Great place to have lip smacking food. If you're in the vicinity, looking for some good food - This is your place. Tends to be crowded during peak hours.

The place was nice service was bit slow but can be ignored. Food taste was good. Ambience was also good. Try Crispy corn in this place.

Palagaram.com is a localised version of A2B. Sadly A2B itself has opened a branch in Chidambaram. Taste is also similar . It would be better if they introduce creative dishes out of the box. A bit pricey too.

Edit: I had previously given a two star rating for a normal dining experience but reducing it to one star after their New Year Special Unlimited Buffet. To put it simply, they bit off way more than they could chew. We arrived well on time and most of the food was over and many of them weren't refilled. The food was cold. The refills did not taste good and weren't properly cooked. They didn't have adequate number of staff to serve, not enough space and didn't overall did not have the infrastructure to handle such an event. Will definitely not be going again. They boasted 40+ varieties where in reality you didn't get anything close to that. Poor experience, no management, poor service and poor quality of food, no consistency. It was not a pleasant experience. Normal dining review: We ordered two veg biriyanis and one veg fried rice. Both the veg biriyanis tasted different. The taste on a whole was average. The quantity and quality of the food is very less, especially considering the very high price they serve it for. The service was also not good. It's too slow and the servers don't pay attention. When we asked for that bill, that took a very long too, even though there was only one other table full. The atmosphere was not good. There were flies buzzing around, all over the place. For the price, this place is absolutely not worth it. You're better off eating elsewhere.

Went with family for dinner. If u r looking for a multi cuisine restaurant in a small town, then this is the choice. Clean and nice. Located in heart of temple town. They have lot of varieties, little expensive. Charging equivalent to cities like bangalore and chennai. Had Gobi Manchurian, idly and chola poori. Taste wise good. Various chutney provided for idly. Chola poori is made of atta (not with maida) , so it is little harder to eat. Tastes as like poori. People working here are good. They help u whatever you want. Before to chidambaram temple , someone was issuing pamphlets for advertising. Not sure why it is required. If people knows real value, then they definitely come. They accept card, upi too. Even asked auto driver , everyone suggests other restaurants, but not this.

Price is high , service is well maintained , taste of the dish is outstanding my suggestion is to maintain Order management (served me different dish ) Water management ( more people water dryout) Othere than this staff is humble and more different varieties in the menu and with good taste that is the highlight

We stopped here randomly when we were returning back to Chennai from our temple trip. I ordered Chidambaram meals and I can’t say enough how good it was. One of the amazing meals I have had in my life . Simple but mouth watering. Extremely polite and kind waters who kept serving us more food without even us asking . Hope your restaurant reached many hearts and tummies ❤️

Good breakfast. Quality is authentic. Being in front of the famous temple and in a brahmin locale, you get the real feel of brahmin food. Filter coffee is top notch.

Ambience of the restaurant is nice. Well maintained and clean. We started with cream of Veg soup and it was tasty, since we were bored having meals, tried Vegetable Briyani and Curd rice also tasted good. Crispy corn was well made which was icing in the cake for us. Pricewise little expensive

Food is ok but very Highly priced for this area . Can't expect a lot of things . Mainly good for Chinese and starters... Chat items are a hidden gem . Not listed in the menu but still being served. See attached menu

Service was good and they were trying to impress. Very evident that they were trying to impress and get a better rating. I had idiyappam, Rava Dosa, and coconut sweet. Price was higher on comparison among other restaurants of Chidambaram. Test was okay, Dosa was very oily and sweet was not so good. They put big banner outside that mini breakfast is Rs 65 and at time order, they mention that offer period is over and it now is Rs 100. Misleading!!!

The food was mouth watering.. I went for breakfast and dinner.. Ragi idiyappam with dat coconut milk was awesome.. Still can't get over the taste.. Ela idli was yummy 😋 Everything we ordered was worth the try.. Manager their is very mindful and hardworking.. Service can be better and can increase the seating areas, since it's too crowded..

A very good vegetarian restaurant. Food taste and quality is at par with top vegetarian chain restaurants. Bit pricey though. Meals, breads, sides, starters, juices all available. Parking is in a nearby lot so have to walk a bit. above average restrooms.

One of a good place to have family dinners! Ambience was good. Food could be better comparing with price range which is slightly on the pricier side. This definitely is the best choice restaurant for tourists but not for native people’s!

A near and home feeling place with great service, very friendly waiters and absolutely delicious food. Given this town being a pilgrimage and heritage town.. it was surprisingly vast and diverse menu all the way from simple idly dosa tiffin items to sizzlers and Chopsuey along with some experimental dishes. We tried chinese sizzles and a new sizzling gravy dish called "Paneer Jwalamukhi" which was surprisingly tasty and textured... Right now they have some kinda festival going in front yard serving from basic chats to pasta and pizzas

Good place to have and enjoy food here. We were 12 and ordered many dishes here. Sizzler, rolls, baby corn manchurian and kaju gravy were excellent in taste. Hospitality was good. Must visit place to have good food in Chidambaram. Air conditioning was the only annoying thing. Higher price but no compromise on quality. Felt so happy for having lunch here.

On 8th June 2023 we went to palaharam restaurant. They have a dining in front of sweets & snacks counter, they said they will provide food in this front dining also. But we don't know the food has to come from back side dining kitchen. Every server, waiter found very hard and felt very uneasy to bring every dish. Whatever we say, they reply it has to reply from back side building and it will take minimum 20-30 mins. At last we ordered dosa, and on serving we found its ice cool, for that they replied it's hard to serve from back side building. Quality also was worst, next two days, we had stomach issues. Service was also very worst. Better they can close dining in front hotel.

Fabulous hospitality, with great service and friendly staff. Food is extremely delicious with authentic taste. The best part is, this hotel doesn't uses ajinomoto or any food colour. Covid protocols are followed strictly. One can not miss this awesome place being in Chidambaram. It will never leave anyone with regret. A must visit place.

For people passing through or visiting Chidambaram, this place is a must visit, Idiyappam with coconut milk(star component) and white korma is heavenly. Ghee masala dosa, Ghee podi idli and Paniyaram(sweet and kharam combo) are the other dishes we ordered. Delight in every bite , that's what I can say and for the grand finale, one beautiful filter cofee. Best food ever i had in years.

Last year we had an experience in the same hotel at that time it was really good. Now we revisit the same hotel and feeling very bad with thier service. Foods quality not that good & quantity also too less.

We visited Chidambaram in November 2022. This restaurant is in walkable distance from Nataraja's temple. The place was simple and sweet. There were numerous options in the menu. We stayed there for two days and tried different items every time and the taste never disappointed us. My 5-year old also liked the yummy food. On the last visit, we mentioned it's our anniversary. The whole staff treated us with great warmth and created a little cake from a dessert. We were overwhelmed by their hospitality.

Wow.. Very nice veg restaurant in Chidambaram. Hospitality is amazing. Varieties of food available. We ordered American choosy and Bombay meals. It was awesome.
