looking forward to returning to Bhutan and working with Breathe Bhutan again.

My daughter,Michelle and I have had a fabulous trip to Bhutan. We fell in love with the beauty, people and culture of Bhutan. The most delightful experience of all was intermingling with local folks, especially harvesting Bhutan tea leaves with young monks, Kinley's mother showing us how to make Bhutan tea in her home. The guiding staff was most accommodating in our every turn. I highly recommend the "Breathe Bhutan" tour.

Our guide (Namgay Rinchen) and driver (Pema) were fantastic. We were in Bhutan for 9 days/8 nights and would highly recommend visiting Bhutan with Breathe Bhutan. Everything was extremely organized, but yet also really flexible if we wanted to swap out some activities for other things. We were constantly laughing, learning new things (both us and the guides) about different cultures, governments, cuisine, dating, professions, religions, the city... and the list goes on. After our first day, we already started feeling like a family - which felt extremely special spending our vacation in Bhutan. We also got to become friends with some other Breathe Bhutan-ers, and it was nice to meet some other travelers. The entire trip we felt extremely taken care of, safe, and in very good hands. Highly recommend working with this group, and we definitely will be contacting them when we book our next trip back to Bhutan! 🧡💛🤍 Kadrincheyla!
