Go there if you look for authentic good old fashioned vegetarian Udupi cuisine. I was there for breakfast and dinner. I suggest Adai Aviayal and Idli - Kothsu. Did not try their lunch

Udipi Sri Krishna Vilas popular and one of the oldest hotel in Chidambaram. They serve all tiffins in traditional plantain leaf with a very good taste. You must try masala dosa here. They open till night 9:30. Excellent part is that they don't put small onion aka garlic in any item. I recommend Udipi Sri Krishna Vilas for your tiffins option

Authentic rustic mess to have a wonderful breakfast!! The place is bit inside from the road so easy to miss, lookout for the small board that says "Tiffen Ready" / "Meals Ready". Ample space in road for car parking! The food is vera level!! We had a ghee roast, rava dosa and poori! Dosas were crisp, piping hot and the chutney sambar were out of the world! Poori and aaloo masal were awesome! Then comes the grand finale filter coffee, the best South Indian filter coffee!! Sorry I didn't have the patience to take photos of the food, cause they were too tempting and hot, not to dive in straight was a serious mistake 🤣🙏🏻

Very good veg hotel! 1. Breakfast tried , pongal, poori, panner dosa, all are good and served hot. 2. Lunch meals served with sambar, karakolambu, rasam,curd,payasam,poriyal,appalam,oorugai. All tastes are good, rice cooked well not like other hotels. Kids will like it, its more like home cooked Other options we got thayir vada, kasi halwa, pakoda during lunch time. Also varity rice like sambar sadam, thayir sadam, pulav were available if not intreated in full meal. Oveall very good taste. Parking in main road for car, two wheelers can ba ccomadated.

Meals was good... Taste like home food..., more over its a budget hotel with good and tastey food , you will be getting here.. Location wise it's a located in center of the city... You can't park your 4 wheelers coz they don't have parking spaces for 4 Wheeler's... Toilets should be taken care, it's not maintained properly... Serving the food needs to be improved... Over all its good for veg lovers....

Wow, what a taste. We had Coffee, Pongal, Medu Vada, Badam Halwa, Tomato Thokku Dosa and Poori. Tomato dosa Was little sour, kilangu which they gave for Poori was little bland. All other foods are great. They also had carrot halwa, Kasi halwa and some other sweets, but did not try.

A place which gives an old city Vibe, having breakfast early in the morning would taste better as they are served piping hot especially vade.

It's an antique bramin pure vegetarian restaurant in chidambaram, sambar rice is not good but rest of all curd rice and tamarind is tasty .

Incredibly delicious food. You start with a glass of buttermilk to reduce the body heat. Then you gulp down on all delicacies from the Special Thali. Then energise yourself with an appropriately sized bowl of Paiysam. In the end you leave with a month full of tastes of variety of spices and a belly full of super nutritious food.

Vegetarian hotel.. Food is tasty.. Old hotel. Ambience could be improved with parking facility with the available space itself.

Worst ever hospitatlity. I would rather provide no star for hospitality. I informed them about 40 people will come for lunch well in advance (4 days back) but they were so lethargic and they concentrate only on online food delivery and they didnt concentrate for dine-in peoples. They have only 3 people for preparing food and serving and most of the time they were looking at online order alone. When queried about this, they didnt respond well. I will never suggest this place for dine-in.

Worst Experience, Meals not worth for 80rs. We made complaint about the taste.They won't accept our feedback to improve. Very rude behavior as we noticed.. Kindly don't plan to go.

The morning tiffin & coffee was delicious. Their hospitality was something which is rare nowadays. I'll recommend this eatery for anyone who visits/cross Chidambaram. Wonderful experience.

Third time i had worst experience.They aren't providing kootu poriyal for second time. They keen to sale onion pagoda, vada and packed potato chips instead of giving poriyal and kootu. They are very rude to reply also.

15 August, 2023. Visited on Weekday (Long 4 day Vacation), No-wait Time, No-Reservation needed, Dinner This is one of the oldest restaurants in Chidambaram running successfully for 3 Generations. The food they offer is very home-made like, fresh and so good. We had Podi Uthappam Ghee Roast Podi Roast Onion Roast Badam Milk - Rs.45 Rose Milk - Rs.45 It was one of the most delicious food I have ever tasted in a restaurant so far. It was really really really good. Podi Uthappam had a entire full layer of good amount of podi with good oil combo. It was the perfect food with perfect taste. The Orange chatni given was out of this world, very mouth watery, refreshing & FINGER-LICKING-GOOD. Ghee Roast was a very special coz of the high quality made Ghee.The ghee was very homemade-like and it was so so good. Badam Milk and Rose Milk was also in-house and the padam milk is literally full of padam. Both had perfect flavors and blended so well. This Place is a MUST TRY.
